  • Bruce Tharpe Engineering (BTE) of Rogue River, Oregon manufactures the Flyin' King kit. This Flyin' King was converted to electric power using the conversion kit available from BTE. The model spans 81 inches, weighs 10 pounds, and has operational flaps. Video was taken by Bruce's son Brandon at Agate Skyways, home of the Medford Rogue Eagles.

    I am tempted now that you have an electric conversion for the kit. Just need to figure out what goes so this can come in 🙂

    I got kit #88 many moons ago and it's still flying. A thief got into my shop and damaged the covering on the outboard wing panels so i have to recover them. They also destroyed several others and stole 1 complete plane and some radio gear.

    Oregon sometimes has the nicest flying! The Carl Henson Field is where I fly out of.
