i know a few people have already said it but hell, Johnny Cash who right now is teaching God how to play guitar up in heaven is damn proud of this cover by the great Alan Jackson.
No one could ever duplicate Cash and would attempt a risky feat covering an iconic hit. But Alan Jackson is a master and pays the most flattering homage in this version celebrating Johnny Cash and his music. The omission of the horns, but addition of lee ann's vocals is genius. Well done, yet again, AJ!.
I bet Alan is truly honoured to cover a song by such a legend.
And I bet if he were still alive, Johnny Cash would thank Alan for doing such a great job.
Because that's what country is, and there's a great respect for each other between everyone.

Well Alan,I forgot to mention one other thing. But Irena is in the hospital again. She went to Degraff Memorial hospital which is out by my house. And they couldn't do anything to help her. So then she went to Millard Fillmore Suburban in the village of Williamsville. And they're working on her now. They are doing what they can so she can come home to us. Alan has done an excellent job with a great song by an undisputed legend of country music. Alan made it his own without losing the the original sound that made it so great. JVernon83, I agree with you. That is why I listen to very little country music anymore. We do have an AM station that plays 95% old country music. Infact, that is where I heard Alan's version of this song.
