An excellent divisional race is panned out in the future of these three teams. The surging Red Sox are gaining ground by the day, while the offense clicks on all fronts, with Devers becoming the hardest out in the American League, while Bradley and Leon show signs of life, Chavis breaks out of the short slump that immediately followed a torid run through the start of may and end of March. Sale has finally refilled the ace cup he had so unexpectedly spilled, Price, E-rod and Porcello have been mightily consistent, the pen has performed the same way the Rays offense has, Bogearts and Benintendi have been the expected solid run producers from the top of the lineup, Betts is performing, while not quite the MVP caliber he was a year ago, likely still a top 20 mlb player, Martinez has been barrelling balls all year. Indeed, even Vazquez has had a year no one expected, matching his career high with 5 homers. I expect the Rays to drop to third before summer ends, and for this race to last into the gorgeous red-leafed days of the fall.
