I can say that the Secret Service has gotten lax. During Bush Sr's administration, they covered every elevated area with teams. That was on top of what they did in the building he went to. I had friends in the agency back in the late 80's early 90's and saw their work a few times. I believe this would not have happened with them.

yeah alot of democrats registered republican to sabotage the trump nominee and vote for Nicky Haley.

And Democrat leadership has been encouraging their voters to register as Republican just to influence primaries.
