VERY VERY USEFUL. THANKS for this clear explanation. I wondered if there was a way to copy a certain marker and paste it elsewhere? Like, from a timeline to a different timeline. Thanks
Thanks, is it posible to change the default colour? Also can you type whilst the clips are playing. Am a long term avid editor moving across for a job....!
When I click 'M' a marker is placed on the video and audio tracks themselves. Not up top by the playhead. This didn't always happen. Is there something I need to turn on or a toggle? Thanks!
What I do is press Esc or click anywhere on the timeline that isn't the video or audio track so it will make a Timeline marker instead of a video or audio clip marker.
Hello! I work with a lot of files, 300-400 files in a project... During the editing process, I put markers on certain files to make it easier for me when I make a teaser... question: is there any setting to let it show me only the clips that have markers? I put the markers directly on the files. Thx!
Thanks for writing in. Unfortunately, that feature is not available. You can use the color labels instead. You can select all the clips with the same color label at once. Here's a video that should help: adobe.ly/4b24SNI Feel free to reach out on Facebook or X (@AdobeCare) if you have any other questions. ^Nishu
Hi. I read your notes. Thanks for those. I am not seeing that behavior. You're on Windows, I presume? Which version of Premiere Pro are you using? You may want to reset preferences if the issue persists. Using the Reset Options dialog box is the easiest way to do that. Info: adobe.ly/47heDVX. I hope the info helps. Thx, ^KM
HI there, If you need any advice on that, come on down to the Forum & ask our experts about it. Let’s have a conversation here: [adobe.ly/3nVYR1m] ^Rohan
Thank you for your comment. Currently, applying a Marker to only the video track of a clip is not possible. You can create a feature request in the Ideas section of the Premiere Pro community so other users can show their support by upvoting your post. Here's the link: adobe.ly/3NLEIFw ^IY
@@AdobeVideo my problem is for an example that i can’t use marker in just the audio track it puts marker’s everywhere that playhead placed on in timeline up in video track , audio track i just need to apply only one marker it was normal for me i week ago now it bugged for me .
We understand this must be frustrating. Currently, there isn't a way in Premiere Pro to only mark the video track. We suggest creating a feature request to let the product team know about this. ^IY

Ctrl-shift A to deselect everything before adding the marker (why does Adobe have different shortcuts for every program?? 😩)
