This video would’ve been so great if it had pictures in it for people like myself all of these diagnosis that involve the memory glands and ducts… does this happen to people who are breast-feeding or shortly after breast-feeding for example, my son is eight years old. I stopped breast-feeding when he was around 10 months old I have symptoms and I have fears of IBC . I have a very large irregular, hard lump and over the span of the last three days. I had a spot that has turned into something that looks like an infection on the skin that seem to have come from under the skin to the surface of the skin

I was just diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Mastitis... it’s terrible. It’s interesting though, there isn’t a lot of information about it. I just want it to end 😞

Get a biopsy as soon as you can. I just got out of the hospital for the second time in the past month. Because it took so long to diagnose. It became infected then septic. I pray that you don’t have this it’s really terrible. Just get it checked out as soon as you can love.

Im moving fast. I have an appt on Tuesday with a new doctor. I hope he can get me in for the biopsy soon....

Fabiola Martinez That’s great, I honestly pray it’s not this. I’m really considering a mastectomy. I have drains in my breast right now, I had what they call an I&D this past Wednesday and I feel great honestly minus the pain from the surgery. It’s just the fact that it can come back and I’ll have to do this again scares me. It’s just no way to live. Not to me anyway.

Can you relate any of these conditions to post breast reduction surgery? My wife found a large mass, found to be 2cm x 1cm in size along the medial incision scar from her reduction 9 years ago. Of course we feared cancer and followed up with a mammogram, ultrasound and ultimately suction biopsy. The biopsy revealed it is a inflammatory mass likely secondary to implants, which she doesn’t have and never has. So my question is, can her prior surgery prompt any of these reactions? Also, and this is a bit personal, can sexual activity lead to mastitis? Thanks for your video as it spurred much consideration on our part. Hope you feel comfortable giving some solicited advice. Please understand that I am a paramedic and completely understand that anything you provide isn’t to be construed as a diagnosis or professional advice. We’re just looking for direction in treating the inflammation before becoming too invasive such as surgery to remove the mass that may resolve on its own of only needs drained. Thanks again!
