Sometimes working on the same thing constantly can cause burnout. This was likely just a new project so they could avoid burnout and come back to the base game with fresh eyes again, Or do you expect your game devs to be slaves and work til they kill themselves just for your viewing pleasure
@@dierdred_the_gray Jesus Christ all he said was devs should've worked on finishing an unfinished product (That many have paid for) before moving onto other projects. Where the hell did he say he wanted them to be slaves?
@@joegatto781 its still the same game, Its literally more content for the game that he paid for, and he is complaining about the team finding a way to take a break from staring at the exact same data every day, avoiding burnout and still providing enjoyable content to their customer base. @@dierdred_the_gray i personally like the arctic idea, totally unrelated to what you were saying here but this game right here got lots of potential, and its already a good game. I hope they go back and continue the arctic mission further, i think giving the player an escape after finishing all the tasks would be a sick idea, leading into another mission where your fighting them off on the cargo ship or something. To be honest i think this game should have been more than just 20$ that's how much i paid for it what a steal of a deal for what we got. Such a great game i cant wait to see what's in store.
trust me if it was me working on this you would have a way better game than this plus a story line for a 4 man online team i had a lot of future plans for this game concept and they just ruined it they didn't even have voice overs cause there to stupid to find them and i wouldn't tell them how so they just place in writing for objectives they just completely ruined my idea of a great the thing game but i have something else planned now and it's still based on the thing but trust me it might take me a few yrs to restart again but i'll give you guys something amazing and it's just me alone so yeah you'll get something way better than this with a full storyline and voice overs to go with them for each character

The blue patch is the logo of the GOC (Global Occult Coalition), and the map is based on the Thing but the game is based on the SCP-5000, where the SCP Foundation wants to destroy humanity, and the main characters (On this level) are GOC agents that are investigating a research base that was attacked by the Foundation. I dont think the game devs stole your idea, and even if they did there's nothing stopping you from still working on your game since there aren't that many games that have the Thing story (Assuming your game's story is about The Thing) so Im sure it can be a great game!

I appreciate them making the antarctica map but they should of finished the what they were working on before starting something else.

that's not how game dev works.
Looks great but i wish they will change the UI and HUD elements to something like in FEAR2 and Dead Space. Make it part of the ingame world etc.
Maybe visor, BUT NOT FEAR 2.
Look at Metroid Prime or Star Wars Republic Commando.
@@harrietr.5073 FEAR2 i meant how they explained the hud. Its in the glasses the character wear.
