As an Israeli Arab citizen, any Arab that prefers Israel to not exist is delusional. Israel is not perfect, but it’s better than all the other countries near it. Every citizen in Israel has the chance to get educated, pick up a skill, build and prosper and live in dignity. The biggest issue in Israel is war, and sadly that’s not single sided.

Three years back on my flight to Tel Aviv, I got a chance to meet a few Muslim Arabs from Israel. It was exactly the same story. They said the life of Muslim Arabs in Israel was much better than their relatives in either Palestine or Lebanon. And they also told me not to believe in what the mainstream media showed us. It really came as a surprise to me because all that I had seen was constant fights between Arabs and the Jews in Israel.

If you add those who were naturalised, the figure goes up to ~1.5 million. The number of Arab citizens of Israel are around 1.8 million. And in Jordan there are 3 million Palestinians. Much much more than the number of Arabs citizens of Israel. Of course there are going to Palestinians who choose to become citizens of Israel for many reasons (eg. Marriage). Not every single Palestinian acts the same way. But the number of Palestinians in Jordan are higher than Arabs citizens of Israel. There are also many Palestinians in the Gulf. And we haven't even considered Palestinians in other Arab countries.

As an Israeli Jew, I can tell you that the Jews are the first to want peace. The Israeli Arabs live here like kings, they can do anything here. even to be prime ministers. Until we lost trust in them completely. I'm sure there are good Arabs who want to live next to me, but every Arab I see on the street the first thing that comes to my mind is that he wants to murder me. Because throughout the entire time that our country existed and even before it was established, they carried out so many terrorist attacks, so many Jews were murdered. And now, after October 7, my trust in them will be zero. Until they prove again that they really want to live in peace and not kill us, only then will my trust in them be restored. Am Israel chai!❤❤

I think the author of this video is portraying a versatile and pluralistic Israel vs a dense and unexamined Palestine. The problem is that he is right, and very sophisticated . Ask any Palestinian what to do with mentally challenged kids or gays.. The results will vary but I guarantee there is less compassion on the Arab side.
@Mas Gonderawi So generalizing all Jews is okay then? Also you know exactly what he meant when he said you were anti-semetic. At least be honest here considering you are already making a fool of yourself so might as well be honest :)
@Mas Gonderawi "please define what is an antisemite" - read the dictionary. It refers specifically to Jews only, and in the word's historical context there's good reason for that. The fact that the political philosophers who co-founded the ideas of capitalism and communism were Jews, is not damning at all, as most Jews disagreed with them at the time, and continue the debates to this day. We are a people of creative thinking, debate, argument, exploration of ideas, NOT a people fixed to an ideology. Certainly not fixed to capitalism or communism. Get this very simple point drilled into your mind and you may still have hope to overcome the paranoid delusional sickness named antisemitism.
This is not a surprise to me. I have lived with Jewish people in Australia. As a young man many of my friends were Jewish. They were good people. They know how to manage a business and I am sure they know how to manage a country. There is something sinister about antisemitism.
People don't understand antisemitism. They think its like racism, which is more direct and individual like "That black guy is a criminal", which is wrong as well but antisemitism is conspiracy based and directed to the group - "Jews are trying to take over the world" "Jews are lying to us about their intentions" "Jews do human sacrifice" "Jews steal organs" and other forms of blood libel (blood libel is an important one to understand) etc. You hear people talk about "The jews are doing this" but you don't get "The blacks are doing this", instead its "Black individuals are doing this" (still wrong just different) People don't understand thats how it works, they force a western view of prejudice (racism) on them, and say "we aren't anti semitic because we don't have issues with individual jews", then follow it up with "its just the jewish movement that is committing genocide on the palestinians (which isn't true and is blood libel) and things like that which we don't like" and in the arab world they think "jews want to destroy al aqsa mosque" and "Jews steal organs" etc. Anti semitism in the middle east didn't start with zionism, it started with Eastern European Christians bringing antisemitic pamphlets and books that were used to create the idea of "jews trying to take over the world" and accusations of sacrifice etc. (all bullshit used to get rid of jews from their countries or in cases like hitler to create a common enemy to unite your people as you as their leader) which led to massacres of jews specifically due to blood libel all through the 1800s - Aleppo (1810, 1850, 1875), Damascus (1840, 1848, 1890), Beirut (1862, 1874), Dayr al-Qamar (1847), Jerusalem (1847), Cairo (1844, 1890, 1901-02), Mansura (1877), Alexandria (1870, 1882, 1901-02), Port Said (1903, 1908), and Damanhur (1871, 1873, 1877, 1892)

You're conflicting quality of life with rights, nobody is denying living under Israel is better for Palestinians because of quality of life but Israel distinguishes between citizenship and nationality which is literally discriminatory. So no Arab-Israelis don't have the same rights, they don't hold government positions, arab villages in Israel arent held within the same standards as Jewish villages. Not to mention discrimination in private job markets, courts etc. Palestenians don't have a right to return but the Jewish do according to the 1950 law of return, this is an appartheid, Arab-Israelis are second class citizens.

They have the same blue ID card - just like everyone else and so on. They may not have the same representation in the government because they are a minority - but this is true for every minority in every country in the world. Palestinians who are NOT Israeli do not have the right to return. Arabs can become citizens of Israel, but in many other Arab countries (the Gulf ones), citizenship is reserved only for Arabs. For example, in Saudi or UAE even if you're a Pakistani Muslim, you will never be able to become a citizen. In the same Arab countries, it's illegal for Arabs to be Christian. They only allow Pilipinos and Indians to be Christian. Bibles in Arabic are banned.
@@han1218 That's not true. In the case of Saudi Arabia, there is no such ethnic restriction on naturalization -- only linguistic requirements pertaining to fluency in Arabic. So, e.g, a Pakistani Muslim who has laid down roots in the country and mastered Arabic would not be de jure excluded from receiving citizenship on virtue of his origins. UAE does have modified naturalization regulations for ethnic Arabs, but there is a nominal -- though admittedly arduous -- path to citizenship for non-Arabs. It requires 30 years of residence. Also, on major holidays, the highways shut down, and it's illegal to drive on them. The younger Tel Aviv residents go out and do highway walks. My son said that was so cool! LOL!
Nice to hear your perspective! One small correction, there is only one day a year when people do not drive and that is Yom Kipur. And probably would benefit from doing more often… Also of course if you have an emergency or anything like that, you can drive, say… to the hospital. I wish for peace for everyone leaving here, and soon. We need it!

In the former, Palestinians enjoy the benefits of democracy, rule of law, and economic opportunities. This does not apply in the occupied territories, which were conquered (justly) in 1967 but remain frozen in a state of continuous military rule, settler expansion, and violent confrontation due to the failure of various attempts to find a long-term, peaceful arrangement.

My son lived in Israel for a year and a half. Arabs are very satisfied in Israel and treated very well. Tensions can run high in Jerusalem, largely due to the shared holy site of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Temple Mount, but 99% of the time, life in Israel is peaceful, contemporary, and progressive with a good life for all people living in Israel...Israelis, Arabs, Europeans, Americans...everyone!
This settles it. People prefer to be governed by a government that cares for the people; that it's primary objective is to secure prosperity for its citizens. They don't want to live in a country governed by people who are fuled by hatred and care more about destroying its neighbors than providing.

This video shows that there are many Israeli Arabs that are not radicalized, and are logical, rational people that only want to live in peace and prosper. Love this
My grandparents left Syria for America. They never wanted to return even for a visit to their “homeland.” My grandfather said “bc America is a proper organized democracy that knows how to take care of its citizens.” Israel is the closest thing in the Middle East that is a functioning democracy & the closest thing to a Western civilization. I don’t agree w/the way Netanyahu is doing business but don’t think for a 2nd Palestinians would have it better under Palestinian rule.

This brings me so much hope and warms my heart. May we be together with our cousins one say and live in peace. The Land of Israel is inseparable, indivisible. Our palestinian and Arab cousins should live among us and be represented as full equal citizens. No more wall no more idiotic 2 state solution imposed upon us by the british. One nation. One set of rules. One government for all people of the Holy Land.
@@docorwhatever2168 a lot of young Israelis and Palestinians want that. they want one-state with equal citizenship for all, and equal representation in government. Of course not all of them do, some want 2 states, some want one state with only palestinians in charge, or only jews in charge etc etc. But I've seen round-table discussions between young (under 25) palestinian activists and young israeli activists and in that discussion they agreed together that this (one state with Jews and Palestinians as equal citizens, using democracy to choose leadership) was what they all wanted. So, it's not about 'taking over' the west bank, it's about ending the conflict and allowing the ballot box to decide who's in charge. It's not that outrageous an idea, if young people on both sides want it. Unlikely to happen, I think, but still it has its merits.
Wont work. When Islam rules all other religions are marginalized. How many Muslim states have non Muslims or Jews in the government? The Palestinians already stated no Jews will ever live on our land, and it's in their charter. No Jews are there now or ever. Its Jew free.
Wouldnt it be amazing if the two could live peacefully side by side, an let the world visit unrestricted an see the land were the three religions came from
@efopo That land is where the three religions came from its referenced in all the holy books. Some day Israel an Palestine will live side by side , peacefully an be greatful of each others company.
Among the people who answered they want full equality but with an Israeli / Jewish government - What this means is that Israel will join all Palestinians under Israel government and let all civilians have equal rights, including voting. The issue with this is that Israel will lose its legitimacy and demographic majority once that happens. Soon after, the jews will become a minority and the government will become arab, losing the first point made that Israeli / Jew government is better. Besides that, what will probably happen later is that the Jews will be back to square one - they will be expelled again from their own country, with no state in the world as home. The 1947 UN partition program came to solve that, stating clear lines and the clear difference between 2 different countries, but that was lost a long time ago. Solutions are in search for 75 years now :)

@Mas Gonderawi Don't know what you're referring to but materialism is not Jewish but Western.
@Mas Gonderawi You antisemites need to make up your mind about whether we're materialist greedy capitalist pigs, or bolshevik communist traitors. I'm sure it won't cross your mind that we may be neither, or extremely diverse in opinion among our own.
You hear people talk about "The jews are doing this" but you don't get "The blacks are doing this", instead its "Black individuals are doing this" (still wrong just different)
People don't understand thats how it works, they force a western view of prejudice (racism) on them, and say "we aren't anti semitic because we don't have issues with individual jews", then follow it up with "its just the jewish movement that is committing genocide on the palestinians (which isn't true and is blood libel) and things like that which we don't like" and in the arab world they think "jews want to destroy al aqsa mosque" and "Jews steal organs" etc.

Arabs can become citizens of Israel, but in many other Arab countries (the Gulf ones), citizenship is reserved only for Arabs.

My son lived in Israel for a year and a half. As an American in Israel, one of the hardest adjustments is that their weekend is Friday and Saturday, with the workweek starting on Sunday.
I am not religious, but I think it’s a beautiful tradition that mixes the secular with the religious. I’m sure having one day a year with no cars is something we can do! And probably would benefit from doing more often…

On kibbutz in Israel many years ago, I recall Arab Israelis saying how well treated they were by kibbutz people
And there you have, folks. This says it all.
