- Known as "X-Box," this 1955 Chevrolet has modern-day exotic looks and performance. Every corner of the car has been modified for aesthetics coupled with performance. Modern power starts with a 427 c.i. LSX ProCharger power plant backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit. A Max-G Art Morrison chassis handles corners and smooth highway driving with a C6 Corvette front end, a dual-purpose rear with a 3-link Watts and a 4-link. Stopping is handled by huge Wilwood brakes and large sway bars. Over 100 modifications and 6,000 hours created this one-off car. From the wedge-cut roof to all of the one-off machined trim and interior pieces this is a truly unique 1955 Chevy built by Pro Rides and is, as Hot Rod magazine said on their cover, the "World's Baddest 55.” Lot #1305 sold for $255,200 including buyers commission.
The original 1955 body was already perfect, you will never make it any better.
That car is too custom for my tastes. There's no chrome on it anymore, and I dont like the grey color.
I totally agree, I was thinking of painting my 55 Chevrolet vintage racer/stockcar this color and now I’m glad I decided against it. Seems kinda dull and drab. 😉👍
I agree as well. It really is not a 55. To customized. I like more original with a few upgrades to make them more fun to drive.

Love the graphite paint, totally ruined with the blue paint. Not to mention, other than the frame, possibly, this IS NO LONGER, a "55" chevy.

The guy who bought has more money than brains. I agree with others it was a nice 55. Only my opinion. So please don't any one get mad!
Damn they ruined it with the blue no way this is the best looking Chevy I think stevie D and his Chevy is easy cleaner but this still is nice!

I appreciate the craftsmanship BUT think its UGLY.
Its not my cup of tea...I think its interesting and i applaud their efforts...but ....I wouldn't spend $255, 200 on it! ....I do HATE what they did with the door pillar!!

Certainly a lot of work put in but I’ll be elated when people stop compromising the aesthetics of the build with oversized, cartoonish rear wheels.
They lost money on that build for sure.....what a shame..bet they won't go no reserve on the next one they build and sell...
I don't think this was a build & sell type deal, way too personalized design.
All those flip tv shows are bs, the whole business model is built on robbing helpless people blind, "building" a corner cut, slapped together, pump&dump POS and getting some chump to overpay for it. It's also largely fake.
I'd have fun blowing it up..
