I'm not an expert, but it seems to be a good representation. I've only seen season 1. I think the spoken Japanese is sometimes off though, their accents I mean :D That one dude (minister of commerce or something?) is verry spiritual, which is fascinating but not sure if there are many people like that nowadays. Although you could say that in this world, the Japanese were not defeated so they still held on to their belief in the divine nature of the emperor, and spiritual beliefs remained strong among the populace.
Honestly I could listen to you talk about ANY history. You deliver the story/ content in such a great entertaining way. You could start your own podcast too😂

That story was the end of my first relationship in Japan. I took her to Himeiji Castle and she kept finding all this creepy stuff. There's a suicide courtyard, old coffins and statues repurposed into the stone walls, the well itself with the story on a plaque, and just the fact that it's mostly original so it has that creepy old castle atmosphere. Every other word out of her mouth was 'koai!' (scary). There was a pair of suits of armor on one of the floors inside the tower and I asked her if they checked inside them for a missing plate. She didn't think it was funny and ghosted me after an uncomfortable walk back to the station.
I was born and adopted out at Osaka, Japan and when someone wants to learn the Japanese Culture. Its makes me very happy to know that someone wants to learn my culture, I do get a lot of weird looks of my biological family's teachings thou. My biological father side is a strong line of Samurai and Geshia, even thou they are a "Gang" which in Japan we say "Clans" not as a gang. It's mostly the wording that comes to Americans as "A Gang of multiple people in a group: A Gang Family...." which makes it difficult to say that they arent a Gang, just a Clan. Yea some dont want to listen or just roll their eyes, but I tell them "I'm happy you are trying to learn about my culture, but please just throw it to the side because of anime or manga. It's more understandable if you experience it yourself, because there is more then the pages of a manga or a clip of a anime that makes Japan unique and beautiful."
If you can't get a girl near you i'll tell you the lessons to get a girl near you... Step one: make an romantic accident Step two: go near her as a friend Step three: do some friendly stuff and wait till the friend ship grows in to an another LVL Step four: at a night time where the moon shines above you so romantically date her and tell her that you lovvvvve her..... Now thats the four steps of getting a girl in Japan middle ages only Don't try this at home kids
correct but Aoama's steps are: 1.Keep on forcing the girl to love him 2.Keeeeeppp oooonnnn fffffooooorrrrrrccccciiiiinnnnngggg 3.trickery 4.torture her

Jessica Vlogs The problem is woman in that time doesn’t have enough right to divorce her husband. It‘s the sad thing. So please don‘t forget the horror of the past.
"Wedding Night Dagger"
@Maintenance Renegade why marry someone just for status and hope they die early? when they die you get kicked out the house.
@@Pattaphol he didn't sepcify where so maybe it can be in Europe and women in europe had much more liberty. And I'm 11, when you marry a minor, you can't really do anything with them. Oh wait Blanche of England OH NO
Okiku: i would rather die than date you
Aoyama: that can be arranged
Plz make more vids like this..
Will do
Okiku afraid for her life said...No

The folktales are what lured me into this channel, but being able to put those folktales into a cultural context while learning the fascinating history in such a fun way is what keeps me coming back.

There’s a book called the girl from the well. Spoilers Okiku is still around and working as the ghost version of the Punisher.
The Girl From The Well. I love that book. There’s a sequel called The Suffering that I haven’t read yet.
and here I was waiting for the Fujiwara clan to marry their daughters in the imperial court
😂
You know only 0.0013% of the worlds population is curently subscribed to your channel. You got a long way to go there Lin. Have you concidered summoning a vengeful sprit to aide you? Or possibly an army of peach/mellon/pod people?
I am growing and army of melon people in my garden right now. Or, I think I am. They may just turn out to be regular melons.
YAY another upload! Keep the great vids coming!
Woohoo! Will do
This isn't really related to the myth, but I've been watching the Man in the High Castle. Do you think the Japanese culture is portrayed correctly in it?
I'm not an expert, but it seems to be a good representation. I've only seen season 1. I think the spoken Japanese is sometimes off though, their accents I mean :D
That one dude (minister of commerce or something?) is verry spiritual, which is fascinating but not sure if there are many people like that nowadays. Although you could say that in this world, the Japanese were not defeated so they still held on to their belief in the divine nature of the emperor, and spiritual beliefs remained strong among the populace.
@@Linfamy You speak Japanese? How is your current level, can you read these ancient storys in the original language?
Honestly I could listen to you talk about ANY history. You deliver the story/ content in such a great entertaining way. You could start your own podcast too😂
And that my friends is why you never try to trick a woman, she will come back to haunt you.
So true. It's like trying to scam tbe government. They both get pissed because the hate having competition at their iwn rigged game.

Okiku: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9
Me: IT’S THE 10 DUEL COMMANDMENTS
Okiku is the servant you want. Loyal and dedicated. Even after her death, she still lookin for the plates until someone found it
Thanks for these videos!
Thanks for watching =)
I remember when you didn't even have 10,000. Congrats on 100,000!

to answer the beginning question: Marry my enemy. Loophole: Stay with said enemy, then divorce later.
Best story before bed ever!
😂
Your humor is on point this video! Thank you for the videos ❤️
😅
Hey, I love Japanese Folktales!

Thank you! As long as people keep watching ;)
If you can't get a girl near you i'll tell you the lessons to get a girl near you...
Step one: make an romantic accident
Step two: go near her as a friend
Step three: do some friendly stuff and wait till the friend ship grows in to an another LVL
Step four: at a night time where the moon shines above you so romantically date her and tell her that you lovvvvve her.....
Now thats the four steps of getting a girl in Japan middle ages only
Don't try this at home kids
correct but Aoama's steps are:
1.Keep on forcing the girl to love him
2.Keeeeeppp oooonnnn fffffooooorrrrrrccccciiiiinnnnngggg
3.trickery
4.torture her
i have heard this story on another channel. they say she still haunts the well and is still counting. People have tried to calm her by shouting ten but it only works for a short time. nice vid.
May the Japanese always remain Japanese.
