Did you guys like this type of old lore video?
Want to see more?
Do a vid on the groups of force users that original came from the tho yor and founded the je'daii order
yeah, this was great, good work as always
yea please great vid btw 🤙
LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you!!!
Sure did. Have you done a video on how hyperspace routes work?
Star wars has a consistent history of leaving all the best stuff out of the movies..
Well to be fair it would be hard as hell to live action or animate the mass battles of the past
@@joshuathinker8546 if they can do the avengers for a billion, I'm sure they can do the same for star wars.
@@bbabins45 would you want the kotor story ruined by Disney tho 😬
I would just love to see an old republic movie
I know what u mean, although ..It was refreshing to see Obi wan, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Darth Mauls battles after the excitement-lacking duels in the originals, then we got Anakin, Obi wan, Count Dooku then Yoda’s 1st on the Big screen which was insane at the time.. there’s were good.. and of course Ep.3’s so they took a big step up in the prequels.. I honestly thought Kylo-Ren and Reys was boring in the force awakens ?? Really basic styles like the original Vader/Obi Wan.. they made them way cooler looking in the next 2 movies tho.. we all agree that seeing Ahsoka and Luke was amazing so hopefully Disney gives us some big duels with the High Republic stuff they’re doing . I’m pumped
This is really the kind of direction they should be going, a whole new trilogy about the early, first Jed'ai, like make it really mystical and philosophical.
I want to see a star wars movie with ancient temples and whatnot
@@kriegatron2763 Yes would be awesome, make them look HUGE and like, they are impossible to construct, like built through rock or something. As if constructed using echoes and like a force-bubble, holding the structure in place, floating in the air or something.
It could be seen as ancient but still technologically advanced or something.
I would love that, but their marketing means it has to make sense to a five year old so,…😳
@@waltsears Well i mean with CW, Rebels and now Bad Batch yes that is very much their style, but i've always found The Mandalorian got the balance just right, it appealed to both and had some little dark moments in there too.
Ofcourse it's "Disney" so they will always want to keep that "Family" image. But hopefully they will allow much more creativity with these other directors they're working with, like Deborah Chow on her kenobi series, and Taika Whaititi.
@@RaikenXion well that’s because Jon Favreau made Mandalorian, of course it would be good; he is the baseline between kid friendly and beautiful storytelling; children can get into it easily yet fans can appreciate it greatly
The Je'Daii used both light and dark sides of the Force, and considered straying from this balance to be an aberration. They were closely linked with their planet, Tython, which itself was in constant conflict. I feel like you really skimmed over this aspect. The original Force users were never Light centric, and would consider modern Jedi to have completely failed in moderating themselves.
Where can i find this kind of knowledge

I was expecting him to talk to about the Jedai which were users of both the dark and light side of the force. They technically have everything in balance, and if a person was lean to much toward one side they would send to one of of the two moons which represent light and dark. And how people that were leaning to much to the dark side wanted more power therefore causing a civil war between light and dark.

😅 I loved this!
I wish he talked about the Je’daii, who were the predecessors to the Jedi. They balanced the dark and the light side, similar to the Dai Bendu or the Grey Jedi.
Yes, he spoke of Ashla, but not of Bogen. The Dai Bendu were the true predecessors, as well as many other groups of ancient Force Sensitives, to the Jedi. And he got his order seemingly reversed. First the groups arrived on Tython, and THEN came the Infinite Empire. Before, the earliest Jedi studied both Dark and Light, Ashla and Bogen...after the two MOONS of Tython. It was after the Empire's war that the early Jedi purged the Darkside from their teachings, believing those who used it in the war went too far. They did it out of FEAR. This led to the First Great Schism, and thus the Dark Jedi were exiled, and would later become the first Lords of the Sith. Theory tried, but I guess he never read the comics, and this this was incomplete.
I thought that too, but is jedaii history only canon, only legends, or part of both?
No no power unlimited power the great and noble people of Scotland were the first and only force minded people before the Jedi .
I'm personally glad he didn't, actually. The Dawn of the Jedi storyline was a convoluted mess, in my opinion. It added needless aspects to the Jedi's history that somewhat contradicted other parts that came before it, all for the sake of adding credence to a misunderstanding of the nature and duality of the Force.
The Grey Jedi were not an organization unto themselves. The term "grey" was originally used to describe any member of the Jedi Order who were willing to disobey the High Council, or at least didn't conform to the typical Jedi standard. Members like Qui-Gon Jin, Plo Koon, and Quinlan Vos are notable examples of Grey Jedi, and it should be noted that Quinlan Vos is the only one of the three that I mentioned who actually dabbled in the dark side.
The light side and the dark side of the Force just don't mix, and any balance that is achieved, if it's even possible, would be temporary.
@@ishmeetsingh5672 Also, no. The Dawn of the Jedi storyline and the Je'daii Order are not a part of the canon continuity.
I convinced my wife to name our daughter Revyn before she knew where it was from.
They best make a Revan film and not ruin it.

I once convinced my husband to paint our house Kansas City Royals blue color.

Bjornarmar Nice name.
"Out of the dark came light". "In the beginning there was darkness" makes sense and could fit into the Jedi lore.
“YOUR New Empire...?!”
I really hope Darth Revan or Darth Bane are in the movie in some shape or form!!
Fx Neutral darth bane is officially canon, Darth Revan...... sort of
J C I know it’s just that i would like to see either in them in an old republic movie
Noah Putz same
ya same, Revan BETTER be in the movie or im not going to the theatre, if Revan isn't the maincharacter, im just downloading this movie for free
If Revan (the Jedi version or the Sith/Darth version, I don't care; I'd really like to see both, like covering his transition from light to dark and back) isn't in the movie(s), then we riot! Lol.
Excellent summary. I would love to see a streaming tv series on the very first Jedi and have them take their time presenting a detailed visual presentation that lasted for a possible seven to ten seasons on the new Disney streaming service. I have no doubt it would be very popular and could be done with visual effects equal to those of the films. Filming a ten episode season at a time it would be like binge watching a Star Wars trilogy each season .
Would love to see an "Old Republic" movie, or even a movie predating the Old republic, set to the tumultuous time before the Republic.
The Je’dai practiced both light and dark sides of the force
That's what i thought too, but i can't remember where i got that info from. Dawn of the Jedi maybe? then eventually they split into two factions if my memory serves.
Yeah that’s what I remember
They believed in balance, and if you went to far to EITHER side you were sent to one of the moons to meditate and find their balance once more. it was not until much later (the first civil war) that they split and abandoned the dark
@@merrick1588 yeah! that was it.

Good job on this my dude. Your narrating and choice of words was absolutley perfect. Well done & thanks so much for the time you put into this.

Finally a legends video. I cannot wait for more SWTOR videos, the fact you made a reference to Tython made me happy, as Tython is my favorite planet.
A film about the old republic would be great
It was the "Peace, freedom, justice and security for My new Emp..." For me🤣🤣🤣
The gathering on Tythan actually happened before the defeat of the Infinite Empire, according to the Dawn of the Jedi comic series.
When you get carried away with lore, you start jumbling events and characters but God do I love it. Everything about Legends Lore is glorious. Disney sitting here take the lore and twisting it or incorporating it into Canon and passing it off as their own to the new generation. It spawns so much fury in my soul knowing that literally every generation after this one won't even really know what Legends Continuity was. I honestly feel their Canon is going to collapse and get so much hate that Jar Jar's hate was just a tease of true hate. And in the ashes of the Canon ashes will rise Legends 👀
"We're keepers of the peace, not soldiers."
Really hard to find good fans and people who provide good stry telling, canon and lore from star wars keep up what you are doing
Tell me why I’m vibing with this background music rn tho
Yesss cover the mandalorian Wars!
First Jedi: we better not be destroyed by a couple of bad guys
Palpatine: haha that’s funny
I have to argue on this one. According to the accounts I came across the Jed'aii were set apart from their descending incarnation because they meditated in the light AND dark sides of the force. When a force sensitive became too content in one side over the other, they would be sent to the opposing element moon (Ashla if they need light and Bogan if they need darkness).
What insighted the schism was apparently the influence of the infinite empire that drew users to the extreme of the darkness, forcing the remaining users to fall to the extreme of light as a reaction (which initiated the cycle that traps the star wars universe to this day).
I know that this is an old episode but, you helped to find the specific character concept i was looking for in my new DnD campaign. Thank you so much for All of your content> I hope your movie gets the attention deserved.

Wow, this was great! I'm not a die-hard Star Wars fan, but I certainly enjoy it and I played KOTOR on Xbox and enjoyed learning about that era. So it was even more fascinating learning about this even earlier era. Thanks!
Everyone knows the Jedi Order started in Tython. Achto is just Disney's fanfic name creatively inspired by Kathleen Kennedy's massive sneezing
Jedi order: we have no attachments. We love all
Student: but don't we need to be attachments to life to love?
Jedi order: ...the dark side has corrupted you.
Thus began the jedi civil war
I hope are kidding!
Jedi forbid attachment to single individuals. You can't have a love and respect for all life if you hold a single being above all of them. When you think like that, you become very selfish and self serving. You would happily sacrifice other to see that one being safe.
Think of Jedi like medical doctors, They care about your well being, and will do everything they can to help you, but they don't love you passionately. They would not be able to do their job if they did.
That's an entirely plausible scenario too lol. Jedi family relationships must have been some seriously distant affairs, in more than one era too.
The Sith aren't fond of love either. Not for the selfishness but the fact it may lead to mercy, the worst thing a sith could do.
Thanks for the message. May the force be with you.😌😁
One of the most enthralling aspects of the GoT series was the connection with the children of the forest, the night king and those ancient origin stories. I think it would be great if Star Wars included this type of plot in the next saga by talking about how the light brought about the dark, and vice versa
My wish for an Old Republic movie series is the Mandalorian Wars, and Revan
I would pay to see that in theaters, in a heart beat. Outside of references and flashbacks, I don't think that story has been told in detail
