Personally I've never heard a better version of this no8 sonata in terms of tempo, energy, nuances, the sharply defined notes, the delicacy of the melody, the softness of the accompaniment. Someone has other recommendations?
listen to Cziffra, seems a bit bizarre since he didn't record a lot of Mozart but trust me it's one of the best i ever heard! Especially the 2nd movement ! (sorry for the mistakes in English...)
Why are there so few recordings of Martha playing Mozart? I have not heard an interpretation that matches the mastery of this one. I think it's the constant momentum she imposes on the piece - every phrase inevitably succeeds the previous and the control over the delicate melody is captivating.
Ha! I accidentally misread your opening sentence and thought you were asking 'Why are there so few recordings of Mozart playing Mozart?" I mean, it's a good question: we have Brahms and Rachmaninoff and others recording their work...
Crazy martha
I love martha
Wow!
I love the story from her childhood where she and little Barenboim would hide under a grand piano. Kinderszenen beauty.
thank youu !!
Allegro maestoso - 0:00
Andante cantabile con espressione - 5:00
Presto - 13:48
특히 3악장이 좋습니다 😊
Extraordinária interpretação, admirável técnica e senso rítmico!!!

Grande❤❤❤
아르헤리치의 연주에는 음악 외적인 것들은 사라지고 음악만이 오롯이 남는다. 내 음악을 포장하려 음악에 온갖 잡다한 생각을 엮던 나에게 반성의 시간을 부여한다.
