I've been a Christian my entire life, but i've always felt a bit disconnected with the Church as an institution; when you talked about your relationship with God, it felt like hearing myself! So i thought that you might want to look into Quakerism: i'm now a Quaker and the relationship with God is, like you said, more "casual", defintely one to one, no intermediaries, no strict and, for some, outdated rules to follow... Discovering quakerism healed my conflicted relationship with religion and i felt like it was something that might resonate with you and that you may want to look into a little bit more. Really relate to this as I have chronic fatigue at times and anxiety and my fiance is so supportive! I have to stop feeling so guilty for having to cancel / change plans due to my physical or mental illness xx
