I absolutely love the passion of using reclaim items, I think it puts the authenticity back into the rooms. Both of you have a creative streak just like me. I love all that you've done 😊
Love the old furniture. You are a master at repurposing Ted, you are very creative! Love these doors, so pretty. The carvings on the wood is awesome. I love how you reuse awesome lovely pieces to make something special. Love how you are adding the end panels. Wow, that looks great!!! Yes!!! This is perfect, love it! You are a master carver and wood smith. Love it! All the best.
It was very fun watching Lesa finding the light fixtures in the barn! So many great finds! Ted is doing a fantastic job building the bed. The creativity of the two of you is a delight, the way you approach the work with such a positive attitude even encourages me to get to work! 😅Carry on! (As I have heard you Brits say from time to time)!
Wish I lived closer,I would volunteer to sort that storage and make into areas i.e lighting, furniture etc (OCD) I had an area like this in previous renos,my family called me a magpie ,however stopped taking the mickey when I came up for bits for their own renos😂
Absolutely love what Ted has done with the bed so far. He is an amazing craftsman. I can't wait to see the lights restored. I think they will be fantastic. Great to see back on our screens.
V clever repurposing of the wardrobe a) you got beautiful wood panelling for free and b) it instantly will give what is effectively a brand new bed age and the right "feel". Terrific.
Wow Ted you are a Wizard with the woodwork the Bed is going to look Amazing 🤗👍🍻 Lisa great job I the wall 🤗👍 💐🍻 Look forward to next week's works of Art 🤗🤗 Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Ooh fabric. You had made the first time you said ...fabric. Nothing better than finding good quality old fabric from a tip shop or second hand shop. It is like magic when you transform it into something else. Every piece unique. All the best to you both.
Lesa, that wall looks awesome. Those lights will be awesome, too. Ted, you still amaze and impress with your woodworking skills. Every room is unique and authentic. Using materials that were left or donated gives them new offerings and new purpose and serves as amazing artistic works.❤
Absolutely beautiful work Ted. That bed is going to be a masterpiece. You know you ought to start signing your creations so that in a hundred years time people can say..."Ah yes this is a genuine example of Ted Rogers craftsmanship" just like they do of Chippendale. Who knows you may even make a name as one of the other Chippendales too (nudge nudge wink wink! LOL)
Anxiously awaiting today's episode. I suppose this is good news in that your rental business must be booming and securing your financing for future renovations. Congrats on that. Film quality seems to be clearer. Higher definition of camera? or is it in editing? Either way nicely done. What amazing ceiling height in that bedroom under construction. I think those hanging lights will work with all that height. Wonderful workmanship and vision in your project.
THANK YOU for a fun video to watch. YOUR enthusiasm lifts me up!!! I wish I could just 'pop over' for a couple of hours to help organize that fun storage barn. What a treasure chest!!
Use what you need for the headboard but if you have any other unused pieces could make a pair of night stands as well is a thought. I can see why you picked the cabinet as it was to use the carving work to embellish the headboard is genius. Some might see it as waste of a good cabinet but I see recycling and making a life beyond it's original purpose. Luckily in France cabinets are a pence a dozen so can get them at a reasonable price to sacrifice to make them new objects. Hard pressed to find cabinets even the ugliest ones where I live cost a mint. Well done Ted and Lesa :)
I would have used the stained glass for this unit as it has the orange in the light but that's me. The second is small maybe for a bathroom or a hallway. The 3rd is a carved piece would go well with all the carved work in the room then again might be too much of it. If you could wire up the sconce would be fine. Maybe as night stand lamps that pair. I would use the lantern on the relais de poste building at the gate.
I enjoy watching your vlog and appreciate your hard work. For what it’s worth, I prefer the head of the bed without the rail you made. It doesn’t do it nor the bed head justice. Wishing you well.
I love your use of stone and wood and texture in the rooms. I'm not a big fan of all the wallpaper and patterns in many of the other diy chateaux channels.
Ted's work on the organic piece of oak is very nice, but I'm wondering if it goes with the rest which is very strict cube like pattern. a bit contradictory in style, maybe?
Wow you showed a picture of an ancient wool/silk/cotton etc spinning wheel? Please restore that or let somebody please restore it? They are SO rare. Those specific ones. I hope you can find textile guilds or hand textile crafters that can look after that wheel? Just thought I mention it. Sometimes one don't realize that those golden oldies are real gems. If you were in America or England I would've known who to send to you, but sorry, France I can't help. Best wishes. I can see you guys sitting and doing textiles and ancient hand crafts at that beautiful Chateau of yours.
That bed is going to be AMAZING!
Ted, you can't rush perfection. Looking forward to seeing the next episode.
No rushing.
Whether it’s a buffet or a bed it will still serve a purpose and be beautiful. Win, win if you ask me.
I love how Lesa and Ted reuse what they have.
I absolutely love the passion of using reclaim items, I think it puts the authenticity back into the rooms. Both of you have a creative streak just like me. I love all that you've done 😊
Fantastic job Ted looking good. Like the lamp Lesa😘
Yes I think she could safely shorten the wooden pendant column without spoiling it. It will be great to see it all polished up and in place.
Can't wait to see the bed as a whole unit , fabulous work Ted xx
Me to it's going to look incredible
Oh, joy! I've been looking forward to learning how to properly build a bed since you first mentioned it.

Love to see old furniture and turning into something other than its intended use. Well done!
You're both so clever at finding ways to make authentic looking items for your rooms! I'm so happy you both took on this amazing restoration!
I love seeing your beautiful wood work. My late father was a talented wood worker and I am so happy to have a teak dining table he created for me.
I think Ted underestimates himself his work is just lovely 😍
Love the up-cycle!
Well done both of you❤
Aren't they just fantastic ❤

Come on people over 6000 views but only 104 comments. Also only 1.6k likes. Lets help Lesa and Ted reach 20k and then 100,000k.
Can't wait to see the bed finished. ❤

Fabulosa Idea!!
It is Brittany fourniture. M'y family had this kind of fourniture. Bed, cupboard, for bedroom or for salle à manger. It was very commun After WW2.
i've used tea and coffee to dye my wood in the past.
L I K E 👍 👍 👍👍👍 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❣💯 ❣💯 ❣❣❣

Is it Ted playing guitar at the 8.30 mark?
Ted's work on the organic piece of oak is very nice, but I'm wondering if it goes with the rest which is very strict cube like pattern. a bit contradictory in style, maybe?
I personally like the juxtaposition with the geometric shapes. For info, the carved wood is Douglas fir
Au 16ème siècles ,ils utilisaient de la chaux mélangé à de la Terre de Sienne pour couvrir les murs ,le résultat ressemble à ce que vous faites
🌟👏👍🍀💐

Too bad a useful piece of furniture was taken apart, but it didn't appear to be that old. I can't wait to see those door panel beds.
As they say "one man's trash is another man's treasure" and what a treasure you made. Keep up the good work you two.
