This performance is also a testament to teamwork - they are constantly looking at each other like the pros they are and enjoy every minute of the score. Mozart would be overjoyed by this masterful and touching performance.
I adore the looks each Maestro occasionally gives the other. Each smile. Each knowing nod. No words required, both communicating with their fingers and an unsurpassably intimate knowledge of their art.
Signora is by no means the female equivalent to maestro. In Italian you would say maestra, quite simply. But it would sound a little weird in English, so... Maestro, even more so with a man and a woman both earning the title in the same sentence.
"Come on. Give me something I can bite down on here." "Here. Bite into this. Well?" "Yes. Yes. Oh this could use a little..." "Salt. Of course. But not too much. The main course is a touch on the sweet side." "Oh? You know the wine you brought is simply divine." "I know. The things you can get at the drug store these days." The intimacy of the musical conversation between these two is wonderful.
