- With Season 3 announced for February 16, I figured a speedrun showing you how to beat hell on a Sorceress all by yourself is a good way to start things off :)
This run is pretty casual from me, there's definitely a lot of time save but some things also went really well during this run, especially the hell leveling portion
I failed to split properly during this run, so some of them are a little scuffed

Ive played this game almost two decades ago, filling up the hard disk of the computer (no LoD) me and my brothers share each of us with our own character. No ive decided to download it on my switch for old time sake and have found myself on your videos. Just almost finished your paladin run. You're amazing. Will try my own "speedruns" not for the sake of setting records but just to pat myself on the back.

Im playing d2r for first time and i got stuck at Ancients on hell, didnt know you could cheese them like that, damn! Really good played overall.
GREAT CONTENT! I've been playing D2 since the original release. I've never thought of creating speed runs such as these.
A few questions I have:
Did you memorize the potential map layouts in key locations? That is the part I can see really ruining a lot of great runs.
Do you play on ladder when you do stash runs?
How did you get your stash run gear? I imagine buying on JSP would take a most of a ladder, and shopping had to be dreadful.

Often it just comes down to practice, build/stat optimization, appropriate gearing and also just understanding AI patterns and what they throw at you
I always enjoy your speed runs and the fact you set records and respond to chat is insane to me great work as always 😸
I don't know what the exact rules are to get such a world record, but bugging the ancients and skipping all the waves at Baal feels wrong somehow. 😕
Resetting the ancients isn’t a bug, it’s a legit tactic. Since they used to have impossible immunities for Sorcs back then so you were forced to play this way in order to be able to kill them.
Otherwise how do u kill lightning, cold and fire immune monsters as a sorc?!? And please don’t say with telekinesis or hitting with your weapon

Andariel normal, just casually putting in the stats after a respecc during a boss fight. Granted it's Andariel normal, but I would sure as hell, put in the stats BEFORE engaging her. Also why are there no Wc listed before you reach that point of the game? Surely there must be a WC of those phases.

Shift + left click, it looks a little bit laggy because I'm playing online and there's ping involved during the animation
Amazing run. Curious why 5 to static and what level do you start add towards hydra?
Around level 48-50 for Hydra, but could do it later (it's just to get past de seis and Madawc)
As for static, the range is just nice in some circumstances but you could just 1 point it for SC

I think I just thought of a minor optimization for the sorc speed running the end of act two, when you go into the place for the first time open your tp right away and tell through the palace/arcane sanc/ straight to duriel. Use the portal Tyreal opens for you then jump straight into your portal from inside the palace and you won’t have to run through town to the palace. Might save a couple seconds but if you do it 3 times it could add up and make it worth the optimization.

cant you play online and join your own game without being in the lobby for when you save quit or would that be taking a chance as in theres a slight chance someone could join your game? instead of having to type kano1/2/3 and on?

I was curious why don’t you use some kind of socketed shield and throw some diamonds in it for all resist? In the earlier levels.
Early game you have a decent chance to block even without dex investment. Having a shield and no fbr means you'll get stun locked by blocking animations.

nice run! i didn't know online solo speedruns existed as a category
they are the real ones lol.. single player keeping the same map when you make new game and instant loading screen etc. then you also have people who store gear and pots in stash tabs ahead of time which is also laughable. to me a true speed run is online only so you cant take advantage of bullshit, and with no gear to start out.
yeah, it's good they're a separate category now. i like watching speedruns in SP too, I don't see anything wrong in having fixed maps and you don't have ping there. But obviously it's ok for everyone to have different preferences. I don't like NG+ category that much either but I guess it can be fun sometimes to do something different
