Just what we were looking for, quite why there isnt one of the usual access points on the front of the machine I dont know. Hoping the removal of the debris found in the various parts of the pump will help improve performance and odour. Appreciate you taking the time to create and post this video!👍

I can confirm that following the removal and cleaning of the pump/filter the machine is now operating better and more importantly washing smells as it should! Thanks again for taking the time to post this video

Brilliant - THANK YOU, DUNCAN! I showed my husband your video and he has repaired our washing machine. He has said he could not have done this without your very informative video. Also, I had got used to washing machine sounding like a Chinook helicopter taking off in my kitchen - this clear of pump has solved that problem too (loads of muck, x 3 coins and some weird plastic clip?). Thank you, again, for sharing 😁

Thanks mate very handy video. Opened mine found 5p in the pump and 2 underwrite bra wires in the flap rubber filter. Works perfectly now cheers!

How did the 5p IN the pump? You mean it was attached to the pump?

Cheers for this, worked on our Lindo 100, there was no blockage or items, but worked afterwards. I took it apart leaving the terminals connected, keeping it all dry. Made sure to turn the motor to make sure it wasn't stuck.

I have also Lindo 100 and it doesn’t pump either. How do you put the washing machine on its side without damaging it? I’ve run wet/dry vacuum cleaner inside the drum already, does it mean it’s dry now?

@@smurfiennes I layed it down onto a pile of towels. I ended up needing a new pump which I fitted, but then the machine had a burning smell which was the drum rubbing against the door seal and it looked like the spider was broken which seemed like too much to fix. We scrapped it and bought a new machine. It was 4 and a half years old so not great.

    • @smurfiennes
      @smurfiennes Рік тому

@@johnwhit9471 the spider was broken because the machine lied too long horizontally? I laid mine on about 60° angle yesterday, took out the pump and checked the filter. and noticed that the thick rubber looked twisted due to its position. So, I put everything back and would try it to run the machine again today 🤞. If it’s still not working, my friend will help me check the pump. Thank you very much for the quick response.

@@johnwhit9471my problem has been solved. The drain hose was somehow ‘fallen’ too deep into the drainage system after several years. It had created a vaccum and the washing machine stopped pumping water out.

Thanks to this video, I was able to disconnect and check the pump when my Lindo stopped pumping and spinning. Although the pump on mine turned out to be totally clean, still I feel this is a very useful video. I also would like to share how I managed to keep the pump on mine really clean for the 2 1/2 years I owned that machine. (1): I use less than the recommended amount of washing powder. If needed, I soak the laundry first in hot water w/ some soap or soda. (2): I often use kitchen soda instead of washing powder, esp. for dishcloths, cleaning rags etc. Kitchen soda works really well for removing grease and soap, so it cleans the washing machine too. ( 3 ) Instead of fabric softener, I always used cleaning vinegar. Vinegar immediately neutralizes soda and also it removes scaling in the machine.
Also, a few notes on the Lindo300: there's only one thing I regret about this wretched thing and that is, I should've got rid of it way sooner. It truly was the most annoying washing machine I ever owned. Firstly, the lack of filter is just bad. Secondly, it didn't clean the laundry unless run on extended program. Thirdly, it is known to be bad at rinsing. So if I wanted to get the laundry properly clean, I had to run it on long program PLUS about 3 or 4 rinsing cycles, which takes up about 4 or 5 hours for 1 load, and even then, it wasn't properly rinsed. I've even experimented with adding 1 or 2 extra gallons of water to the rinsing cycles and this does help, BUT it will literally ruin your laundry. Fabric wears much quicker this way. So 2 1/2 years after I bought this machine, warranty had run out and then it broke ( I've heard that faults in these new machines often start occurring "coincidentally" after warranty has run out ).
Once it broke, I went to a second hand store and there I saw an old Miele for as little as £ 29,55 ( € 35 ). I bought it, just to see if it would work. Turns out this Miele works better than that Zanussi ever did. It's a strong, sturdy work horse and a good machine for its years. I like these charming old machines and I hope this one will hold up for a while.

Great video - thanks. My Lindo 300 was smelling of burning and had a bit of smoke coming out of the drum. Tried your method and there was a 1p coin in it. Cleared that out and all working well.
    Thanks!

Just fixed mine for the second time, first used this video to check the pump and replace it. This time, noticed it had E20 again, but this time I spotted a clock of hair in the plastic bit attached to the pump. Like something the cat would throw up, a very solid clump of hair of like a cubic centimeter. Hopefully that fixes the problem, as I noticed the pump error, but the pump clearly working.

Hi, just opened our lindo xxl 300 8kg up due to intermittent screeching sound and couldn’t find the water pump at all! Didn’t look anything like the inside of this one. It is a condenser dryer though- seemed like everything was sealed into the grey plastic base plate so couldn’t get at the water pump. Any advice or suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

Again problem with my Lindo 100. This time won’t drain at all and keep on turning till ‘12 minutes’. Water level is so high that the door can’t be opened. I’ve found a tutorial how to reset it to E00, and found out the problem was E21. Eventhough it has been reset, it still won’t drain and now it doesn’t even turn at all. Please help

My Lindo 100 keeps on washing/spinning, but the wash was still wet and water was still in the drum. There’s no error indication, it’s just not pumping out the water. I took out the pump exactly as your video shows. Everything seems clean enough, does it mean my pump is broken? Do you have any idea how to check it?

Update: problem solved. Got a E20 signal as well. It was the drain hose which was ‘fallen’ (after 5-6 years?) too deep into the drainage system. It somehow had created a vaccum and the washing machine stopped pumping out water. Thank you very much for the tutorial 👍👍
