I thought all flosstube was shopping at HL. Glad to hear there are some who feel the same way about it. I have never shopped there. I thought I was the only one who left out flag and church motifs on patterns. Thanks for sharing your new plants.
I thought I was the only one in the whole wide world who refuses to step inside a Hobby Lobby store. What really bothers me is the disconnect between crafters who want to make their own personal choices in life, but yet willingly hand over their hard-earned money to an organization who would deny them their choices if only they had the power to do so. Yet they try.
OMG!!! First time I’m seeing your floss tube. I think we are sisters from another Mr.! I resonate with so much of your life, right down to watching Loudermilk! So awesome! Can’t wait to follow your floss tube going forward. 🎉❤
I thought I was one of the few who will never shop at Hobby Lobby. I am surprised at the seeming disconnect from apparent strong women who are still willing to shop there. The faux patriotism is appalling. Thank you for expressing your views, I wish more floss tubers would ❤
Hang in there, Emily! We are kindred spirits - no Hobby Lobby, no religious verses, and no patriotic stitching. Good luck with the interviews and thank you for sharing!
I kit stuff up when I’m stressed. My partner keeps asking me why I can’t just eat my feelings like a normal person 😂. Love the fabric for Blackbird. It’s a very you choice.
It does my heart good to hear that you do not give money to Hobby Lobby, and also that you are not feeling patriotic, (but hope to someday). You are the only flosstuber (that I watch) that openly stands for your values. I kind of shake my head a little seeing so many happily parade their patriotic stuff, as if ignorant of what is happening in this country.
Emily, I firmly believe in no Hobby Lobby...good luck with your job interviews...my favorite question "where do you see yourself in 5 years?"...I made lots of decisions on their answers...lovely stitching...best wishes❤
I would do the same to avoid spending any money at hobby lobby. 😂 work will calm down eventually, but I’m sending you all the good thoughts and hopes that you can look forward to a vacation (or some sort of getaway/staycation) in the future to make it through this tough time. 💕 thanks, as always, for sharing your plants! I have very similar tastes to you, so it’s always exciting to see plants that I love be loved by someone else. I’ve been fighting mealies for MONTHS now, but I’m down to only one plant in quarantine and my beautiful Hoya pubicalyx was the canary in the coal mine for that infestation and probably saved my other plants by making it so obvious with its less dense foliage. I had never encountered them before! Will forever be grateful to my Hoya for that.
I hope work calms for you soon! You got this! I related so much. I eat when stressed. I can't be creative and will sit and watch mindless shows and scroll social media....and send my husband all the reels of all the animals. We have an original washer and dryer that I baby along and my husband watches Flosstube videos to fix. No ice maker on our fridge because I can just make my own ice. However, my husband got me a counter top ice maker and I love it....because I wouldn't have bought it because I can make my own. 😄 Ruth!! I bought it as soon as it came out and it has been kitted up. I want to start this so bad but nervous. I can't wait to join the SAL. This will be for my daughter who shares the name & was also my Grandmother's name. I'm so excited 🙌🏼 Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents with us!
There was so much in this Flosstube to unpack. (as I munch on my Walker’s shortbread cookies). HL, work exhaustion, the awesome Van Morrison conversion that I want to do someday. But I REALLY relate to the lack of time to just do mundane stuff. Like paying bills. I’m so scattered ATM, I was rummaging in my handbag at work yesterday to find my keys to lock up the building and in the depths I found my water bill. Which I totally forgot to pay. You are SO not alone right now. ❤ We’re gonna be OK…I think. 🤪
Just found your channel today and I freaking love everything about you. Going to get an Owalla from your page since I need a new water bottle anyway. Thanks for being a great person!
I have the same situation with craft stores, Hobby Lobby is the closest, within 2 miles. I drive past it and go to JoAnns or Michael’s every time. I also LOVE Anne Hughes too! Sorry life is stressful right now. Your Treetops is looking so beautiful 💚
In my house we call it the ick store, however occasionally I weaken and go in. I enjoy chatting with the clerks and looking at the stuff. I totally understand the "no time to breath" thing. Working fulltime is more like fulltime plus these days and you're always running. It's exhausting 😞, but good for those who decide to change it up 👍 It is always a joy to see a new video from you. Took me a week to get to it, but so worth the wait. Stay strong in the struggle, it is just a moment in time, a chaotic moment albert but just a moment 😊
Your plants are looking so pretty! Im sorry to hear that work is a bit challenging, but hopefully things get smoother soon! Love the chart, Ruth. She is so beautiful! Please take care. ❤️
Thinking of you and hope that you will be able to find the right people for your team soon so the workload can be distributed better. I love your projects, and hope you really enjoy Ruth. I'm trying to figure out when I want to start the Sophia Neal 1832, perhaps as a reward when I finish a piece I need to finish soon so I can FFO it and gift. Happy stitching!
Not stubborn. I've boycotted them for at least 10 years. No intention of ever darkening their doors. I would mail you DMC. Went to Michaels and Acorns and Threads for floss ladt week.
My husband and I love Resident Alien. It’s just so quirky and inappropriate that it makes us laugh. (And I do love the octopus!) I’m so lucky - 123Stitch is only 10 minutes from my home so no shipping fees! Very handy. Hope things calm down for you at work. Good luck with the employee search. That’s never an easy task.
I've been wanting to stitch Blackwater Hollow for centuries! Let's do it! I stand by your special Hobby Lobby math. 😂 This WILL pass!! I hope it does so soon! Didn't you get some things framed recently? (Sorry! I had to! 😂)
A stressed Emily also gets very sarcastic!!🤣I had to laugh when you took a sip of water and said let's stare at each other, lol. I'm stressed also over my job but I walk around with a thundercloud over me. Good luck with the interviews btw. You eat cookies, I eat ice cream. Hang in there💪🏽
If it makes you feel any better, we have a 42 year old refrigerator that had an ice maker once which broke and we just use old fashioned ice trays. My family members are appalled that it still works. On the otherhand, they have all replaced their refrigerators at least 3 times in the same time period because all the electronics in new fridges fizzle out after a few years. We also have an old top loader washer (which I prefer for my handknits) and we had it serviced recently and the guy said to keep fixing it and don't buy knew ones because they don't even have replacement parts for them if they brake. It makes me mad that we live in this kind of disposable culture where we replace instead of fixing. Our pumber also only owns older model appliances for similar reasons, don't get him started on the newer ovens with all the digital sh_t that keeps breaking down!
Hi Emily! I haven't watched any flosstube for months so firstly, I'm sorry to hear about the work stuff. You're right, it's hard and I'm glad to see you are doing some self care. Eyebrows are on point! We do have some CGT at work, let me know what you need
Hi great video. Funny thing set in my style of appliances . No ice makers ice trays , refig must have freezer on bottom not top. And let's not talk about how old gardening tools are 😂. Love your projects your such a good stitcher ❤
Sorry work life has been so stressful lately, especially with two people needing to be replaced. It is great to see you. Loved seeing your progress and upcoming plans, as well as plants! You have me intrigued with the Queenstown Sampler, Ruth. You mentioned choosing your fabric from stash, but I’m curious what count you plan to choose, the called for 32 ct (are there any blended threads?) or something else? Good luck with the interviews!

I love hobby lobby, but then I am religious and patriotic! I love your stash ! I will pray your stress goes away as your channel is amazing.
Hang in there, Emily! We are kindred spirits - no Hobby Lobby, no religious verses, and no patriotic stitching. Good luck with the interviews and thank you for sharing!
“Patriot, I can’t get there right now”. So perfect.
You're not the only one who has the same feelings about Hobby Lobby. I also feel the same way about patriotism right now.
I agree NO Hobby Lobby, never go there. Love Michael’s, great framers.

Alan Tudyk is an absolute genius in Resident Alien so happy they got renewed for season 4. Hope you get to destress soon.
I’m so happy that you will be stitching Sophia Neal’s sampler, Emily! 💕

Great new appropriate verse! I only go into the Lob if I’m in dire need of a DMC that Michaels is out of

It is not stubborn - it is principled. Well done! I loved their store but haven't been there since the religious interference started.
I can’t do Hobby Lobby! Refuse to enter their doors.
Paciencia Emily, ya verás como hay suerte y encuentras a la persona adecuada, cuidate y procura que el estrés no s te domine, fuerza y adelante❤
You need to take it a bit easier… breath…❤ get away no phone for 3 days:)
