This is a how to install BBR Heavy Duty Fork Springs and Damping Rods for the 2019 Yamaha TTR-110 #pitbike. Overall the job was not hard, but I would highly suggest locking down a bench vise before doing this job. This pitbike made a HUGE difference for any adult that is going to be riding a 110.

Well jus got mine in the mail. Goin to see if it’s fits the 2021 ttr110e
I followed the BBR instructions and it says with the spring out and fork tub fully compressed you should measure from top of the tub down 92mm. That’s where your oil is recommended to be. Not sure how many ounces it is though. Hope this helps someone.
Much appreciated!!
Just so every knows, you need 165mL of oil per fork!
Do u need damping rods to make the bike sit higher or can you just use heavy duty fork springs
Damping rods add the height, the springs will only add the stiffness.
You are the best
Thanks man! These vids were really helpful to a lot of people! Entire reason I made them is because there wasn’t really much out there!
@@realmmfc I 'm italian, I just buy Yamaha ttr 110 I love this bike. I wont do take the BBR spring
It’s a great bike! Crazy we could reach out to help all the way in France!! All the best man!
I take the ttr for my soon but I used because I love this bike
thanks for the video!...quick question, after installing BBR spring/ dampner do you still use the stock spacer that goes on top of the spring? (the one you set on your seat around 6:30 in this clip) thanks again
Yes you do!
You used the same original brake cable?
No, you'll need a +5. If you can't find one for TTR specifically, KLX will work!
Just got off the phone with Yamaha if anyone els is wondering 6.5 ounces of fork oil I used 15 weight
Thank you for this!!! Not all heroes wear capes!!
I had seen that someone commented 165ml. But 6.5oz is 192ml. I’m doing mine right now and I’m held up on knowing the correct amount Forsure!
I also did the bbr dampening rods and bbr springs.
If I have pro it out triple clamp installed will doing this front fork setup like this be too much height in front? And will plus 3 Bbr brake cable work or will I need 5 with the pro circuit triple clamp plus this Bbr damping rods and springs?
Hey man I’m trying to preload the standard spring with a few washers as a cheap way to get abit it extra stiffness. Is there a trick to getting the circlip out of the top of the shock? I’ve removed the black cap but I’m stuck as how to get the clip out and access to the spacer. Thanks a heap
its pretty tough to get out but no tricks really. Just take the pressure off of the ring by pushing down and pry it out with a small screwdriver.
Are the BBR fork springs for the TTR specifically?....or do the KLX BBR fork springs fit?...Thanks in advance!
As best I know they are specific. I know for sure that the crf are different.
They are specific for each bike. I own both the KLX and TTR 110
Are the ttr110 heavy duty shock springs the same as the klx heavy duty shock springs?
They are not
So you cant use them on ttr110?
@@jessemartin2348 I am not sure to be honest. I ordered the ones specific to TTR and I know the KLX are different sizes.
Oh okay thanks man
hey where did you order all those pieces
BBR Motorsports!
what springs forks and the Damping rods did you get ttr125 or ttr10
110! As best as I know, BBR has started producing more finally!
For the height, could I just get the damping rods and keep the stock springs?
Yeah, you could. You’ll ride a little high up front though.
Hello I recently installed springs and rods in my 2020 ttr110 and I'm not sure if its actually that much stiffer or the forks aren't compressing
That’s odd man. Did you forget to add fluid or the spacers back in there? If not, then idk. The BBR springs and rods are very noticeable
Hey bro, I’m local to you. Well kinda I’m in Raleigh. We should link up and ride
We’re down!
What weight fork oil did you use? I'm 140 lbs and thinking 10 wt.
Jeff Syslo I don’t remember exactly, but I want to say I grabbed 20 wt.
I used 15wt, and I am 145 lb. Definitely, a lot stiffer than stock, but I got used to it quickly and they're breaking in nicely. Landing is so much better while jumping
Antonello Morelli no doubt man! Even the small changes make a big difference on these bikes!
Antonello Morelli for sure! Definitely makes a difference!
20 wt
What year spring did u get for the klx110l I’m looking to do the same suspension setup for my TTR110 as you have
Brock Avery was advertised as being off of a 17 KLX110L. It’s coming from a private seller in Australia, so really just have to see when it gets here. Finally got an update from USPS about tracking and it will be here on Saturday. If all goes right, I’ll have the video up Sunday night!
So i have this bike but its a 2014. I got it and fixed it up and it ran fine. It started bogging the next ride so i rode it once more before cleaning the carbuerator. It started bogging the second you would throttle it and then the kick got stuck. But when you used the electric start it didnt try it went: NEMP instead of like trying to start like NENENENENNEMMMPPPP know what i mean? SOmeone help!
Do u need to use lock tight on the bolts when putting them back in
I typically lock tight everything. Did not here though. Never hurts!
@@realmmfc Oo thank you and can u do a video update about the ttr 110
It’s been done bro! ua-cam.com/video/S56Rhmh1fMY/v-deo.html
Do you know the torque specs for the top and bottom clamps and the front axle
I just blew shock up
Hahah!! That’s CRAZY!! I thought If I hadn’t yet, it’s couldn’t be done!!
Ouuuuuuuuch
Will Ttr 90 front springs work in a ttr110?
Never owned the TT-R90 so honestly not sure man!
I got a 2019 ttr 110 the rims got trashed on it I’m haven a hard time finding the right ones I need can someone help
Should be able to just toss what you’re looking for into google
@@realmmfc I get confused when viewing them I searched eBay in it’s very confusing I don’t wanna order the wrong rims I need the rims with the drum brakes in all I seem to find is front disk rims in it mostly pops up stickers & crf rims
@@dylanga2666 yeah so the inner part of the wheel is called the hub, that’s the part the drum will drop into. The wheel is the outer part past the spokes only. If you only are looking for wheels all you need to get is the 14” or 12” wheel. If you need spokes, hubs and bearings, that’s going to be harder to find unless you do a disc conversation .
@@realmmfc the hubs good on the back I be able to order spokes in a wheel I should be good for the back.... the front wheel is the worst completely trashed can I order the disk wheel conversion for the front in use that in maybe not hook up the brake caliber ..thank you for your help bro I really appreciate it
@@dylanga2666 as far as the disc conversion goes, I haven’t done it myself so I am not sure exactly what all is involved bud.
Could you link them please
Purchased direct from BBR. Out of stock and I think youre going to have to do some digging bro!
Do you get an extra 2 inches of travel out of the front forks with that setup?
It’s about 1.5” but it’s a game changer. Definitely noticeable! Especially when coupled with a 290mm rear shock!
@@realmmfc sounds good! Just picked one up and these things are a blast. Very nice bike sir, I've been checking out some of your videos🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@Foodforestculture it’s is for sure! Thanks for watching my guy!
