    First run died about half way through the island, cuz i was trying to spread out in cover for the rock-paper-scissors coverage.
    Second run breezed through, including all optional objectives and choosing the more difficult scenarios, barely taking damage, after i realized you can just group all 3 mechs together, and they'll out dps the enemy.
    Enemy can't move and shoot, so by the time they get in range, they're just dead.
    Weapon triangle averted 👍🙃

    This game sounds great on paper, but for me it sadly measures up to the two games that I reflexively compare it against: Ironcast (match-3-fueled mech combat) and Enter the Breach (turn-based mech cobat puzzle game)
    It's missing the build diversity and tactical choices of the aforementioned games - the roguelike bonuses on this seem heavily weighted towards simple statistical boosts with, at most, a conditional or a standard addition like a DoT. Not nothing, to be sure, but where is the upgrade to make the command vehicle into a regen tank and the fire mech into the far superior for delivering fuel supplies?
    The semi-realtime doesn't do it any favors either, I think: in particular, it makes for an awkward mix of the strategic thinking of a turn-based game (which goes well with the rock-paper-scissors damage types, the objectives, the movement grid, and so on), and the rapid prioritisation plus the micromanagement and reflexes of an RTS game (enforced by the controls, and loosely matching the more RTS parts of the game plus the reasons to micro, such as the bomb runs).

    It looks good until you play it, this is a glorified semi-autobattler in this form. It will come out next year but its very boring since you only move units around until they shot something automatically. You can only play as the allies wich is super boring. If i had a dollar for every game where you play "allies" i would buy an apartment

      Ah yes my favorite roguelike where you start with everything and there are no stakes because you're playing as the Axis who most of the time are the bad guy (and already winning) because its alot easier to let players engage with the Allies losing than the Axis losing (People don't tend to care for nazis, wonder why)

      2 has a better story. 3 is fun, but came off as a bit forced.

      @@wanderbots I like how zaney 3 is. And how it is very clearly not the history we know with the empire of the rising sun being a predominant military power. Also floating tanks and mech suits

    I tried the demo out a bit, and while I like the idea for this game. I'm not a fan of the execution. I think one of the bigger personal hang ups is not being a fan of the whole enemies constantly being airdropped onto the field instead of dealing with any pre deployed placements.

      The airdrop system seemed strange to me also. Perhaps they should just enter the arena and arrows on the ground indicate where.

    I'm only 15 minutes in but you're not pausing and using abilities enough. That's why you're playing badly so far. Will continue watching and hope it improves!
