  • I have become more and more a fan of using landing nets after removing countless treble hooks from friends, guests and sometimes even myself. It isn't a fun thing to have to do on the water and can get complicated when trying to do it on your own. So, invest a little insurance policy for landing fish and for keep hooks out of your hand with a YakAttack Leverage Landing Net.

I agree! I use a net or fish grips the vast majority of the time. I don't care if it doesn't look as "cool" as liping a fish. I'd rather spend more time fishing than messing with a hook in my hand.

Thanks for the tip, man. I just bought my first kayak the other day from bass pro. I got the ascend H10. I’ve fished my whole life by I noticed that getting the fish from the water to the boat was a bitch. Bass not so much as pickerel.

I definitely like lip grips but I do think this net is a must-have. probably the best-engineered net on the market for kayakers without a doubt. AS always good stuff bro and Thanks for all you do for the sport. hey if you thank about it talk some about the depth finder you use and maybe a small how-to-use video would be great. thanks again. stay bowed up brother..

Something on Huminbird devices would be cool, not sure if you use those or not.

That video you caught that big fish at mossy oak property is hands down my favorite video you've ever done. I'm sure it's near and dear to you too cause that fish is mounted on your wall. You made getting that big girl in the boat look so easy. Would you say it takes practice to land big fish like that with a net? I suppose this would fall under the preparation part of the TOW factor. Very cool video and always educational and exciting. Thanks!

John Bolton thanks and yes it does. It actually doesn’t really take a lot of practice, because of the forearm grip it is very intuitive and easy

The yak net is OK but the front of mine floats so have to lift fish out of water into net. Needs a clip on the hinge so it locks.

I've been re-watching a lot of your videos and I had a question related to crankbaits and braid. Do you use braid still when you fish crankbaits? Braid w/ a longer leader?

What about fish grips for treble hooks if going netless?

can't go wrong with fish grips in my opinion

Corrosive Cookie they help holding the fish, but not really easier to land it with a fish grip. Lots of lost fish trying to get them on the jaw

They really help with avoiding trebles in the hand though :-)

    Chad,
I'm in total agreement I never use to take a net with me, and then you loose that #HawgZilla and the net in is the Yak from there after
