After watching today's episode I now understand Marc's reluctance in cutting down a beautiful tree, and agree with him whole-heartedly. I love your wonky trees!

The idea of using two trees together is really inventive.
A tip. When there are gaps in the branches, just hang decorations with varying lengths of string from the branches to give the illusion of a fuller tree. xx lovely tree xx

Thank goodness for mom who got rid of the short tinsel thing at the top of the tree which had made it look like it had been TP’d.😂. I am so glad we got to watch the tree decorating again this year - I so enjoyed last years as well where you tied the tree to the chandelier showing us that it’s not perfection that makes it beautiful. This tree is probably more representative of the first Christmas trees. Before Christmas tree farms with perfect, albeit expensive trees. The tree is lovely. Juliette is just beautiful and Clement is always a joy to watch. Merry Christmas!

I love that you shared part of your Christmas with us, and I think it's completely fine to not have it uploaded and ready on Christmas Eve (or Christmas Day even). We are lucky to have glimpses into your lives in whatever form--and on whatever timeline--makes sense for your family. Also--your tree is beautiful! I like to say that every tree is the perfect tree :)

Think you need to grow a Nordman fir in a large pot and wheel it in and out of the house each C🤣hristmas.. How many hectares of woodland did you say you had? 🤣🤣. Clement was modeling not dancing. He looks ‘tres chic’ in his snowsuit and hat with ear flaps. I must say you all made a valiant effort with the Christmas tree, a community effort and all good fun. Especially like the way Marc just threw the garland up on the tree and what’s not to love about ‘Christmas Bat Fairy’. Juliette is gorgeous and with Marc’s coloring just the opposite of Clement fairness like you. They got the best of each of you! Looking forward to watching them grow.

Great idea to put the trees together! I've also added cut branches to thin trees to help plump them up, but this looked easier! Also, I'm so glad you lost the sound because the smile on Juliette's face while you were explaining was the sweetest thing I've seen in a very long time! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

To have a perfect Christmas tree, you might want to consider pruning them into shape in late spring. Also by pruning the tips of the branches you encourage lots of side branches to create a fuller Christmas tree for future selections. When to prunes branches to reshape young trees is before 'candling' or before they grow those new tips to their branches or soon thereafter, for best results. You needn't prune every spruce tree in your forest but choose a few to do each year while they are young, 3 to 4 feet tall, and you will have lots to choose from for many Christmases to come. Also, thinning out the plantings of young Christmas trees so they have plenty of room to bush out without deformity in your bush areas will help generate lots of promising trees for future selection. You can also move young spruce trees around ( less than 4 feet tall) to improving spacing or to have them grow in desirable areas. It is best to transplant these seedling in spring and when a few days of rain is forecast.
Oh deeear! Poor, poor trees placed crooked in a stand and squished between a sideboard and a working radiator? Oh well. I guess there is nowhere else to place it/them in the Château..;))) All in all it's still charming that's not what is important.... Happy New Year! ( Maybe Marc can start a "Christmas Tree Plantation for the future and thank God for mums!!!
