Hitler ordered the tanks and troops to not attack Dunkirk. Historians discuss about the reason of his decision. So its a little bit wrong to say that they managed to escape because Hitler simply let them.

Yeah also the most part of the french was stuck at Dunkerque and had to hold the line for the Brits to evacuate... and for the little part of french soldier that retreat with success they have been redeploy in Bretagne, the all operation Dynamo was a logistic mess.
I remember watching a video stating the French could’ve ended the war in 1940 or 1941 but they were hesitant because they didn’t want to waste a lot of lives like ww1.
You forget one key event of this campaign: Germany could have killed them all in Dunkirk before the evacuation. A.H. gave a stop because he still believed a compromised could be reach with Churchill. He never wanted a war with British Empire. That was a huge mistake: never let the enemy escape, you must be ruthless. If he destroyed british army in Dunkirk, germans could have transformed continental Europe in a huge fortress and force Britain and US to come to terms.
"Perfect plan" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. It was an extremely risky plan, considered by both the allies and the axis generals as risky, and the Germans, knowing they could not win a drawn-out conflict with two colonial superpowers, decided to take the risk and it worked out perfectly for them.
"French abandoned Paris cuz they don't want to ruin the city". Even the Chinese held their ass even though they were inferior militarily against the Japanese but still fought on after losing many major city like beijing and nanjing.
France saved French lives through sacrificying Czechoslovakia. And as gift to that Czechoslovakian tanks LT35, better than German's in that time, came to France with Wehrmacht. I can say that 6 howitzers to Ukraine, calls to Putin, demands to stop the war, and support by mouth are similar to that sacrifice.
Light mecanized Division is a wrong trad for " division lègère mécaniqe " : mecanique =/= mecanize , it means it's fully motorized , and in fact it was a armored division very similar to panzer DIV . Funny because what you call tank division for french ( division cuirassée ) was closer to a tank brigad ( only 1 single infantry bataillon , no recon unit , just a few artillery and 4 tank bataillons )

schlieffen plan 2.0
They left the French to fight Germany on their own .then blame Franch for Surrendering
Hi Oskar, your videos are maspieces
Hitler ordered the tanks and troops to not attack Dunkirk. Historians discuss about the reason of his decision. So its a little bit wrong to say that they managed to escape because Hitler simply let them.
I don't know maybe because the troops were exhausted and the tanks were out of fuel because they marched non stop for three days!
@@darkknight6432 wrong
@@fabio8415 Alright then why did the Germans stopped at Dunkirk I'm always interested to see what you conspiracy theorists have come up with it gives me a different perspective.
Goering convinced Hitler that he could destroy the allied troops in Dunkirk
There are a lot of factors but he didn't let them escape hitler wass foolish enough to believe the uk would surrender after the biggest military disaster in British history

Others die for US.

France built forts everywhere but Paris 💀
they mostlly built them at the maginot and a few at the belgium border, they never planned for the germans to break through the lines
The scary fact is how blitz krieg is super effective against un organised or waekly defended places
The Germans kept hitting them with constant movement and the Allies had no answer to stop it
Yeah also the most part of the french was stuck at Dunkerque and had to hold the line for the Brits to evacuate... and for the little part of french soldier that retreat with success they have been redeploy in Bretagne, the all operation Dynamo was a logistic mess.
And Goring said to AH that he can kill them with the luftwaffe and failed miserable.
Detail of the 51st Highland division holding is neat
I like how they choose to surrender so the paris building won't get distroyed
They would have lost, because they were cut off from the rest of the allies.

Just for the record.
"French abandoned Paris cuz they don't want to ruin the city". Even the Chinese held their ass even though they were inferior militarily against the Japanese but still fought on after losing many major city like beijing and nanjing.
Because the French knew that they will be treated more or less well by the Germans, in contrast how Chinese got treated by the Japanese.
Little Beard challenged the entire Europe alone
This video broke the myth of france surrender after the fall of paris

Love how the dunkirk evacuation just happens that fast here hhahaha

when will you make north africa real time animated map? (from 1940 to 1943)
Hi, I would like to know how you make these videos?
Game name?
How do you make ww2 animations??
Like how instead of destroying Paris Hitler just admire the Eiffel Tower
This! Many people just say "France weak, France surrender" but , the Germans just played it very smart, encircling the most of the allied army
Didn't mention the alpine front tho
The French didn't abandon Paris to preserve it. AH didn't allow a single bomb to be dropped on Paris and the Frenchies were bad tacticians.
Allies in 1940 fought ww1 while germany was fighting ww2
His voice fits perfectly ngl
That was before the “allies” that was the failed invasion at dunkirk
Wait so taking Paris while they have disjointed government national modifier isn't historically accurate?
France saved French lives through sacrificying Czechoslovakia. And as gift to that Czechoslovakian tanks LT35, better than German's in that time, came to France with Wehrmacht. I can say that 6 howitzers to Ukraine, calls to Putin, demands to stop the war, and support by mouth are similar to that sacrifice.
The UK was like. "Ok gl byeeee"

I think i need to play the ww2 game again
Light mecanized Division is a wrong trad for " division lègère mécaniqe " : mecanique =/= mecanize , it means it's fully motorized , and in fact it was a armored division very similar to panzer DIV .
Funny because what you call tank division for french ( division cuirassée ) was closer to a tank brigad ( only 1 single infantry bataillon , no recon unit , just a few artillery and 4 tank bataillons )
Allies being useless until 1943 the war:Chapter One
we need a game like this
