    Is there a way to add antiquing color to already sealed stamped concrete? Also, is there a way to knock the gloss of solvent based sealer? Thx

      Antiquing will not bond to sealed concrete. Letting the sealer wear down will dull the surface naturally or a year or two.

    I've seen in a couple of your videos, seeing the guy walking around sandblasting the sealer off is interesting! Could you share a make model brand with me of what you're using? I was trying to find a service around me, in Colorado, and I'm not having any luck. My husband says we should just buy one, and I thought I'd ask you guys since you are the experts on what you're using to sandblast off the sealer. At one point we were going to try to use xylene but apparently it is illegal here in Colorado. So we're really struggling on finding a way to completely strip the sealer off of our patio so that we can reseal it. We've had it sealed a couple times and the last two times. The sealer is only lasting about 3 months before it gets delaminated and looks like there's no sealer on it. Spent way too much on this big giant patio for it to not look good so we're really trying to do the right thing and get it looking brand new. Love your videos. Thanks for all your help!

      The Concrete Doctor is the guy in our videos doing the sandblasting. Here is his Facebook page facebook.com/thecretedoctors/ he may be able to answer your questions. There are few contractors offering this service exclusively, but there are some mobile sandblasting companies that may do your concrete for you, just have to ask. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

    What’d would you say is the easiest way to make indoor sealed concrete look shiny?

    • @DecoCreteTV
      @DecoCreteTV  2 роки тому

      Applying another coat of sealer or maybe floor wax will help the shine.

      @@DecoCreteTV thank you, the wax isn’t as permanent as a sealer right? What brand of sealer would you recommend as the easiest?

    How long should I wait to seal fresh concrete?

    • @DecoCreteTV
      @DecoCreteTV  Місяць тому

      Thanks for the comment! The best thing would be to wait 30 days before sealing, but some of this would depend on the type of sealer and if the concrete is interior or exterior. There is also a difference between curing and sealing. Curing compounds need to applied within 24 hours. I'll leave link to a few other videos on types of sealer & curing vs sealing. Does the same test work for aggregate concrete?

    • @DecoCreteTV
      @DecoCreteTV  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for the comment! Yes, the test would still work on exposed aggregate. If the concrete gets darker really quick, that means the water is soaking in, and it probably needs sealed. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!

      Over concrete

      Thanks for the comment! The best thing to do is remove the sealer first. If this is not possible, you could scuff the sealer up with a sander and use Surebond as a primer to help it bond. It's always a bit risky to put anything on top of sealed concrete, but the Surebond would help! I'll leave a link to the page on our website.
