For anyone whos installing the headunit. When removing the center vent, DO NOT touch the dash with anything as its extremely fragile. Youre better off prying from inside the vent and breaking it than totaling your dash. If you have a 06-08 model with the old vent, youre gonna have to buy the facelift vent anyway.

I’m looking to order this head unit, what do you mean by facelift vent? Is it to get rid of the gap? If so where do I get one
@@siennasmith4537 you’ll have to separately purchase a 2009 central AC duct from used auto parts. Not very significant, but if you are picky about it, then go for it
@@siennasmith4537 yeah its to get rid of the gap since they designed the headunit for the facelift 2009+ models.

Quick question i just installed this but for some reason i cant seem to get audio from any of the usb ports and also looked everywhere for the apple car play and cant find it either, am i missing something?
@@Dxaiver08 ZLINK is the inbuilt app you’ll find for the CarPlay.
Regarding audio, you need to check your cables. Usb cables is only to read or access data, not AUX. You can use USB cables for dashcam or flash drive to play audio video.

Hi bro, my car has the big factory radio however, it uses fiber optic. Can this radio work with my car? My oem screen is with the button the same level as the frame

Great video. Quick question, your video name says it will fit an ISF, but when I got to the product link, there is an image showing the ISF radio with NAV as the type of car radio it can't fit. So are they wrong or are you? also, if it really can't fit do you know why?(the explanation on the product site isn't very clear)
@@MRwilsondraws the ISF 2008 and 2009 comes with the older model that should work, 2010 onwards I am not sure. Also I’m not an expert on this, my description is based on the supplier’s description.

So far so good, looks really good, leaves a very good impression on my friends when they are in the car. The ADAR and reverse camera are the best functionally. Hey Siri is very responsive too.
What’s your fix for the backup camera? I installed but the backup camera not working.

I really want to install this… but Im worried about whether or not the sound system quality and loudness is going to be impacted by this? Im really big on my music. Looks modern yesss… but Im for sound over the modern look! Its be great to know that the sound is not impacted?
Sound is better actually, you get an equalizer interference that gives you extended control on sound quality.

Hi mate! I bought and install a same unit like this, unfortunately, after that, I couldn't open the trunk of my is220d with the smart key button, the inner button (below the steering wheel) and the outside button (near the rear plate of the car). From that moment on I only can open the trunk with the manual key. Did the same happen to you or to anyone else around?! From aperil untill Now no electrician auto shop could fix this... :( Any help sugestions ?!
It has no connection with the head unit, there is a hidden button in the glove box, try that.

Doesnt mention if this is compatible with a factory headunit that has A/C Nav built in.. I know some are not compatible. Can anyone confirm?

I have a 2013 is350 with nav and ac and I ordered the same thing and the connections in the back don’t match. Some do plug into others but there no cord that connects to the “power” so the screen doesn’t work and stays black
You should return from wherever you purchased it 🤷🏻♂️

hey mate did you have to dremel out the plastic on the new unit? I saw a video of a 08 is and he needed to dremel out the new unit at the buttom to make it sit on top of the cd player
Yeah basically i retrofit the carplay screen on top of the cd player. Really easy though, its covered in the video

No dremel, its direct bolt on. I think i showed a time lapse in my tutorial, i should have slowed down i guess

I an 07 & have ML & I just installed an Android system… because the screen/system crapped out… gps & Bluetooth are fine… but the fans & ac don’t function (major issue)… also lost my backup cam … which supposedly the oem cam is supposed to work with after the digital setting is adjusted… it took me over 5 hours trying to carefully & cautiously do the swap… been too annoyed to deal with it for the past 5 days since I worked on it. Luckily don’t need ac as much as previous months. I read I might need to figure out how to get another included wire rigged in for the backup cam … but not sure why the fans / ac / climate control are nonfunctional. I’d honestly suggest going to a car stereo place and get a guarantee of full function install unless you love car projects that may take a lot of time & trial & error with a potential of ending in error. Seems like A lot of them have garbage instructions & no support(and every vid I have seen is a dif version of Android head unit😬) If there was no issue with your oem unit I wouldn’t f with it.

Regarding backup camera, in your REVERSE settings on the aftermarket android unit, select “Reversing system selection” to NTSC instead of AHD 720p.

Can someone help me? The radio station keeps playing while I'm playing music from my phone via blutooh.. You can hear both radio and music from my phone at the same time.
It happened with me too, check 10:45 in the video, i explained how to fix it.

@@buildfixcars I did exactly what you said exact same thing I moved that antenna from the original radio bottom to the android top and the little one I left it out. And I still hear the radio (frequency only) in the background..
I fixed it. I had to unplugged the left white and right red audio cable. That took the noise out of
Hey mate, got a 2006 sports luxury, finally got it installed but my a/c doesnt come up when i press the buttons and my stock reverse camera isnt working with the obd plugged in. Any ideas?
@MaleekSkermer yep, make sure you are connected with Wi-Fi on your device, then you have to go to the factory settings, enter code 8888 then go to SELECT MODEL, then select the following number options,
1- Canbox- select number 14
2 - Cars - select 38: LEXUS
3- models - select 01: Lexus IS
4- select low config
5- logo select default
For the reverse camera, connect the yellow female plug and short the camera red wire with the radio POWER Brown wire
@buildfixcars any other codes it could be? I've tried 888 and 1234 and nothing comes up (figured it out was 8888)

Also, the extended options password is 123456 if you want to explore other settings to configure

@@MaleekSkermer oh actually, you can also change your orientation from left-hand drive to right hand Drive, there is an option in the settings somewhere, I forgot, I remember seeing it somewhere
