- Join us for a day of shredding up some proper winter gnar tracks. In this episode an excited Stu joins us with his brand new Santa Cruz Bullit and gives us first hand his thoughts on riding such a rare beast of a new ebike

Any unofficial trails we ride will not be named, we shall try and hide entrance and exit points if they are give-aways to the landowners or forestry and our Strava shall remain private. Tbh, when I rock up anywhere I can sense the looks I'm getting. It's a bucket list bike and a thing of beauty. Rides ok too.

Nice to see Stu Hughes, legend.....E bike takeover... Had mine 2.5 years now and love it.... Its fun up and gives me the confidence of what I used to have in my younger days when I rode Dh... So much fun!!!

Bring confidence because they're the same weight as our old DH bikes. Prefer doing DH runs on my ebike than the DH bike I have 🙈

Great video, ride there quite a bit but these trails look mad! Need to go exploring :) Always wondered how an ebike would fair on that ascent, how many times would you say you guys got up and down on a battery charge?

Regards the Bullit, would it still be a good bike for trails and at most say the first tracks you guys were riding ? Love the SC but don’t want to be on a bike that’s just not meant for the job .... 🤷♀️

Technical question... The bullit your man stu is riding has been sorted with an X2 instead of the standard RS deluxe which is stock. Given the stroke on the RS is officially at 62.5 per Santa Cruz, and the x2 comes in only 60 and 65 stroke length, which one is he using and how much rear travel is he actually rolling with? oh, and... I suppose it might be worth asking if he is rocking the pistachio fork in 170mm travel or 180mm???

And I had fox change the stroke to 62.5 💪🏻
@@PinnedTV custom sorted on the shock directly then... I would have thought the bike could maybe use between 5 and 7.5 mm less travel out back as is... or more if he were running the bigger fork, given the desire for big hit capability as stated... Looking at this unit myself, and was already thinking along the lines of upping the shock to an X2, so good to know it is doable...
Great video bud!! I don’t suppose you have any idea what year x2 rear shock is in that bullit? I want an x2 for my bullit but the 2021 doesn’t have the same size as stock available so interested to know what size is being ran in this with no issues?? Thanks

Tell the chap he’ll need to get it slightly adjusted by fox service centre to make it the correct Stroke... If I remember rightly it’s 230 x 62.5 that he needs to get it done to
@@PinnedTV thanks mate really appreciate the reply from Stu, yeah that’s correct that is the right size standard and closest I can find on the 2021 fox x2 is 2.5mm longer or shorter so I’ll either buy an older year as you can get 2020 model in the exact size or do what Stu said and send a newer model one to service centre thanks again 👍🏻

How do people afford these ebikes?
I bent over backwards and saved for eternity to afford my orange and that was 2500 second hand.
We are self employed and lucky enough to be in trades which have kept going during the virus
