- Rescuing an old English upright piano from being thrown away. I tackle the problems on a budget. A moving company had this piano in their storage facility and was marked for disposal but dropped it off to my place. The piano was generally in good condition but it needed new key tops and a good service and clean.

I've heard of some piano techs using Super Glue to tighten up loose pinblocks. "Doping", I've heard it called. What's your opinion on that?
I love your work! And the piano's you save from the scrap heap. We've inherited a Strad upright, serial 1244 from the previous house owners. I'm curious if it can be salvaged. It was originally tuned 2 semitones lower, C was Bb etc. I've only raised it one semitone due to the age and fear of snapping strings. Your videos have really inspired me over the last few months to have a go with the tuning. Just curious if something this old could be saved. I have no qualifications or experience aside from trying to roughly tune and of course playing. Keep on with the incredible job!
Just have a go, there are resources on you tube for all aspects of piano tuning and repair. That's how I learnt 😊🎹

Our church received as a gift a small Baldwin upright piano. The piano is in good condition in that it stays pretty much in tune between tunings. The issue is that there isn't that flow between notes due to a poor restrain. I have adjusted the pedal several times, but that in itself doesn't seem to really help. The pads are not touching the strings, but apparently enough that we are not getting the flow that I/we are looking for. In short, the issue seems to be somewhere other than at the pedal itself, Any suggestions?

Difficult to say without looking. Are the dampers coming away from the strings when the pedal is depressed? If not, it could be that the pedal is bent or the lever attached to the damper assembly (at the back of the action) has come away from its housing? Could be a number of things tbh.
