Hold the top of the iPhone over the little square and it will unlock immediately. (This is because the NFC transmitter is located at the top of the iPhone)
Trying to share the digital key with my wife's phone having trouble it keeps saying adding key the when I send the code says it's been deleted 🤬 Did you have any issues what's trying to share the key what's another phone
Question, how do you share the digital key. We added it today to my wife phone but keep getting an error when she tries to share it. Also do you know how to add the Apple Watch after, or do you have to delete key and reinstall?
For the life of me I couldn’t save the key to my wallet, it just hung up for ever, I was about to give up. I grabbed the phone off the charger but it slipped and fell back on it but not fully covering it. Immediately it started transferring the key to my wallet. Now everything works as expected as it should.
Unless it's a Tesla, I'd rather be using the key fob. At least it's an option. Thanks for the video. We're looking to get the calligraphy sometime next year.
You should know how to set it up before making an instructional video about how to "set up and troubleshoot" it, eh? 8 minutes into an 11 minute video and you're still wasting our time while you try to figure stuff out.
For both better security and better convenience: the digital carkey uses nfc (and ultrawideband on supported cars, but it seems not to be the case of this car, at least for what i know), which make almost impossible for the signal of the key to be jammed or intercepted (because nfc and uwb only work on very short distances). Moreover, it's really comfortable not to have to carry the keyfob everytime you get out of home. You can also share the key with others, without having to hand over the phisical key (so it can't be lost) and set limitations in how they can use the car (you can set a max speed or a max volume of the infotainment that can't be exceeded, in order to keep them more focused on the road). In cars where you can use the digital carkey with ultra wideband, you can even get in and start up the engine without taking the iphone out of your pocket or bag, the car opens as you walk up to it, and closes as you walk away. (sorry in advance for ipothetical mistakes, i'm not an english native speaker, but hope i'd been helpful to you :)

The same happened with us. Did you find a solution?
Such a cool feature. I can't wait for my Kia to be delivered so I can try it! Are you able to open the trunk using the smartphone key?
Does this work for 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited? I have iPhone iPhone 13 with the latest iOS 16

Hopefully my comment gets pinned by the UA-camr
I have an iPhone 14 pro and I don’t see the digital key option in the app
Me too
I don’t see option for digital key in the app..
which model and year do you have?
Same here. I have a 2024 calligraphy. The digital card option doesn’t show in my app. Using iOS 17
Same i came to this video to figure it out but idk what to do
Glad to see I'm not the only one. Instructions emailed from Hyundai said to follow the app... it is not in the app.
So does it take about 10 sec to unlock the door, from your experience?
After using for a few days, I got used the placing the phone in the correct area on the door handle.
It takes about 1-2 seconds.
@@CalebTrips I'm kind of surprised it doesn't just lock and unlock automatically as you get closer to the car.
Did your Apple Watch worked?

Can you drive without the keyfob, just the digital key?
Yes, you can drive without the physical key fob.
I have been using only my phone for the past week with no problem.
@@CalebTrips does it have to be on wireless charging all the time?
@@anaragayevafr2 no.
Only for starting the car.
Once the car is you can remove it.
What is the pairing code?
Are you not afraid of the Kia Boys?
The 23 models and newer come with a fix for that issue.

Can someone explain to me how this is better than carrying the key fob?
