We'll be buying one today in Hilton Head. Smooth and quiet . . . just the way we like it. Thanks
My cousin has a 12 yr old one and it still drives great and looks almost new.
Impressive, pedro fernandez. Definitely a reason why people buy them. Thanks for watching!
My wife and I have owned four of these and they’re fantastic
Great quick review. Thanks for doing it. The 2019's should be dropping in price with the 2020's on the way.
Very true, azlife4me. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Thanks for the quick review! Yes, lots of patience. I like how you added Jafar from Aladdin. LOL!!
Thanks for watching, JUST SAYING!
I love this review and it was quick and not boring! We got a 2018 of this same kind a week ago and we are still in love with it, your review helped us to finalize our decision and makes us to buy one!
Thank you and you got me subscribed to your channel brother!
Congrats on your new car and thank you for your support!
@@AutoAcademics Thank you 🙏
How’s the 18 running now ? How many miles ?
Great review, truthful and to the point. I have one and bought it because of Toyota's reliability.
Thanks for watching, Donald Hall!
I have 2017 sequoia it’s great; I like the land cruiser , but it’s 20 thousand more expensive.
I dont give a hoot about packed tech, "less is more"
Thank you. Very helpful. I just purchased my Highlander and tho I am happy with it, I dont know how everything works together.
Happy we were able to help, Mary Vic. Enjoy your car and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great review!
Thank you for watching, Andi A.!
Nice looking SUV. Toyota always delivers!!!
It's design has definitely held up over the years. Thanks for watching, AbsoluteMdot!
Nice review! Kiss that lifting rear window goodbye for 2020. Sigh!
Thank you, Richard Shelton. To be honest, we were surprised to find the Highlander still had one on the current-gen. Oh, well. Thanks for watching!
Buying one this month at 45k miles, my 2020 crv hybrid is amazing on gas ⛽️ qnd better interior and more tech but my problem is the 4 cylinder engine, at low speeds, the hybrid system is quiet and nice but at high speeds or even cruising speeds, the 4 cylinder characteristics begins to show and as a car enthusiasts, it sucks so i switched to this and hope i haven't made a mistake with reliability. Wish me well
Nice vehicle! Thanks 👍
Good video bro😎👌
Thank you, RWHEEL LOVE. Did you happen to see our latest video on the totally redesigned 2020 Highlander? If not, here you go: ua-cam.com/video/dH1-Z4-ofSc/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching!
I have an 03 with 80k on it, I love it!
etc n2.
I want to see you review for 2020 sequoia please
Thanks Chris, can you deactivate the stop and start?
In many cars you can, kali mann, but I honestly can't remember in this one. 😅 Sorry, but thanks for watching!
You can, the button is on the lower left of the wheel. However, it is re-activated each time the the car is shut off, then started again.
Thinking about trading in my 2019 nissan for one of these
I drive 2019 xle awd
Bought one same color xle awd for 38k tax included
U should have got it in alumina jade
Heated steering wheel with xle?
It’s perfectly Vanilla! 😂
Toyota Appliance.. Goes...Stops...
What more do you want.
When are you expecting to review the 2020 model?
Your guess is as good as ours for now, Z A86, as Toyota hasn't officially launched it yet. Hopefully, we'll get an invite to that so we can share some first looks with you while we wait for it to hit the market. But so far, all they've done is tease a concept at the NY Auto Show. Should be in the upcoming months, though. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
This has everything I want in an SUV. Does anyone know where I can find one? (yes I know it is 2021 but I would love to find a NEW one just like this!) :)
Check cars.com, autotrader.com or even Carvana.com, Tiffany Carey. Those sites should be able to let you know if there are any in your area. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Please does the 2018 also has a tv at the top
We aren't positive, bit it may have been an option as it was on the 2019s, Kelvin Ewudzie Tano. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Very accurate 🙏
Thanks for watching, MGundayao81!
Does it have a quiet engine
Yes. It's relatively quiet, Faustina Gorman, as you can hear in this clip. 5:27 Thanks for watching!
In the land of mediocrity the Highlander is lord.....and there is nothing wrong with that at all
Which one is better this or the Chev Blazer?
The Blazer is a nice vehicle, Shae Chantell, but it's only 5-passenger, while this Highlander is available as an 8-passenger if you get the 2nd row bench seat. So you'll first need to decide if you want a 2-row or 3 row crossover. The Blazer has more up to date tech in it, but the Highlander has its history of reliability. We know this doesn't tell you which one is better, but that's because only you can answer that question. If you haven't seen our review of the Blazer yet, you can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/dIsJf7h7zkg/v-deo.html Hope it helps a little, though, and thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics Thank u
@@shaechantell You're welcome!
How does this exact car match up to the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder platinum?
That's a challenging question, Rasha Sarandah, because we all have different needs and wants from our vehicles. That being said, we prefer the driving characteristics of this 2019 Highlander over the the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder. We've never been fans of the continuously variable transmission (CVT) in the Pathfinder and this Highlander uses a traditional 8-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly enough, we reviewed the redesigned 2020 Highlander and enjoyed that one much better as the tech was improved, among other things. Here's the link if you were curious: ua-cam.com/video/dH1-Z4-ofSc/v-deo.html
Finally, to make things even more confusing (sorry), Nissan just revealed their redesigned 2022 Pathfinder. Again, here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/9-DE7tn85cg/v-deo.html
On this one, they are now using a traditional 9-speed automatic transmission and we are very interested in how it drives. I'm sorry we can't help more, but as you continue to research and possibly test drive, you'll find the one that speaks to you best. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Do not buy any Nissan, they’re crap cars the transmission is garbage!!!
@@Roycutsnfishes my Nissan Rogue is 10 years old and I never had an issue. Just got a 2021 VW Atlas SE and hope it’s good to me
@@AutoAcademics ended up with a 2021 VW Atlas SE. Hope I made a good choice!
@@rashasarandah1695 We've only had limited time in the Atlas and never had one for review yet so we don't have a firm judgement on it. They look nice. Congrats on your purchase!
Toyota is lazy with updating this vehicle
Raff Time look at the new 2020
I just don’t like how it looks outside and the infotainment looks like a disaster
We were surprised with how well it actually drove compared to the newer vehicles in its class and it's priced well when compared to other vehicles in its class. But if you're in to having the latest and greatest in your vehicles, then you definitely have some things to think about when considering this vehicle. We appreciate your comments, chocolatewheelchair. Thanks for watching!
