Surprisingly, most of this movie was filmed in studio….including most shots ‘outside’! There’s a Behind the Scenes extra showing the BTS filming that’s really fun on the dvd extras.
This Broadway tour came through town last year and it was a ton of fun to watch live. And yes, at the end they did the little mini concert and had us up and dancing in our chairs!
Pierce Bronson trying to sing cracks me up every time. It's like the casting director forgot to check that in the audition. Plus he cannot pull off angst at all. Look at that chiseled face and body. Dude's never been sad in his life.
I'm usually super critical of the voices in stage musicals adapted to movies, but for some reason it doesn't bother me at all in this film. None of the lead men have particularly good voices and it just seems in character for them (which is not the case for, say, Gerard Butler in Phantom of the Opera).
❤❤ 😂 all right John and Aaron go ahead do Mamma Mia too. You guys started it and you guys look like you had so much fun I am so willing to watch it. It’s the reason why I like the shows you guys are picking really good stuff for you guys to watch so Aaron and John Mamma Mia too I would go for you.
when we saw this in the cinema (we went to a singalong version) there was a group of women who were all dressed up and they brought tambourines to play during the songs - was super funny and everyone was singing 😌
I’m not afraid to call this a perfect movie. It knows what it is, who it’s for, & it’s only goal is to get ABBA songs stuck in your head for the rest of your life 🤍
I think yall would like the 2nd movie. It dives into Donna's backstory. Shows her traveling after graduating, how and why she settled in Greece, her meeting the 3 men and how things went down with them, the girl group she was in with her friends. Very sweet movie
I remember dressing up in an old dance costume and dancing around my living room when I was home alone at about 10 and found this dvd and watched it twice in a row. A perfect movie and a gateway drug to ABBA, an addiction I’ve never kicked 🤣

Beyoncé was in one called The Fighting Temptations
this was so much fun to watch with you guys!! Mamma Mia Here We Go Again was the sequel/prequel was another really fun watch :)
YESSS!! I hope yall watch Here we go again!! Love these musicals!!
F[luff], Marry, Kill: Sam, Bill, & Harry... GO!
F Bill, Marry Sam, Kill Harry. But I love them all! I would hate to do that to Harry. I just feel like Bill would be different in the bedroom IDK why!! maybe the way he likes to be naked already and is playful with it? lol
F Sam, marry Harry (because Colin Firth 😍), and Kill Bill - sorry, I love Bill, too, but I just couldn’t kill Harry. He’s too adorable. ‘I’d have loved a daughter, I’d have spoiled her rotten’ 😍😍
Marry Bill, fluff Harry, kill Sam (mainly just for how he butchered SOS)
F: Bill, M: Harry, K: Sam
I guess I’ll have a lavender marriage with Harry, F Bill and Kill Sam (nothing wrong with him, but he is the most meh for me)
One of my favorites to rewatch 🥰 A fan film of Pierce and his singing ❤
I don't think I've ever sung to any of my friends but I did once sing to my mother to comfort her when I was a little girl.
By the time you guys finish with the sequel, you all will realize that no single ABBA song is bad. It’s only how much you love it😊
After Mamma Mia franchise, I would recommend you guys to look into these musical movies that I love ❤️:
- Beauty and the Beast (2017)
- The Greatest Showman (2017)
- Les Miserables (2012)
- Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)
- The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
- Moulin Rouge (2001)
- Anastasia (1997)
- Grease (1978)
Mamma Mia series were fun and lighthearted musical/drama. But the above-mentioned movies were great 👍 Hope to see both of yours reaction on it soon😎
I can't wait for you guys to see "Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again." All I will say is when you see who plays Donna's mother/Sophie's grandmother (in my Janice from "Friends" voice) ... OOOHHH MMMMYYYY GGGGAAAAWWWWDDD!!!
The way the background characters where a literal greek chorus😭👏
Surprisingly, most of this movie was filmed in studio….including most shots ‘outside’! There’s a Behind the Scenes extra showing the BTS filming that’s really fun on the dvd extras.
This Broadway tour came through town last year and it was a ton of fun to watch live. And yes, at the end they did the little mini concert and had us up and dancing in our chairs!
I was waiting to see if they recognized mama Weasley ❤❤❤
Pierce Bronson trying to sing cracks me up every time. It's like the casting director forgot to check that in the audition. Plus he cannot pull off angst at all. Look at that chiseled face and body. Dude's never been sad in his life.
I'm usually super critical of the voices in stage musicals adapted to movies, but for some reason it doesn't bother me at all in this film. None of the lead men have particularly good voices and it just seems in character for them (which is not the case for, say, Gerard Butler in Phantom of the Opera).
Some of the behind the scenes clips are so cool, and very entertaining. And now, Mamma Mia 2.....
Haven't seen this in years. Brought on all the good Abba musical feels 💙 The sequel/prequel is also really good.
I really need a trip to Greece now 😍
Singing in the Rain and Chicago I’ll recommend to y’all
Much love🙏🔥❤️
❤❤ 😂 all right John and Aaron go ahead do Mamma Mia too. You guys started it and you guys look like you had so much fun I am so willing to watch it. It’s the reason why I like the shows you guys are picking really good stuff for you guys to watch so Aaron and John Mamma Mia too I would go for you.
You guys should react to Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, or Rent
"The judges will deciiiiiide...."
"Tune in tonight at niiiiineeee..."
**spits out drink**
that was so good 😭
First High School Musical, and now Mamma Mia!? ❤ You are making me really happy with these reactions haha
when we saw this in the cinema (we went to a singalong version) there was a group of women who were all dressed up and they brought tambourines to play during the songs - was super funny and everyone was singing 😌
Oh I hope you do Here We Go Again
Eurovision Song Contest with Will Ferrell is a great musical also featuring a star studed cast!!!!
These reactions are such a unique opportunity to hear the isolated audio of these songs 😂😂😂 it's so weird but fun
Fantastic reaction! I had so much fun watching this with you guys. I loved that you were having as much fun as I was thank you. ❤😊
🎶 MOMMA MIA! HERE THEY GO AGAIN! 🎶
Such a happy and fun movie
It's not a musical but if you guys enjoy ABBA then check out Muriel's Wedding. Their music features heavily in it and it's such a wonderful movie.
I’m not afraid to call this a perfect movie. It knows what it is, who it’s for, & it’s only goal is to get ABBA songs stuck in your head for the rest of your life 🤍
One of the best reactions! This was so much fun!
This is my favorite film. Makes me so happy that you guys covered it.
I think yall would like the 2nd movie. It dives into Donna's backstory. Shows her traveling after graduating, how and why she settled in Greece, her meeting the 3 men and how things went down with them, the girl group she was in with her friends. Very sweet movie
Abba really brings people together 17:15
Boy. I sure hope you guys continue covering movie musicals. In the Heights is another good modern day musical.
One of the best movies and I don't mind watching it over again. Can't wait to see if you do the second one!
(Best Mario impression) MAMMA MIA!!!
I remember dressing up in an old dance costume and dancing around my living room when I was home alone at about 10 and found this dvd and watched it twice in a row. A perfect movie and a gateway drug to ABBA, an addiction I’ve never kicked 🤣
I love the horror reactions too - but now that it’s almost summer, more HAPPY/FUNNY REACTIONS like this 100%
