Might be brand appeal and for me it's the wheels and front grill, I think Toyota makes their grill and wheels so hot meanwhile Suzuki has funny wheels and and an ugly front grill
Got myself the Suzuki GV GL. Nice family car with sufficient space. Downside is of course the lack of power on the long road/ hill. Nonetheless, happy with my choice.
I bought the Starlet cross XR auto when it released and Toyota upgraded me to a free 5year/ 90 000 service plan and a 5year warranty. Which is better than the Fronx and I was super happy with the deal I got.
This definitely makes more sense than the Urban Cruiser. But someone who wants to go top spec, should start considering Corolla Cross rather. Me? I'm on pension now, just me and my wife in a car, so the Starlet Hatch 1.5xi made the most sense. Same engine, less weight. Specs on xi all we need. And I got it brand new in July 2024 for R229k on special. Wonderful car and I fill her up once a month, lol.
Thanks for the review! Really like Suzuki's range of small cars. Just disappointing that the cheaper models have only two airbags, making them less safe. Looks like they're fixing it with new models though, as all of the new Swifts have got six airbags.
I feel alone when saying I love Joburg. I moved to cape town for 2 years and its was horrible I couldn’t adjust to it. But each to their own, its a lovely holiday destination. But i think what pisses me off the most is when people from Gauteng move to cape town and all of a sudden act like they fought a war there to claim some land in 1862, Ffs you came from Benoni.
Went with the Toyota GLX manual. Wanted the Fronx but couldn't get it anywhere in silver so took the Toyota. Must say I do like the front of the Toyota more.
As with the Fronx and the Starlet I was hoping that they spaced the clutch a little further away from the foot rest. The peddle layout is not ideal if your shoe size is over a size 10.
Let's just step back, who collaborated with who? So... it's a no brainer, SUZUKI is the "better" car = better offer and its "badge" is not inferior to TOYOTA.
I dont like the thing sticking out at the back, underneath the car. It looks like a nappy and spoil the whole look, why do they have to make it another colour as well?
Juliet surely you can agree that the engine should have been 85Kw like the Kia sonets. It would have been enough power and therefore no one would struggle 😅
The only thing letting this car down is the interior colour. That maroon looks disgusting. Why can't Toyota SA offer different colours or atleast change the maroon to grey or black?
People are so easily misleading by marketing. "Cross-Over", "compact SUV" instead of "bloated hatchback" . Call them hatchback nobody buys them, fit ""SUV" into the description somewhere and people buy them. People are strange Marketing works
These cars are way overpriced but they are called budget. 300k can get you a very good, powerful, spacious Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and a Honda CRV. Fantastic reliable vehicles.
@ “so little power its hazardous” at no point did I equate power to safety I simply said to have THAT little power is hazardous 🙄 Comprehension is rarer than rubies
Another cross-dresser from Suzuki. I'd buy the real thing and get a better deal. Izan at N1 City offers these with 10y/ 1 million km warranty, which Toyota cannot equal.
I don’t understand why people would go for the Toyota variants when the Suzuki is just sooo much better value for money 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Probably brand loyalty... Can only be that. :)
@ if they willing to pay more for less… LOL by all means… 🙈
Might be brand appeal and for me it's the wheels and front grill, I think Toyota makes their grill and wheels so hot meanwhile Suzuki has funny wheels and and an ugly front grill
You would be surprised, some people say this Suzuki is Faking Toyota... 😂😂😂😂
Looks better
I cannot believe that R300k is considered budget now!?
@@jasonyu-gi-oh1056 lol if the starlet cross is considered a budget car 😆 then what is the normal starlet considered ?
Check out the price of a entry level A3, A-class and 118i BMW😅
It's considered cheap😂 450k is considered budget.... it's absolutely ridiculous... car prices have lost the plot
Fronx all day everyday! Buy the Original, get better value for less. Brand snobbery is the only reason the Toyota replica will out sell the OG
But the Toyota doesnt
Extremely good value. Fronx is currently outselling the Starlet Cross.
Got myself the Suzuki GV GL. Nice family car with sufficient space. Downside is of course the lack of power on the long road/ hill. Nonetheless, happy with my choice.
We in the carribean, have the fronx 1.5, 5speed ml, 6speed autom, loove it😊
We don't get those here 😢

Trying to get rid of dead stock.

Will be interesting seeing a review of the new Magnite. Or a comparison between this and the new Magnite .. pls
Lol. 8:04 is so much Cape Town, with Karen's everywhere 😅😂

Love the car. But yeah, the maroon makes it a solid "skip"
I like this brand
Best value for money car out there(Suzuki ver).
Compliments of the season, please can you review the new Mahindra 3XO? Really impressed with it at the dealer and want to know your thoughts
Compliments of what season??
Early video release guess before the school drives is a good time😂
Let's just step back, who collaborated with who? So... it's a no brainer, SUZUKI is the "better" car = better offer and its "badge" is not inferior to TOYOTA.
👊
Can you do a review of the mahindra XUV 3XO, but the Ax5 not the upper spec
I dont like the thing sticking out at the back, underneath the car. It looks like a nappy and spoil the whole look, why do they have to make it another colour as well?
i agree that color on seats and interior ,please remove it!
Juliet surely you can agree that the engine should have been 85Kw like the Kia sonets. It would have been enough power and therefore no one would struggle 😅
Suzuki is proven reliable; those Koreans had too many recalls
They should have removed the heads-up display for 5 speed than the 4 speed
Cape Town and Gauteng comment killed me😆
Suzuki over Toyota for me, better value for money in every way.
Your way of speaking is very beautiful like you
Toyota badges are costly items.
Cnat move to cpt until i win the lotto because that is how expensive it is, especially houses...
Suzuki must adopt cvt like the swift the new one and tweak it and ditch this exhausting auto😮😢 hence I only do manual
Is it me or these new ZN number plates🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣BS.....
The only thing letting this car down is the interior colour. That maroon looks disgusting. Why can't Toyota SA offer different colours or atleast change the maroon to grey or black?
Its actually not that bad in real life. Could be better but not as bad as it looks in videos.
That looks like plum to me.Looks like hair salon decor.Terrible.
besides the four speed auto gearbox , the worst thing about the fronx , is the name
FRONtier eXtreme.
People are so easily misleading by marketing.

No it cant.Have you seen the latest prices?
What about the horrific traffic in cape town, worse than Joburg these days?
You may just be right. It is AWFUL!!!!!
It has been worse than anywhere in SA, in cars per hour, for fifty-odd years. Where were you all the time? 😊
4 speed auto 😮😮
That 4 speed auto in all the Suzukis / Toyotas just sucks at high way speeds I with they'd give it a 5th gear.
Depends the country and dealer, we in the carribean, have the fronx 1.5L, 5speed manl, 6speed automatic looove it😊
The top spec Kia sonet is like a 100k more expensive.
I was using Kia,but they have out priced themselves. So bought the Baleno GLX for less than a Picanto.
Cute but so little power its hazardous
Yes ironically the more powerful a car the safer it is.
@ “so little power its hazardous” at no point did I equate power to safety I simply said to have THAT little power is hazardous 🙄 Comprehension is rarer than rubies
@@cchris5958 There is nothing wrong with my "comprehension".I stand by what I said even if that is not what you meant.

I'd buy this before the Suzuki purely because "Fronx" is a ridiculous name for a car 😂😂
esti enervanta
Take a breath and please...stop with the insults.Shows bad character.
In DBN they only buy the Toyota 😅😅
The Indian population loves Toyota.
