+Nick Short That's appreciated Nick, glad you enjoyed it. I assume you have checked out my playlist of all the other GCR footplate footage ? Regards, Brian.
Thanks Matt, glad you enjoyed it and Alan is a very experienced former BR Driver used to handling such mineral trains much longer and loose coupled. As a rough estimate I would say the 14 (empty) mineral wagons & two Brake Vans featured would be around 180 tons. Thanks for your sub, cheers, Brian.
I love the steam train because my father is a old steam-train driver.🚂🥰
Hi Brian. Well worth waiting for this video!. Fantastic footage from aboard the 8F at the Winter Steam Gala 2016!. Regards, Nick

No I am not family. Alan certainly is the best and most knowledgeable driver.
Alan is a great driver. What he doesn't know about steam engines you cannot write on a postage stamp.
XX..... ? I'd be interested to know how much he paid you to say that....... Are you family lol. (but yes, you're right!!).
Very good video! He drove her really well and not once had a slip! How much does the windcutter train weigh?
