Don’t know why but I always thought pork fillet was expensive, just checked online and Aldi’s is pretty inexpensive, will definitely have a go at making this, thanks hun x
I think the worse part of cooking from scratch is the prep everything, especially of veg. There's just the 2 of us so what l generally do is prep extra veg for the next day while I'm peeling and chopping for that night. I pop it all in a ziplok bag, in the fridge, and its all ready fir next day. I also cook all the veg in the same pan. I just layer them up: carrots, sprouts and cauli on the bottom, then broccoli on the top with frozen peas on top. I don't put too much water in and stick the lid on so it sort of steams. (Please don't suggest a steamer: l had one years ago, too much fannying around and take up too much rom in my cupboard!!) As much of a psin it is, l still love cooking everything from scratch. This looks lovely 😋
Hi, we make it with Chicken as pork can get a bit dry at times, and with smoked paprika and garlic, you can put any veg in really, carrots, peas and even broccoli and top it off with more fresh herbs, it’s a great dish, keep up the great vids and best wishes to you both..
Looks lovely!!! I would have put more rice in that, plus salt. (I like seasoning) I would have frozen half for two separate meals. Looks fab though and a lovely meal xx
If you line up your asparagus like soldiers you can slice the tips with one cut. Love this recipe. I have to admire you cooking. Think I would've just had fish n chips! ❤
I have one of those pans stored I my cupboard somewhere you have made me want to get it out and use it I have never seen asparagus prepared like this I will give it a go
My goodness Amanda, you have long, heavy days, wish I had your stamina xx BTW, I'm always looking for different ways of using spices for pork , thank you ❤
@@thedinnerlady9180 Awesome, I can share the recipe but it basically pork gyros in a pitta bread maybe with salad but there are certain things in it too like garlic and onion I think. I check, it uses pork tenderloin like this one did, x
Kashmiri is 'super mild' chili powder 😀 I don't understand why pork fillet is so cheap, yet beef fillet is so expensive.....? It looked like another great meal. Just a little tip, I was told, is when you put powdered spices in a pan, give the 30 seconds stirring to 'wake them up' rather than adding the stock straight away.
A bit posh for Waalsend wallahs like, yus normally eat ya yung ower there....🤣 Seriously that looks fantastic, going to use your recipe but substitute lamb for the pork, It's what I prefer, cheers from Coonty Duram...
That's exactly the sort of thing I do a couple of times a week. Tell you what I had for a treat last week and I've got two portions in the freezer for a treat, pig cheek dhansak. Proper face from the butchers that I skinned and fettled at home. So soft you could get it through the gaps in your teeth, especially after a few hours on the simmer.
