It reminds of a Bolens Diablo Rouge that was made in Canada that my Dad had when he was alive. The engine and 2 tracks were in the front and you sat on a seat over the skies. It wasn't the fastest snowmobile at 40mph but it was smooth to ride and fun to drive and go places other snowmobiles couldn't. Except water..lol..just like this double tracker.
The Imagination of the human race knows no bounds when engineers can design and build such incredibly helpful machines to help us with our daily tasks, this is fantastic, inspired and down right BRILLIANT 👍👍👍👍👍 and I do hope this machine goes into full scale manufacture.
Yeah, there was a Canadian version of this too, called a sno-husky, or something like that, and it wasn't made for speed, but for utility. The fact that you can haul logs with it is impressive. Trappers would be better off with a rig like this, in some respects, than a skiddoo. Low gearing is actually more useful than high speed in work situations. I actually laughed when I saw the guy went through the ice, having done that myself. Easy to work on the engine, simple design, yeah, it makes sense. But can you plow snow with it? Mount a snowblower on it? Mount a water pump on it? Mount a generator on it? It could be more useful if it had a few accessories.
Nicely done...but America had a domestic version of this back in the 20's and 30's. Farmers used them around the farm and it also had a wagon so it could transport goods and passenger. It was steered like a bulldozer crossed with a Conestoga wagon. it had reins from the laterals back to where the driver sat.
This is a booth simple and genious construction that can be made by any countryside genious. So it has probably been invented several times, but rarely set into serial production and never into mass production. However, the guys that made it this time has done a great thing; A cheap cargo vehicle for winter contitions.
Pro's and cons to everything. Obviously this is a capable machine for getting around rough terrain with some cargo. Firewood grabbing, checking the perimeter of your estate, getting into town when the roads are not passable by normal means. But I would not enjoy spending time on it during the harsh weather. There is something satisfying about being in a cabbed vehicle.
That is a really great working machine! They would sell well here in North America. Considering the price of the Polaris machines, and the John Deere Gators this is a bargain and much more useful. Where do I get one!
Aaaah, you are so funny ! You think that with import costs, import tariffs, government legislations, distribution rights, and of course, profits for everyone involved up to the dealerships, which is quite normal, that this machine would still sell for 2000 bucks ? You've got to be kidding, right ? If certainly won't be sold for anything below $12. to $15. k, at least. It could still be a good deal, mind you ! 👍
@@daltonx6177 If the manufacturing costs were 2-3000 dollars, a retail cost of $10,000 is quite reasonable. The cost of one trasnocean would be too costly, but a container full of such items would be marketable. You cannot expect that everyone who touches the unit will get 50% of it's value as profit. Manufacturing and distributing does not work that way. The off road atv has evolved into the side by side which cost in excess of $25,000, way too much, complex, and problematic. Most people want an off road vehicle to be functionable, reliable, and of reasonable cost. $25,000 is not it!
Before you said how it was 1 piece articulated frame and steering with rear tires. I was thinking it would be perfect new wheelchair base for me and steer with skid steer levers. Keep the ideas coming for me maybe some day I can afford a workshop and parts to build a off road wheelchair
Very impressive. Definitely one of the best multi purpose off road vehicles that I have seen in a long time. Would be great to see it marketed globally. Hats off to the inventor of this new product. Very smart person to come up with such a neat idea.
Have any of you seen the two wheeled fat tire bike. That is very light but goes anywhere. The tires are like huge inner tubes and even help it to float on it’s side similar to a Rokon. Made in Russia. They show it going up and down stairs with ease and going most anywhere with ease. Sand snow mud. It wasn’t fast but about as fast as this or faster. I would like one of those as well.
I could see this vehicle in Alaska and being better than a snowmobile for many many applications. with the size and shape of the 2nd half you could even put a put a tent on it to stay out overnight if you had to when it was necessary.
This is a very simple, effective and relatively inexpensive vehicle which offers reliability and durability for demanding terrain and meteorological conditions. By keeping the systems simple, reliability and durability are retained whilst keeping manufacturing costs down. Very neatly designed and constructed.
Years ago they made these. I had to operate the old ones a few times. They were much slower tho. They were known as Mule. It was a replacement for the horse for those who didn't like the modern gas or steam tractors at the time. Some had wheels some had tracks. Used plowing, mowing and many other uses. There was a series of ropes to control it ... like a team of horses. They weren't very safe at 10 mph. lol
The cool thing was it was controlled by ropes...one for the clutch, two for the throttle, two for shifting and one for each left and right brakes. If you were ingenious there would be an eighth rope to work as a kill switch. It was much easier to use the horse. LMAO Two ropes....
Reminds me of what my uncle had in the 1970s except a lot more powerful. His had a sled on behind with a bench that sat two men in a line, opened up to stow the chainsaws etc.
When I was a kid in the 60s, 70s there was some like these called a husky, you could use them summer or winter. Had different attachments to put on the back.
Looks like it needs to have a pivot joint in the middle to allow it to twist. This would compensate somewhat for the lack of suspension...but cost would go up. Also, it could drive in the opposite direction if the steering and seat were turned around, the driver sat on the drive/track half and steered the wagon half. Just an idea. Those Ruskies are SO Inventive! Impressive.
I wish I had one in Central Nevada USA where I could put it to an ultimate test and it would no doubt improve my life. I could take my disabled wife up into the mountains where I love and it would help me go because she would be there.
Think it's Awesome. I've wanted a snowmobile for some time now, but here in the states they are Very Expensive...even a good used one will cost $3,000.
I really like this 2-track design! I think it's better than the 1-track sled. Can you make a diesel version? Maybe with a drag steer design? I love it.
I like it and the price is fair, plus I can see a lot of copy cat ones made, converting an old snowmobile would be a good start (prob how it all started)
Great item at that price point, but the rear steering is very limited. Ask anybody who ever drove a half track or better yet a more modern commercial riding rough mower like a Toro groundsmaster from the days before zero turn machines took over. In slippery conditions, those rearward steering wheels would simply slide sideways across the ground and give you zero steering and making the wheels bigger or grippier to counteract that tendency made it a bear physically to crank the wheels back and forth. But like I said, it absolutely achieved its goal of inexpensive transport.
The very first tanks built had the same type of steering..trailing wheels. it is the simplest way to get steering..and since it does not have to put uop with cannon fire or explosives...it works.. It is not as efficient as clutches, brakes and differentials...

Wow I didn't know Bolens made the Diablo !@@!
Love the solution for steering. Simpler than skidsteer or differential steering. The homemade tracks are good also. A good work vehicle. Commendable!

50+ years ago, in Canada we had the Diablo-Rouge. Check it out. Very similar, and many are still in use. In fact, my neighbor has one....!
Great price! really nice tracks, and the steering system is great, I like the return springs mounted on the rear like that, nice engineering!

Looks like a Struck Minidozer hooked to a trailer like the Chinese made walk behind tractors.
Be good for retrieving animals hunting camping property maintenance pretty cool good video take care and be safe
So basically a half-track in reverse?

Guess we'll have to wait and find out. Seems like an interesting machine but everything will depend on the price point over here. 👍
Any links to sellers page would be helpful

-- Google ''off road wheelchair'' , it's already been done . . . . both wheeled & tracked versions .

Man Russia can throw down when it comes to building off road
They have to
When most of the country isn't covered by well maintepained roads... it's a good incentive

The price is right for two thousand dollars for sure. How much for shipping to USA ???? Thanks
And canada?
Yeah ill take one of these.
$2000
How much is it shipped to the USA ?

dude!!! this vehicle is REVOLUTIONARY!!!

Just what I want for Christmas next year :*

I like the rugged designs that eastern European/North-Western Asian inventors make
Ill take one of these.
Pretty cool 1920's technology.
That is pretty awesome, I would love one
AWESOME we would like to own 3 for collecting firewood for the winter season... we like the affordable price...
Remember s me of a big RC tank for a horse and he is on his chariot going through the brush. COOL!!
a chariot would be perfect for this protection, gun storage, ect. Would we need to wear a roman helmet?
@@johnforrest8042 Roman helmet is required.

That thing is awesome.
Great idea! I like this one.
Looks like it would be a good tool for a homestead.
This reminds me of the Husky from the seventies. Only different was that the trailer was basically just a bench on skies.
For water use I think a snorkel device for the air intake would solve the issue, but not in the winter use.
$2000 I want one.
I'm no engineer, but wouldn't it steer better with independent tracks instead of the wheels?
Look great
It works well in Ireland
In bogs
And forestry and shore
Nice setup. I would love one 👍👍👍
man that is nice another work of art from rus...i had already decided what to build ,then i saw this, haha...Yah bless...doug
Same here, Snowdog type tracksled it what I had in mind.....now I'm not sure!
That looks like a really handy machine for nothern living!
Congratulations!
Magnificent
Don't know which I like best - the machine or Grigorij's helmet !
Both!
Really unique. Bolens Diablo. Look it up.
Really cool. Good gear ratio
You should provide the link to the official website where to buy it
I love half-tracks.
Think it's Awesome.
I've wanted a snowmobile for some time now, but here in the states they are Very Expensive...even a good used one will cost $3,000.
Depends on what you mean by good. Where I live i see a lot of 90 s polaris indys go for a couple hundred bucks in running and driving condition.
That is one very impressive machine.
I really like this 2-track design! I think it's better than the 1-track sled. Can you make a diesel version? Maybe with a drag steer design? I love it.
Looks good guys.!
That is awesome and is a great price .
I like it and the price is fair, plus I can see a lot of copy cat ones made, converting an old snowmobile would be a good start (prob how it all started)
Very cool, Survival Russia uses something similar in some of his videos.
Great idea. If you made the trailer big enough to take the drive section then you could transport with a car and only one trailer. Just an idea
very interesting design
I love it ... and the price is right. Are they in the USA yet?
Super hot bravo cest une super machine comme dans le ten le fameux Bolens Diablo Rouge

Everything is water proof in Russia. Thats the sign of a great garantee. Submerge in water, tow out, start and continue your way
Would we be able to get this in Canada
This would be perfect on a homestead
I'm completely sure modifying suspension under that thing would make it a hundred times better
So has it gone into production , and is it available in Canada ?
Is this machine actually available to buy right now, because I'm interested. I live in Sweden.
Naaa, I didn't think so....
I'd like to order one, so do another vid with the information please.
It is incredible dude I never see it
I would buy one today if I could
Where can I buy in Canada
$2000 makes up for a lot sins! However, not sure it’s gonna maneuver well in tight areas without some type of proportional braking/steering?
Great machine!! Are these available in the states... NW Montana. Thanks!!
I've seen this thing on survival russia several years ago
I love it elegant design not for play like most shit made but real machine on budget.
Oh wow, that was a really heavy load you pulled out there. My gosh it might have weighed 75 pounds. oh my.
Such a tough machine,
I would love one but it would be hard to transport it!
Its awesome !!! Were cold i get one for 2000$ ?
Good video, cool machine. I really like your snow pants and jacket alot! Nice gear.
Oh is it a snow suit? even better.
I will take two
Good for work and hunting camp whare do you buy one
Tracked offroader existed in the 60’s. The brand name was Bolens . Google the name.
There were more than that too. Lots of brands made them.
