- It's been a while since I have done a Q & A. In this video I take you on a tour of the picturesque city of #Grodno in Western #Belarus while answering the questions that I have received from everything to relationships including one on a certain Vladimir. There's also a special treat for you here too. Please keep the comments civil.

Love your vlogs! Never stop showing off this fantastic country
Thank you for showing the old church. Felt calm. Happy new year brother. All the best.
Watching right now! And a like for the video.
Coming for two weeks in November. 😁👍👍😁😁😁
Can't wait....
It's been a long time since February 2020.
Thanks for the information Niall. I will be around New Years.
Great video, Niall. I love Grodno😍
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Super interesting to be sure.
Great video again, history, stolovaya food review ( not the greatest in terms of food options) and Q&A
Cheers bro
You can also study Russian at the Technical university in Minsk which is far cheaper but is less flexible with exit visas
Cheers for the extra bit of info.

Very interesting.
Helpful Niall.

What i like about Brlarus u can eat natural organic food everyday and dont over pay for it
Very interesting!
you did useful . takl you later~)
Glad it was helpful!
What job do you do in Belerus Niall?? Was it easy to get a visa ??
I love how the little girl waves at your camera at 28:02 Maybe she’s a subscriber?🙂😄👍🏻
It's my dream to live in the Belarusian countryside. I was learning the Cyrillic alphabet and beginning to learn Russian language but with the current conflict, I am not sure how welcoming the people would be to an American
It's like paradise. You wouldn't know there's a problem in the World.
I've spent two months there this year. A month at a time and it was great. I had literally no problems. My advice is to just go and see for yourself.
People just have to be normal humans, Russian language command is a plus.
Belarus is a lovely country and the people are super nice. I fell in love with the place and I intend to go back and explore many new sights.
@sachahaywardblogs I'm really hoping to go, in the next year, Lord willing there's no major war
I have a question…Does that gorgeous girl still work at the Komarovsky Market tort counter?
PS…Thanks for the stolovaya footage
Hi Bro, thank you for the great content.... Do you know if Foreign Credit cards still working in Belarus to pay in shops/Restaurants and to withdraw Cash from ATM?
Yes they do but they charge commission.
Withdrawal from Paritet and Belarus banks are commission free, but BYN 500 a week. Western cards work 70 per cent for local payments. Bring cash.
Even if you don't agree with the government of the country doesn't mean you can't have a positive experience there. Many of the belorusians do not support this war and just want to be left in peace. Anyway, Grodno is as pretty as always. Also it's very interesting that you chose to have a meal in the local canteen and not in a cafe or a restaurant :)
Thank you so much for this video! - sincerely, a belarusian citizen and a new subscriber.
Canteens rock!
I asked this question ago, but maybe the answer has changed. So, again: Do you, as an Irishman (or someone from Germany or Italy) with a legal status in Belarus still need a Visa to visit the Russian Federation?
Yes I do need a Russian visa. They still haven't harmonised the visas between the two countries.
As a result of recent negotiations, Russia has introduced border control, which did not exist before :)
@@yauhenm.8185 Which actually is a plus if you're a tourist and want to travel on to Russia and fly back home from there. You can get your exit and entry stamps.
@@cehaem2 Negative, because it's not border check points. And you don't get stamped out of Belarus.
22:31 I would choose this option...😃
Thank you! So, if i want to go to Minsk, for at least 30 days, from Vilnius via bus, I need to apply for a visa at the local Belarussian embassy, right?
Yes, correct.
@@IrishPartizan thank you!
Belarus is definitely underrated among other touristic destinations. The stereotypes weighs in heavily here.
"The last dictator of Europe", the military aggression in Ukraine by Russia and Belarus' role in all this etc scare Westerners from visiting the country.
Apart from those, Belarus is a nice, quiet place, fully packed with history and pastoral scenery. With low prices to boot.
Having been all over Europe and elsewhere, I miss Belarus.
Its sad beauty, hospitable people and stunning nature.
The ordinary Belarusian people are amazing. They are the most kind, down to Earth and phlegmatic people I have ever met. My allegiance is with them and them only.
@@IrishPartizan agree to a degree.
But one should live with the people longer than a couple days to see "the dark side of the moon".
Being kind, hospitable etc Belarusians are also cowardly and try to distance themselves from anything foreboding any personal harm and discomfort to them. Not involving.
,Моя хата с краю, ничего не знаю, - my house is away, I don't mingle in no gray"
That can be a pragmatic approach.
@@IrishPartizan it rather comes from their history.
And still this explanation doesn't make you love them. They will let you down any time you're in trouble.
@@garyweaver5512 That hasn't been my experience.
You are incredibly interesting person. I wanted to chat with an Irishman live. At the and of the twentieth I will be in Minsk, I want to take your autograph.
Love the old east European canteens and food. Just bought some sliced beetroot ‘on the back’ of your video.
Don’t think I’ve ever eaten ‘buckwheat’ though. Must try some one day.
More Food o'clocks coming up.
Like the history there Partizan
Advice needed I'm going Czech in November I wana cross into Poland and solvakia. Zlin Czech my start area.cheers

I think you had to be more clear about your “situation” how did u come to belarus, why belarus, what job you have and how u can live there with such a low salary, honestly i would prefer to live in ireland.
It's interesting that the museum has the word "Museum" in the lawn written in the Roman alphabet.
Латиница была в грамматике страны в прежние времена... Наравне с кириллицей
Grodno is a pretty city, ain't many people about though!. Damn that university canteen food looks grim.
Most people have to go to work on Monday.
Is there any irish pubs in minsk?
Yes there are. Klever Pub
And to be in the safe side, make your will beforhande, since you never know if you'll see yourfamily ever again...
Oh, please, one may travel to the USA like this - one-way...
Отлично все изложено. Не понятно только зачем искать бабушку (вариант 4 b) 😄
I'd like to visit Belarus with the visa free program for Brest, that means I would enter through the Polish border. I have read about that the eu is not allowing bringing euro or any eu currency to Belarus. Do you know anything about that? Is this applying just for investments or even to tourists?
I have travelled from Belarus to the EU and back again and nobody said anything about the euros that I was carrying. Best time to come is from May onwards.
EUR cash limitation by LT isn't a practical law. It's Brest AND Grodno visa-free program for 15 days. LT entry works, too.
✋✋✋✋👍
What kind of equipment are you using to film?
GoPro camera.
@@IrishPartizan Cheers, good quality! Btw. I like your attitude in that particular video
As a Yankee, do I have to apply for a visa or is it still visa free for Americans via minsk airport arrival ?
US citizens have to apply for a visa at the Belarusian Embassy in the US. All the information is here - usa.mfa.gov.by/en/usa/visa/
Thank you!

Hey man what about Canadian citizens can I fly in to minsk via Istanbul and get my 30 day visa upon arrival?

i asked you this question before twice actually . hopefully this time you will give me an answer? im 64 and im irish with a degree . would i be able to get a job as an english teacher in belarus? or am i passed the age limit??
What qualifucations do you have? Do you have any teaching qualifications or experience?
@@IrishPartizan No just a Degree in Tourism and a TEFL certificate
@@noelfogarty1025 you will need a CELTA at least and the age factor would probably count against you.
@@IrishPartizan Ok thank you
@@IrishPartizan which is a pity because i was hoping to give it one last blast at travelling abroad and experience other countries before i get too old. dont get me wrong i love ireland its a beautiful country but it has gone very expensive to live here. i just still have this travelling bug. itchy feet so to speak..which is why i went back to education at the age of 59 to study for a degree in tourism and event management . because thats my background. i then did this TEFL course . because i wanted to use it and my degree as a passport to see the world. and make a living as a teacher. but i guess it was all a waste of time . its sad that age is so discrimated against. just because your a certain age in life you are considered worthless.. anyway thank you for your honesty ... i will try to find another way to travel the world before i leave this world
Ha, ha. With the answer to your 2nd question, you challenged destiny. Let's see how fast this boomerang will come back to you in a form of an Amor's arrow 😁😉
2:45 At least one of my great grandparents was from Grodno, and my grandfather was from Mir. They left long before WW2 though. But any indirect relatives who remained weren't so lucky. 9:19 I respect that answer. So you believe in revolution from above by a vanguard of the oppressed I surmise. Actually the original 1917 revolution could have been a success in democracy, equality, etc. But the Bolshis just had too many issues...and then came Uncle Joe
Lenin destroyed soviets - councils - as soon as 1919. So, yeah. That was the end of dreams.
Stolovaya place to eat.
Hopefully the airlines wont be rippin the hole out it on the IST-MSQ route.
What d you mean? Is it expensive?
@@nazariooodelima8055 if its the only route in from the West then the few airlines that operate that route can get naughty with their prices.
Just wondering, but where are all the people?
At work.
Hi - I cannot for the life of me find flights to belarus - noen available from Istanbul - also can you work on a student visa in Belarus? - Thomas, Liverpool
Have you tried Belavia? And no, you can't work on a student visa.
@@IrishPartizan for purchasing a home is it those over 250k qnd is tbat in cash or including mortgages?
@@tjc89 You can purchase a property for €10k as long as it's livable. However properties in Minsk will be much more expensive. You need to buy the property outright, cash up front. Then you can apply for temporary residency.
@@IrishPartizan just a humble civil servant bud so not got much money/savings so was just curious but thanks for answering my questions+ currently learning Russian right now don't know if you have any advice on that?
@@tjc89 Then you should work harder) And Russian films may have with learning.
Are you allowed to mention Ukraine war or do Belarus have same laws as Russia? Thanks
If you had watched my livestream last night, you would have heard my views on the matter. Have a nice day.
One is not disallowed to mention this subject, but a lot of regulations in Belarus are unwritten. A lot of kind suggestions by the government are rather firm.
Strange retoric question in these time
If this were in UK, it would be empty, all those icons etc would have been nicked years ago!!
If that happens in Belarus ,You get "Dissapeared " Argentina style.
You said you liked Lenin. Are you a communist?
I have a sneaking regard for Comrade Lenin and the USSR just like my old mate Mr. Bald ;)
Hi Partizan. Thanks for your genuine channel. This plastic shit of Johnny.FD is unbearable.
Agree. Platforming actual Nazis isn't my thing.
4 questions in 20 mins and not even a shag review Niall 😂 you need to let us know about your escapades on the road
Belarus government jails people of opposition parties for years without due or fair process. Why would I want to come to Belarus and have a holiday like nothing is wrong?
Would you go for a holiday in Turkey, Israel, UAE, US, Qatar or Spain?
@@IrishPartizan Whataboutism or whataboutery (as in "what about…?") denotes in a pejorative sense a procedure in which a critical question or argument is not answered or discussed, but retorted with a critical counter-question which expresses a counter-accusation.
Please research Cestui Que Vi Trust, Roman Canon Law 2055, 2056 & 2057.
Your statement can apply to numerous countries and 'persons or citizens'.
The Philippines currently 'no adult' can leave or enter unless jab, no exemptions...
Henk STFU....we don't want you here. Don't come, we are more than happy without you.......you are not important to anyone....stay in your nazi E.U. where they jail real journalists who don't tow the line, where they arrest people for a FB post, where they have self elected beaurecrat's that weren't even voted in by their constituents, where they let drag queens teach their kids, where they flood your place with immigrants against the wishes of the public, where they teach fake racism, fake equality and fake critical race theory. You are so progressive.......jog on fool and watch something else if this doesn't tickle your fancy.....
What do you consider the standard of a fair trial? Such a trial as Assange had? Why do you think that the representatives of the opposition were innocent because they told you so? :)
Here are the 5 things: 1) White Caucasian: do not bother to come to Belarus or any Eastern European country if you are not White preferably Western person. Coloured, Asians, most Black people will feel like fish out of water as these countries are still rooted in White European societies 2) Have no erectile dysfunction: with plenty of young lass looking for a way out, there is plenty of adventure to be had - total spoiler if you can't rise to the occasion! 3) Apolitical: do not get involved in any form of politics, political comments or expression 4) Capable of learning and speaking the local language. males treat foreigners, white or not with suspicion 5) Keep the EXIT route easily accessible - able to escape on a very short notice.
I have a feeling that with the oncoming winter in the West, i'll have a lot more requests from subscribers looking to go the opposite way 😉
@@IrishPartizan Hasn't aged well
@@jamesozzie Let me rephrase my previous statement, "I have received a lot of requests from people looking to go the opposite way".
I unsubscribed when I saw the patreon begging post that's the end of this guy!
Belarus government supports Putin aggression government with unjustified aggressive war against Ukraine and its people and kill dozens of innocent civilians every day. The biggest war on the European continent since WW2 and Yugoslavia and he acts likes nothing is wrong
Ok Karen. Please don’t come back.
Aw naw, the channel is surely fvcked now! You SoB tommy, why the hell did you do that!?! 😂
Terrible altogether that a content creator can't ask people to volunarily donate to the channel so that said content creator can use money to invest in new equipment to make the product better. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out. Gobshite.
Would you work for free?
Disappointing response. Too bad, you really act like nothing is wrong. whataboutism. Too bad, I thought you were on an higher level

Belarus is one of the safest countries in the world. I live here right now.
@@gomel47 yeah they’ve got some lovely beaches.
I know perfectly well what's going on. I have commented on the topics and even made videos and collaborations expressing my displeasure and criticism. What else do you want me to do? As for the 'whataboutism' charge, this is the deflection topic used by liberals when you call them out on their hypocrisy and doublestandards. Nowhere is perfect but the people in thse glasshouses need to stop throwing stones.
