I wish I could Unleash my akita like this! He is super aggressive towards other dogs. Your akitas are wonderful by the way, they are such a beautiful family
That was cool watching the pup follow the adults up the ramp lol. I'm definitely going to get me one of those. Cool video, akitas are my favorite breed. I have a 4 month old male akita pup myself.
I just bought me one last year he just turned a year old last month I'm 33 years old no kids so it's just me and my girlfriend definitely get one he's a protector it look out for you and he doesn't bark a lot at all very gentle doll can be a little aggressive when it comes to other people but family got your back 100%
@@cognitivedissonance7362 Cool! I have one, his name is Jaylen. I had him when I left this comment. I was saying I wanted to get 1 of those ramps. Check out my channel I have videos of him. I know what you mean, Akitas are very protective. They are my favorite breed!
Is your akita a Japanese or American? Did you take your akita to a trainer or obedience school when it was a puppy? I'm thinking of getting one but have heard they can be difficult to train.
What do you have to say about the American Akita breed? I been watching UA-cam videos on dog breeds and don't find much info on the American Akita. When I move onto house I was leaning more towards getting two of the American Akitas .
Once the pups started eating solid food we fed Puppy Chow with salmon mixed in. At this point we were mixing left over puppy chow with Atta Boy. We get the cheapest dog food we can from Costco and supplement it with salmon carcasses we get from a local fish cannery.
Akitas have different personalities just like every breed. Our previous dogs were overtly friendly, however, partially because of the reputation, size and stature, when they encountered dogs that wanted to fight it was my dogs fault no mater what. Zen was friendly to other dogs when we got him at three years old, but has become aggressive. I think it is because they were attacked by aggressive neighbor dogs not long after we got him home, Sakura was just a pup and Zen was protective of her when other dogs got aggressive ( he didn't start the fight but finished it). After she had the pups, even though she beat him up when he got too close, he became even more protective. He has never hurt another dog, but has taken on as many as four at a time and let them know who the big dog was. We live in an area were we can take the dogs out to isolated spots to let them run off-leash. We are careful to stay away from where other people have their dogs. The pups haven't been socialized as much as they should have been. When they are not in a clear area we keep them tied up or in the house. We have been having a problem with bears here lately, The problem would go away pretty fast if we could leave the dogs loose. One problem bear decided to leave, he started to attack me and Hagi ran in, grabbed him by the nose and shook him, 85lb Akita vs 190lb bear - bear disappeared. So we give the dogs some latitude.
We got Zen as a rescue from a lady in Federal Way Washington who could no longer take care of him. We got Sakie as a pup from some people in Bellingham Washington. That litter was a one time deal. The sire of the pups belongs to a friend of the family who happened to get a male Akita pup about the same time we got Sakie. I believe they got him from a kennel in California, but I don't know where.
Take the bells of the collars that’s just abuse, imagine every time you walk all you here is a bell constant ringing, none of me pets have bells on their collars

My dog Boris is a little more than 25% Akita and I went "eeeee! 😄" watching this.
He's half pitbull but totally had an Akita face 💜
Camera guy huffing and puffing, but the dogs are the only ones running around.

Where do you get akita a cute Anita puppy from because I what one to as pet part my life?
I would like to know how the dog stay after childbirth.
These went to the new owners after 7 weeks, one went at 6 weeks. They are eating solid food then and starting to wean.
The one here is one we kept.
Any of your Akita's had a ACL tear or meniscus tear? My 15 month Akita has to get surgery on both legs.
Están muy bellos.
What type of food are you feeding the pup?

Love reading your Akita stories. Thats amazing with the bear incident. If u have more stories ..pls do tell!! 😁
Akita's are ettique enforcers for sure. Also fiercely protective of their family, human, dog, or cat. Doesn't matter if they consider you family.
where did you get yr adult akitas?

I couldn't let my akita walk thru all that rubbish and I'd also wait for him to cross the road ...I love him too much.
