Don't worry about your English and spelling, you're better than a lot of people I know who's first (and only) language is English.

@@iffracem problem is my upload , I check videos before upload but usually I miss something and YT doesn't allow anything except cutting some part out, so every change means delete old video on YT do changes to your back up copy and upload again (and my upload for 15 min long video can take from 3 to 8 hours when I can't do anything except waiting, my internet doesn't work while uploading)

Thanks, it's confirmed I had more or less the right idea!
Couple of things I've found (you'll probably cover in later videos) just a personal thing and I may be completely wrong.
If in a BB I start off with HE, as it's the light cruisers and DD's you tend to get close to first, plus any BB you hit will be at extreme range and all the ships tend to be heading straight at you or a heavy angle, so AP tends to bounce. The trick is to do the change inevitable from HE to AP as soon as you fire, when you're reloading anyway.
I tend to just spam away with HE when I play DD's, unless I get a chance at a flat broadside.
Causing a fire on CV's is frustrating, as they have near constant, instant automatic damage/fire control. But still better to use HE than AP unless you have a flat broadside, as like you say, the AP just shatters or over pens when you're close.
Cruisers... so much variance, light cruisers I tend to use like DD's as far as gunnery goes. Heavies are a mixed bag, some like BB's, some are nearer CL's But for me, I get better results if I "spam" HE.
As for aiming at various parts... I suck!
It might be that I'm in the lower tier boats with lots of dispersion...and I'm over 60 and my eyesight sucks, either that or the Random Number Generator is not my friend.
Recently managed a beautiful flat broadside hit on a BB (a Nevada IIRC) , all 12 shots hit what looked like the middle of hull side just above the water line (according to my screen)... result, one "penetration" and 11 "over penetrations".

Yes more complicated thing will be covered in later videos, I don't want to bore new players to death and/or overwelm them with to much info. RNG is a bitch and You will never get consistant results in this game. I struggle with RNG all the time and hate that bitch (RNG must be a women, no man would be that spiteful 😃)
just spam HE lol
For beginners for sure mate, HE will be best until You learn weakspots and hitting specific ship parts. Only exception are BB's where You should primarily use AP and switch to HE only on some occasions.

By the way. I've started playing Kawachi recently and the dispersion is...wildly inconsistent. I think I have to use HE to get any damage.
@@AscalonHauteclere Short answer is yes, first 4 tiers You can use only HE on any BB line, on tier 5 there is big difference in accuracy so people should start using more and more AP.
