What is actually amazing about this verse is... It isn't referring to God or the original creation. It's using that scripture as prophetic of what will happen.
If you keep reading through to Hebrews 2:5, you'll see that it's about Jesus and the "world to come" or New Earth (as described in Revelation).
It's referring to the same thing that Jesus said in John 14:1-3... Jesus preparing the place for us, is what Paul is talking about in Hebrews.

@@chucktowne I don't know why the author quoted more of the Psalm than just the part about making the world at the beginning...
I do know that in Hebrews 2:5, he said they were talking about the WORLD TO COME. That's clearly not the one I'm on right now.
Chapter 1 talks about God, Jesus, the angels... and "the foundation of the earth; and the heavens.
So it's pretty clear when the author says "For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak", that the ONLY reference to any world prior to that was the quote from Psalm 102.
Unless you can tell me what other world was spoken about, (other than the quote from Psalm 102), that the author would refer to as the world to come... I'm forced to believe that the only reference to any world, is in reference to the world to come. It makes no logical sense otherwise. It would be a worthless comment in Heb. 2:5 that has no context and doesn't fit in the context.
I appreciate you throwing in some defense of the trinity, but you're reaching too far.
Hebrews 1:8 is a quote from Psalm 45. In the Hebrew, it's elohim... which doesn't always refer to God. It also refers to angels, kings, Moses, etc... It simply means the mighty.
I'll just refer you to John 10:34-35 and Psalm 82.
If the author of Hebrews quoted a scripture that says Jesus has a God... and Jesus said he had a God (John 20:17)... I'll simply believe them, instead of trying to rationalize in my own mind of how they somehow didn't mean it...
I'd love to have the trinity debate with you, but I'm sure you'll be just like the rest. You won't try to explain why what I say is wrong or an incorrect interpretation... You'll just move on to the next trinity "proof" text.

Actually, on the quantum level there is an energy field that exists which supports everything. Protons, electrons, neutrons, and other quantum particles constantly arise out of this energy field and disappear back into it. The quantum particles that make up atoms are not solid, but bundles of energy. All these organized bundles of energy, atoms, we see as physical matter. God probably created the energy field first and out of it created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:2 says God hovered over the waters. The waters could be translated as sewage, and hovering is the same Hebrew word that describes a hen sitting on eggs until they hatch. In six days, God created life on earth and rested on the seventh. The deeper we dig into science, the more we realize how amazing our God is.

And most people (including many Christians) think this verse means blind faith without any evidence. But nothing could be farther from the truth: faith in things not yet experienced REQUIRES evidence of things that have already transpired. In other areas (science, business, sociology, etc. ) it is called extrapolation, and is utilized extensively. In everyday parlance, this is just expected or anticipated outcome if the past trend continues. For example, if the number of tourists to a particular city during the past 5 years were: 10 400; 11300; 12 200; 13 700; and 14 500; what is the anticipated number of tourists to this same city THIS year (based on the same world conditions)? Without doing a detailed statistical analysis, you can probably correctly guess about 15 400. Why? Based on the PAST trend. That is faith.
This point is made quite clear in the story of Jesus and the centurion with the very sick servant (Matt 8:5 - 13). Review for those who may have forgotten it: the centurion came to Jesus and asked Him to heal his very sick servant. Jesus agreed as said that He will go to his home and heal that servant. But the centurion said to Jesus that there was no need for Him to actually go to his home, and that all He had to do was just say the words because he (the centurion) knows from experience that he can command his soldiers to do things that they must obey. In a similar way, Jesus can just command the forces that exist to heal his servant. "Mat 8:10 And when Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." The point is that Jesus recognize and commended this Roman centurion for his faith in Him based on the soldier's experience. The end of the story? Jesus told the centurion to go his way as his servant was healed (and so he was) BASED ON THE CENTURION'S FAITH.

There is no question that there is an intelligent creator who's wisdom is unrivaled and vastly superior to humans. However, for the sake of accuracy we need to understand that "begining" is in a relative sense. Rev.3:14 calls Jesus the "first born of all creation" John 1:3 identifies him as the creator of all things. Also Job 38:7 clearly shows that angels were created prior to the creation of the earth. To the non-believers:
Physics says: every spontaneous chemical reaction goes in the direction of the greatest entropy.
Everything in our universe - left alone - goes towards the lowest energy state, to be as simple as possible.
The opposite, the complex, requires a directed energy input.
This is your proof God created us.

There are two main beliefs for how the universe exists.
      1. It was always here.
      2. It came into being.
Option 1 violates the Law of Causality.
Option 2 violates the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy.
The existence of the universe violate natural law. It can't exist naturally and therefore must have a supernatural origin.
That supernatural origin is God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt with a strong and mighty hand.

So “Prove that God exists" is a completely unrealistic question as it sets man as the measure and implies a self-sufficiency and self-creation which ignores all the givens which forged man and covered his nakedness, “How can i exist without God?” is the correct question.

Years ago there was a TV show called "The Mentalist" about a man who was just hyper observant and helped police solve crimes. In one of the episodes there was a kid who had suffered brain damage and claimed to directly communicate with God. This got a bunch of religious leaders upset and there was a murder to solve of a girl that supported evolution and was protesting the kid. (Typical cop show of the era.)
Anyway, the point is in the episode, which I only saw once over a decade ago there was a line that I still remember.
The Mentalist was speaking to the kid about God and Darwin. The kid was insisting that God was real and that he spoke to him. The Mentalist asked "So Darwin must make you upset?"
The kid replied with "Of course not. Darwin was helping God. He pulled back the curtain and showed us how God did it."

When I read Gen 1:1 I notice that it says "In the beginning" which begs the question which beginning? The beginning of everything or the beginning of life on Earth? The next part of the verse says God created the Heavens and the Earth which shows there is a separation between the two. God answered my question about which beginning. Every time we are away from God and come back to Him it is another beginning moment where He separates for us Heaven and Earth. He makes a distinction between the carnal and the spiritual. We get to start over again recognizing Him as Lord of all including both Heaven and Earth. Each new beginning He creates for us Heaven and Earth. When we are away from God it is Hell on Earth, He puts us back on track so we know we can access His forgiveness through Jesus and we can once again experience Heaven while bound to Earth.

Here is some food for thought. When we were in our Mother's womb we were being prepared for this life We were entering into a physical world.. Getting the things such as ears to hear and eyes to see our limbs, so and so forth.. The next life will be spiritual. So we need to prepare our spirit to align with the Creator's Spirit. Luke 1:17....The first word in Hebrew in Geneses Ch.1:1 is beraysheeth. If we drop the preposition be (which means in) we have raysheeth. This word has a duel meaning. It not only means beginning, but also means "firstfruits".. The MESSIAH as the wave sheath is the first of the firstfruits. No one can preceed Him. Then those who are worthy will be the "firstfruits" which always belomg to the ALMIGHTY. At the end of the age is the harvest. The angels will be dispatched to collect that harvest. So other than these things. As i see life, this is the purpose of this life...Pray that you may take part in the FIRST RESSURECTION. as oppossed to the second ressurection. Where people will die a second death... Those that take part in the 1st resurevction allow the word to judge them now, so as His bride, we have made ourselves ready by overcoming self and rejecting this present world...and what it offers...

This amazes me more. SO christ jesus was in God and with God and is GOD. It’s firstly important not to equate the planet earth with “the world.” We live *in* the world and *on* the earth. We don’t live *in* the earth (unless we’re gophers or earth worms) or *on* the world (unless we’re high-flying birds soaring somewhere above the stratosphere). This distinction is quite important.
Gen 1: 1 is essentially an introduction to the fact that God did create the physical universe, which is to say its expansion from a small, but quasi-infinitely dense, mass was indeed theistically guided to form the more-or-less stable orbital systems that now exist. The second law of thermodynamics otherwise shows that such a development could not possibly develop. Only a supernatural guiding hand could have achieved it.
Thus, while earth upon which we live is around six billion years old, the world - the current world - is, say, around 10,000 years old. It had been preceded by numerous eras and epochs, none of which are of much (or any) concern in the Scriptures.
Sometime prior to Adam, virtually (or literally) all land life on earth had become extinct, including humanoid creatures (like the Neanderthal) and various prehistoric beasts like the dinosaurs and flying reptiles. One probable explanation is that an asteroid (or comet) had slammed into the Yucatan Peninsula with devastating worldwide catastrophic effects.
Gen1: 2 is often partly mistranslated. The earth was not “formless and void,” but in chaos and decay (Hebrew “tohu” & “bohu”) - most likely from a cataclysm that had previously destroyed all land life on earth.
What followed was God’s intervention in putting it into order. The creation event was not ex-nihilo, but of the existing elements and substances of the already long-existent planet earth.
Day one: He clears away the cloud cover of particle debris, allowing sunlight to penetrate.
Day two: He creates the sky effect by means of an atmosphere of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon-dioxide and its refractive effect on sunlight.
Day three: He creates the fruit-bearing plants, which require CO2 for photosynthesis (so showing that these days could not have been long time periods, as some have suggested).
Day four: He sets (or resets) the orbital characteristics of the earth relative to the cosmos (and especially the moon) in order to determine the annual feast days (Lv 23). (The sun had already come into existence, as clearly indicated by the first-day events.)

I find it almost comical to read some of the theories of mortal, finite man as he attempts to explain the creation minus the infinite power, intelligence, and limitless scope of the Creator. And to assist them in their arrogance they employ never ending time based on one planet, orbiting one sun, rotating at a singular rate that differs from the countless other galaxies, star systems, solar systems, and possibly other universes. All the while scoffing at the simplicity of the
KJV. Sadly they've yet to experience the timeless touch of Christ through the Holy Spirit and the kiss of eternity that reveals more in a nano second than any human could learn in a lifetime. Godspeed pilgrims.

Before the creation of Heaven where was the God existing? What would be the place that God was existing?

Nothing about globes, spheres, or any universe either? Pillars, foundations, four corners, and a firmament . . . amazing truth

    Isaiah 66:1-2 KJV
Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? [2] For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Who or what "in the beginning" created the world, is it the Ones/Gods mentioned in the Old Testaments or the one Yeshua talked about?

The Hebrew word for God in that verse refers to the Trinity Father, Son (The Word see John 1), and the Holy Spirit. The God Yeshua talked is most likely the Father.

In the beginning (time) God (spirit) created (energy) the heavens (space) and the earth (matter)

An interesting and amazing factoid that will have you looking at great mountains differently: if the earth were shrunk to the size of a cue ball, it would be a thousand times smoother than any cue ball you have ever laid hands on.

I like the king james version which say " heaven not heavens"
On that first day He created the area we now call the universe which is completely different from heavens . Those were added on different days of creation on the 2nd day He created the atmosphere which surround earth. On the 4th day he made the stars and planets which with our atmosphere would be called what is the heavens. Remember the stars and planets are in the universe not the universe itself
