You're 100% right. I never measured PTV clearence and the advertised duration is 292 so I'm close to the limit to what I can run with flat top pistons on this engine.
Swapping to 1.6 rockers would get him around .512” lift as well as add valve speed off the seat. Stock iron heads don’t flow much past .520” lift. Duration is much more important than lift. Maybe a future episode with some cheap 1.6 speedmaster or 440 source rockers. Preferably after dialing it in, so we can see a difference with the 1.6’s
I've got a set of proform 1.6 rockers, basically the same thing. The only reason I havnt dropped them in was because I'm afraid of hitting a valve. The 361 had flat top pistons 10 in the hole with no valve reliefs. Once I verify PTV, I'll drop them in.
I had a 361 that was placed in a 75 charger did uknow if u bore the block 30+ 50 over it will except small block 400 chevy pistons i dont know where the conecting rods came from
Listen to that monster
Just a mild build. 300whp 😎

What bumper brackets do you have? Are they the heavy shock absorber type or the stamped steel ones for 73?
Mine looked like 2 C-Channels bolted together, no shock absober
@nightwrencherperformance Ahhhh a weight reduction mod I see
@@nightwrencherperformance yep. Ok. Thank you.
Thats a small lift for a big block.
