That's the correct teaching. Joseph as a son of promise was not given to hard labouring but totally committed to God's course and he promoted him to riches that those who had all qualifications could not attain. Even Solomon didn't increase by labour, but inherited much from his father's labour and also willing to give up all riches( a thousand offering) in exchange for wisdom of God and God was pleased and blessed him more. So did David not increase by labouring and every other sons of promise. Abraham already had riches before God called him out and only blessed him more. Neither were they trading with God and making sacrifices of money so that God could prosper them with riches( money exchanging) but totally committed to doing whatever God commanded them to do and could give up all they had for the course of God. And God blessed them all richly in fullness of time. Scripture warned we must not labour to be rich. Proverbs23:4. God even warned those willing to give offerings to him in old never to give it just anywhere they see but where he chooses to put his name( instructs you to give), else he won't accept.Deuteronomy 12:5. Those labouring under the law to be rich are children of flesh and of the earth cursed ,so they make sacrifices to appease the earth to yield increase for them.
When God commands you to give to a person( whether money or service) and you rebel and prefer to give a thousand offering where he didn't instruct, such might receive increase but not from the Lord, like King Saul who loves sacrifices and to do his own things. Sons of promise might suffer a while, but through obedience and submission to God's specific instruction receive the promise.
There is difference between sons of promise and children of the earthly, like labouring in place of obedience to God. Solomon ,though had riches, counted it dung for excellency of knowledge of God ( wisdom) ,also like Paul, who counted his Riches dung( both material and intellectual) for higher calling that endures a thousand years( kingdom of God and resurrection). Jesus was labouring whether with sacrifices to increase in riches nor did his disciples, but trusted the father to provide for each need, and waiting for the kingdom where they can enjoy everlasting riches without end.
When God gives you so great a salvation, its with great joy to give willingly for his service when he calls. Those who can't give to God where he instructs them but prefer to make sacrifices where they want, are not his servants but serving themselves and ego. Including giving up themselves where he commands without grudging. They often prefer sacrifices that obedience which God disregard. We can't claim to be serving the true God but rebel at his instruction. Joseph first gave himself to God,then his resources to sustain Israel in famine.
So,the Antichrist teach his servants to withhold from the righteous so they can succumb to their strategies.

The Point? - Toiling in Torah day and night prepares us so that we can pass the "test" when it comes! Then we can receive our reward from Hashem.
