I've learned to live with the speed sign recognition by turning the volume of the chiming down to the minimum. When you go through the speed limit of say 80kph and then set the cruise at 85kph, because the speedos all over read by about 5%, the chiming stops. It only chimes as you pass the speed limit, as a warning and then shuts up. So it's far less intrusive as it's quieter and does serve a purpose by reminding me to hit cruise at +5kph so I get to keep my license, then it shuts up. I do turn off lane assist at the wheel and everything else is always off. It's really not such a big deal but if they offer a software update to turn the chimes off i'll take it because that's how it is in my i20N and I prefer it for sure.
All the speed assist function needs is for the default setting to be "no audible alerts" but it still remain on. Just that alone would make the entire system acceptable and would stop it from becoming a deal breaker for a lot of people. Genuinely, i've seen plenty of comments from people who disregard this car for this one and only thing.
@@ZippehJr yeah I’ve told people if they are in the market right now to consider trying to grab a deal on the previous model which is in run out. And added bonus - no audible safety beep BS.
It's like they were drunk when they came up with the trims for the various global markets. Australia... DCT and manual are the same price but the sunroof is an optional extra, you don't get the N bucket seats, but do get rear center console vents. US market... the DCT is an optional extra, but it comes with a sunroof and the manual does not, but you do get the N bucket seats, but no rear vents. Canadian market, the DCT is an optional extra, but you get the sunroof standard with both the DCT and manual and you get the N bucket seats but no rear vents. Puerto Rico... different wheels. Korea... radar cruise control. And so on and so on.
I think what Hyundai has to do is update the i30 N hatch. The sedan N is getting all of the love with facelifts and stuff but the i30 hatch N doesn't even have digital gauges.. Which just shows how outdated the hatch is. If you asked me, I would get the sedan just because of the love it is getting, and I think I'm not the only one.
No way is it worth an upgrade over 22/23 version.. if a race driver drives both back to back on a track and wipes off some time, I’ll eat my words.. the new version might be a hair slower, bit more weight and softer car. Both new and older versions are amazing cars.
@@TheUnreadableUserwhy am I watching is none of your concern lil bro. New car is way better - if you have got old one, make sure you make those payments on time😂😂😂
Apparently they are no longer making the 24s as they are focusing on the upcoming 2025 Ns. So that is enough to tell you that these are limited production...
@@jonttran1092 I've only seen stuff on the hatch variant so far, nothing on the sedan yet. I bet they'll give that a proper unveiling instead of N Australia just posting pictures. Since the sedan is the model that sells the most. Like do you think they are going to axe the ioniq 5 N and maybe try a inster N instead? Try driving it in enthusiasticly in some twisties and you'll know. I just traded in a Mustang with magnaride, and have no complaints. I30 N quicker in corners, and fun in a different way.
the only thing it suffers from is grip from really low speeds (such as a dig) however the LSD is really good and the car can out preform AWD cars in corning (such as the new wrx) but ngl having it rwd would of been a dream.
The reinforced engine mount membrane you mentioned is nothing more than a slightly stiffer bushing on the lower engine mount. They claim this reduces wheel hop but it doesn't because the bushing is not nearly stiff enough. You can buy a powerflex bushing for $50 and remedy that to yourself.
I know someone who has the "base" nline version of this (also a 24 i30 sedan, with the styling directly from this, minus the performance engine. Although I have read that the regular i30 engine gets little more horsies with a small turbo charger and siff breaks and suspension and heavier steering, which are specific to the nline. Which the base i30 dosen't have. Makes me think of funeral cars and car based ambulances in the us back in the 30s to the 70s, where each of the coach builders all used diffrent parts, even though it was the same base model - series 75 chassis in Cadillacs case) and they are not a fan of the performance blue colour😂 Yet so far out of the 3 full N i30s I have seen (they seem to be rare, along with the nline) all of them have been this performance blue
The facelift model does not have improved air cooling to the front brakes because it has zero air cooling to the front brakes just like the 22/23. What's your referencing was just the air curtain at the corner which is for aerodynamics nothing to do with brakes. If you look inside the wheel well you will not see any air ducts going to the brakes. All Hyundai did was wrap the Flex lines in a heat insulating material that anybody can buy on Amazon and do their self.
I can't comment on the pre-facelift car, but I just picked up a 2024 N and am very impressed with the level of refinement for a car with this level of cornering performance. Not even remotely close to what I'd call horrible.
WHOOPS! Meant to say the old car didn’t have USB ports in the back. It did in fact have air vents

Wonder who has been playing with the intake. The hose clamp on the re-circulation pipe has been moved.
