I've been riding for 30yrs and never felt like we were going backwards with engine performance until this parallel twin craze. They're budget with lame character no mater how good the chasis or fancy electronics

Cheaper to produce = slightly more profit margin for the manufacturer, easier to maintain, better gas mileage, lower insurance cost for the customer...usually. I have a parallel twin and 4 cyl in the garage, just missing a 3 cyl and this may be the one to get. There's a CF Moto dealership less than 5 miles from me... so the 675 is calling my name 🙉
Ive been a suzuki user for a decade and a cf moto user for a year. Im not gonna lie but cf moto is keeping up with the branded company. I'll go for cfmoto in this category.
i have always loved suzuki's more alien-ish look to their bike. 1300 and 1000 sure went to the extreme in that aspect, but this 8R just hits the right spot for me with its black eyeliner look
You didnt understand, its not about price its about image. No bike should corrode in short amount of time, screws shouldnt loose, pint shouldnt degrade on every cc model etc.

Parallel twins have no character and I'm just glad there's some more options out there. Chinese or not. Everyone has a budget and I'm a true enthusiast, I respect anything on 2 wheels. But yea , we've come so far we need variety like we've had since the 60's and 70"s and the mind-blowing technology and speed of the late 90's and 00's.

R6 is gone and R1 I'm surprised is still on the floors for 2025. There's nothing mind-blowing about any of these par twins. They're way overpriced idc what chasis you slap it in. To me it's just a toy. Maybe KTM has something going on but they're overpriced and QC is garbage. There was no need to flood the entire market. The MT-07 was enough.

@samwiselord I think they're too important in the motocross world that they can stay afloat. I love KTM for the balls they have not just putting out these comfortable all rounders. Every engine layout they use is extreme and I'd be really disappointed without them the way things are going.

This is a tough call. GSX8R has some of the fastest torque available period, and the ride-by-wire with autoblip, but is it realllly necessary when you can torque through everything and stay in the same gear? idk. But damn, that is a sexy looking CFMoto, it looks like an alternate universe Kawasaki. I usually think silver/grey bikes look like E-bikes but they created a nice looking color scheme with heavy black. GSX-8R looks a little funny to me and has a tiny butt. My back would regret it, but I think I'd chose the CFMoto

Yeah I wish the CFMoto were a little more relaxed like the zx4rr. 200km is a longgg way on a supersport seat. I like the option of sitting up and riding one-handed sometimes, longest I went is 5 hours on the zx4rr before my back had enough, which is equivalent to like 2 hours on an aggressive seating position
modern bikes basicallly alll have perfect or very close to perfect gearing so we can almost completely ignore this factor as predictor of performance with some exceptions 👌🏻🍿
@@mociczyczki idk it really depends on the company. CFMoto's 450cc inline 4 is only a few horsepower more than Kawasaki's 399cc, and weighs 14 pounds more. Essentially 12.5% more engine size for near 0 power increase. If Kawasaki made a 450cc inline 4 I'd bet my ass it's faster than their 399cc. Idk how the 675 dynos, but the 8R has a _lot_ of bikes under its curve so it's definitely nice for quick torque. But that 675 does look amazing

I’m in love with my 450Ss. Just not sure, since newer street bike company here in the U.S, as what the longevity is going to be compared to the big Japanese brands.
CFMOTO should add another cylinder to this engine and make it 900cc with about 160hp-180hp, and try to get the 1290 engine from KTM and make a hyper naked bike. I love how they priced this and the 800NK about the same, 2 choices for whoever wants them, revvy 3 cylinder and torquey big 2 cylinder. I'm looking forward to a hyper naked bike with 1290 KTM engine and 900cc sports bike, both price about $15k.
It’s cheaper, but that does come with some reliability and after-sale service issues. Still, I’m really excited to see them become more established globally, then the Japanese brands will have to watch out!
Well you should look up how cfmoto came to be they have KTM build quality bc they have KTM patents they had a deal with KTM a while ago like early 2000s and ik KTM isn't Japanese lol
Cfmoto has been known to be reliable. Thousands of them on the roads with no issues. Ride one and see. They ride and the fit and finish are as good or better then the Japanese bikes they compete against. My son rides his 450ss daily and over 3k miles in one summer with no issues

As a GSX-8R owner, i love my 8R. Similar to the Aprillia, you’re paying for the higher quality parts and technology. Its not great for track but I daily my bike and have been nothing but impressed

Trust me.. not sure how ur going to make a fender eliminator for that tail light .. I love suzuki but they lack UPGRADES and seems like what they do is jst adjusting updating soo f*ckng little on their bike... With little features and its getting even expensive... Sorry No to SUZUKI . CF MOTO FOR ME! Love it.
Among all the Japanese bikes, I'll go for the Suzuki anytime. Until this Chinese show up that gave me 'headache' for it's a totally new breed of manufacturer unlike others from China. So so much better. I currently owned the CFMOTO 450 MT replacing a VSTORM and it's a worth purchase. Sorry Suzuki, I'll go for the 675SS.

The 450 SR is an entry Level bike , you can't compare it to the Gsx .....the quality of my 800 NK is good.

CFMOTO should have make it a little bit lighter, few cm higher clip-ons with ride by wire throttle and cruise control.
This is on the first generation. In the coming years they'll add more and more features. Like what yamaha done with the MT07.

It's not only about HP and Torque , what about the Gearbox Ratio .... The 8R looks nice , but i prefer the Styling and Design of the 675 .
