@@radekjelonek6583 Ja, erfreulicherweise hat meine Familie die Flucht in einem Begleitboot der MS Gustloff überlebt und eine zweite Heimat gefunden... Allenstein als Heimat blieb aber unvergessen... Mein Papa kam erst 1951 aus russischer Kriegsgefangenschaft zurück... Mögen solche Zeiten nie wiederkommen 🙏
Ich bin begeistert ich habe dieses Video gefunden und spiel es immer wieder dazu die herrliche Musik die Bilder der Kleeberger Straße und das letzte Bild auf dem die Zündholzfabrik zu sehen ist in der ich geboren bin lange ist es her 1941. Ich habe lange gesucht bis ich das Video gefunden habe!

You are right.It's funny that you say that below a video which shows Allenstein/Olszstyn in Germany at that time. I agree, apart from the war and the ideologies this must have been a great time. Beatiful.
@thr eG I agree with you that Europe in a way lost it's identity! But I don't think one can just blame the americans. it's more complex thing than that. But yes it does certainly have to do with materialism and loss of culture, some of which is indeed an american phenomenon. But we would be too easy on ourselves if we didn't also acknowledge that a lot of damage was self-inflicted particularly through loss of social cohesion through liberalizing everything.

Yes but not at 1:06 because at the time it was apparently called Adolf-Hitler-Platz so it was after the Machtergreifung of the Nazis.
