- A mixed bag of jobs getting done in this video. I shot and edited a music video for somebody last week and that took up a huge amount of evening editing time so this video was put on the back burner. France is warming up and so is the house as the bedroom is currently around 18 degrees and has had no heat on in over a week. Had a major breakthrough with managing the heat in the house and will cover that in another video. I'm missing doing the daily vlogs but right now the days are spent minding the boys mostly while Maeva is working.
P is also for pleasure.....watching the pleasure you take in your work , with your family, in renovating your home, and the pleasure you give us subscribers ! 😊
P is for Proud - which you should be for all you've accomplished. Beautiful paintings. "On Guard", nice sword, he loved it.
P for Positive ❤
It’s shocking to me how much of a difference your plastering has made… you do such a nice job. ❤️🇨🇦
P is for Perfect. What a delightful video. Thank you.
Greetings sweet family. Cool cloudy and rainy on the Treasure Coast of Florida❤
Hi Beverly. Was 22 degrees here yesterday and around 11 today! Summer was just teasing us.
Love watching you with the family...Such a boy with his pirate sword. Muggy and rainy on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Blue skies here in France today Gina but about half the temperature of yesterday! I'm delighted you are enjoying the videos.
Plastering looking great Dave … it’s all coming along nicely
Nice to see your interaction with the little one. He loves his new toy(sword). Love the music to the Timelapse 👍 Amazing wall art. Your Mum’s painting is gorgeous and so is the one of Marva pregnant with the doggie 👍
I think you did a nice job hanging the painting just like they are.
The house is coming along nicely with the plastering in the hallway and all the painting. Also you’re a great artist and your mum’s painting is great. Me likes your wee boys too
Thanks so much Annie 😊
The leadbased 'wallpaper' was typically used in the earlier part of last century to combat damp. You just put it up and then you could wallpaper over it without the paper wallpaper coming loose or showing damp marks. I guess it was like our times plastic membranes. I had it in my old house in Belgium (from 1949) from the skirting board and upwards 20-30 cm. On the chimney it would likely combat brown patches coming through, when rain and moisture from top of the chimney stack could bring tar and other components from the chimney, through the stone/bricks/mortar. These patches cannot be overpainted with normal paint but reappear again. There was one trick an old brickie showed us which could stop it. It was taking of everything down to the brick, then mix cowdung well and 'paint' it on and let dry. Then use cement to plaster it over. And finally skim with plaster. It did actually work, but looked a bit messy. So that leadpaper was probably easier to do.
Thanks for the info Catherine. Makes a lot of sense. I had thought it was only used on the chimney but makes a lot of sense as I believe the little sink there was supplied by a well beneath the basement.
thats a great storage area at the side of your house. that would clean up nicely and be very useful, when you have the time, of course,
Un papa multi tâches, et courageux 👏 trop magnifique ces petits bouts d'amour 😍 trop belle famille tout les quatre !!
Trop jolie les tableaux !

My birth last name is Gill
We may be distant relations! My distant relations were originally from the Aran Islands but they moved to Ballinderreen in the 1800s.
@@dublinvanlife466 unfortunately all I no is that my grandfather was from England and moved to Canada. My parents use to laugh and say that during World War One the Gill Clan must have been doing a lot of (getting around) because there are now a lot of us with different backgrounds. Lol
Hi Cynthia !!
