I should say the people complaining here about the pronunciation of Copenhagen are not complaining about him not getting the local pronunciation right, it's that quite a few Anglophones "hypercorrect" themselves thinking that they should pronounce it as German sounding as possible, presumably thinking that this close to the Danish pronunciation. However, in Danish it is called "København" and we don't expect any foreigner to call it by that name when speaking in their own language. Just add a "C" to the word "open" and then "hay" and finally "gen" as the last syllable in "again": CO-pen-HAY-gen
" thinking that they should pronounce it as German sounding as possible" - and not understanding just how insulting it is for most Danes to be lumped together with the Germans. Kind of saying that the Finns and Russians are the same. Or speaking Russian to an Ukranian.
@@DKFX1 I KNOW the difference between Danes and Krauts (as my name here says). I have lived many, many years in Germany. So dont start brown-nosing the Germans....they fucking hate us and despise us. For them, we are "die dummen Dänen" and "untermenschen".
I was also wondering about that - as in my cirkle of friends and family we are not even close to consuming ½ a kilo of pork pr. person pr. day... Which this amount almost is...
You used to be able to get really cheap "caviar" here in Denmark. And a snack a lot of kids would get is a hard boiled egg. Cut it half. The youlk removed. The hole gets a dullop of mayonaise. And then filled with the cheap black caviar.. tastes so good.
Viking settlement? Abasalon in early middle-age started the city of Copenhagen. Before that Copenhagen was a fishing villages dating back to the stone age, but no one knows what it was called.

yeah... I don't know where they got that number from. It is wildly exaggerated. Danes eat around 115 pounds of meat per year, and that is not just pork.
Nah, its 29kg Per year ~ 64 pounds which is still a lot. We love bacon, ham, pork liver pate, chops, pepperoni, roast pork, sausages and on and the number entails all pork products
I love how he "explores smørrebrød" and "denmark's sandwich" when this stuff has almost bugger all to do with real smørrebrød.. this is all fancy high end restaurant stuff and has nothing to do with the real life equivelant us normal mortals would eat

1 second in and you documented you can´t even pronounce the name of the danish capitol correctly..... not even in english.... so stopped right there, nowhere was this gonna be interesting...

@@mochtegerndane7097 It's not insulting or offensive in any way. Our language is in fact germanic and does sound similar to german in many ways.

@@DKFX1judging from the other comments you are clearly a minority when it comes to this. Granted I’m more annoyed than offended
@@kristofferholst6053 I don't think you can make a judgement like that from a few comments on UA-cam. I'm guessing most people are not offended.
wait.. what? 332 pounds of pork? 😅 I know pork is popular in Denmark, but danes "only" eat on average ~115 pounds of meat (not only pork) per year...
I was also wondering about that - as in my cirkle of friends and family we are not even close to consuming ½ a kilo of pork pr. person pr. day... Which this amount almost is...
@@TainDKI don't know where that number come from. Many Danes don't eat pork at all.

Ahhh I miss ramulade and leverpostej 🥺
Love from Denmark🇩🇰
It is as if the narrator has heard the Danish words being spoken, but is determined to pronounce all the words incorrectly

I am offended. My food in the "Bizarre" category!!! 🙂
"Open faced sandwich" is an oxymoron.
As if you make a sandwich and then open it.
the video is clearly the work of the left hand
Ida Davidsen closed Her restaurant over 4 years ago, this is very outdated !!!!!!!!
How can someone get the English name of the capital so wrong? Might be somewhat forgivable if you were at least trying to say the actual Danish name
Why don't you just shut up and enjoy the show! Karen

Eventuelt serveret med en persillesovs der ikke tynd som 3 dage gammel opvaskevand som de viste i videoen 😅😅
Persillesovs skal sidde fast på kartoflen
Hvis du vil gøre det hyper-dekadent så blitz flæskesvær i blenderen og brug det i stedet for rasp til paneringen. Det er gris²!

Kopenhagen = Copenhagen in German!!!
Too much deep-fried food is used in such well-known places, it is under no criticism.
