I previously said I would never use Taom chalk because no chalk is worth £14 plus. My friend bought a piece and didn’t like it so he’s given it to me to try. After a month or so, it’s hardly worn being a few mm above the label. I haven’t had a single kick and only a couple of miscues playing from cushions though that may be my technique; certainly none from playing screw shots. It doesn’t turn my cue green, dirty my hands or leave a green patch on my chin! I like it and though I still think it’s over priced I will prob buy some. Hope a rival emerges to force the price down!
I'm a pool player and use their Pyro chalk. I am never going back. It still looks brand new after several months of use and it leaves no mess on the cueball or my hands. I think it can easily last a year, and 16 euros per year is really not much for a hobby,
I’ve got this chalk for playing pool at quite a high standard, and it’s honesty brilliant. In the month I’ve been using it I’ve never had a kick, it also gives you a psychological edge knowing you can hit balls cleanly and accurately. Well worth the £15.
I really wish I had known about it before. I’ve had possibly 1 very slight bad contact and that’s it. Do you think it plays better because I feel like I’m getting slightly more spin on the ball?
Break from life Well to be fair, I can’t feel any difference in spin, it’s just as good as any other chalk in that regard, but if you tap the cue ball against your tip by hand you’ll notice it doesn’t leave any chalk on the ball. And you don’t leave any chalk on the table, so its sticking to the tip better than other chalks, meaning you don’t have to use it as much. Better value for money.
Break from life I've just started using Taom chalk for snooker and Pool and it's definitely the best chalk I've ever used regarding kicks and miscues. I've heard of another similar chalk called Russian Magic chalk that is getting a buzz on the American pool scene. Came out on top (Taom wasn't tested) for less kicks miscues - billiards.colostate.edu/threads/chalk.html Ordered a two pack of Russian Magic chalk from Ebay for my new pool cue so i will see how it compares to Taom chalk.
I just started using TAOM V10 bought 3 pieces on eBay and because i bought more than 1 i got a discount the more i bought, payed about $26.00 AUD per piece. love it i won't use other chalk again.
I love it. I don't have many miscues (it's gonna happen) and more importantly, my hands are clean and my shaft and ferrule are clean throughout the day. To me, it's worth it
I have tried taom for a short time grip is very similar to triangle green which I have been using for over 40 years I will give it more of a chance to impress me and I have tried all chalks on the market that are green.
I purchased the TAOM V10 chalk and it's worth every penny of the price. It is more expensive than 90% of other billiard chalks but you get what you pay for. It's clean, stays on the cue tip much better, and you necessarily don't have to chalk after every shot. One piece of chalk will last you for a few to several months depending on the amount of games you play. I've played at least 200+ games of pool and it doesn't look like I've hardly even used the chalk. You don't grind this chalk on your tip like you would a Master chalk, you brush across your tip until covered with TAOM. Miscues are almost a thing of the past with this chalk! Even though it's a little pricey, it's an excellent product that I'd recommend for serious pool and billiard players!!!
Been playing snooker nearly a year now. I do suck but I have never experienced any kick. And I can’t really see what I’m supposed to see when clips of pros getting kick is? It just looks like a miss to me. I don’t know what I’m missing
seems like an excellent chalk to me - $30 each - I bought 2. Still using the first one - certainly over 300 hours on the table so far and the chalk is still a long way from being done. To me the cost is not significant considering the other costs of playing and how long this is lasting. I play for almost free at our senior centre, but our local club charges about $6 an hour per person for the table - so that would have been $1800 for table time vs under $30 for the chalk. The cost of the chalk is not an issue :-)
If you are going to do a test like this ,id say you realy need a good cloth on the table and most kicks are caused because the player has not hit the ball in the right place even if they dont admit that , also all the changes in balls over the years , seems to have helped the kick situation many of the old type balls did not seem to kick , its all about money of course and what balls are cheaper to make .
I spent 50 dollars on a dozen ProV golfballs that I would lose and replace three or four times over the course of a golf season in the years when I golfed every day...about 150-200 rounds. 200 dollars a year on golf balls was worth it. I'm not sure how long a block of chalk lasts if one plays snooker nearly every day? If I had to spend 30 dollars a week on chalk I may not go that far, but if it lasted a month I would consider it money well spent.
Sorry the app stopped working and I had to pull the video about how to download it. Thought I had edited this out in all the videos, must have missed this one out will get to it soon
Are the new soft taom gold chalks any good in your opinion in comparison to other chalk or earlier taom chalks and have you tried triangle pro chalks as well any good???
Thanks for the update regarding the gold taom chalk which I haven’t tried yet but was thinking of trying out not used the triangle pro yet either but found u can buy triangle pro chalk pack of 4 for 8 quid and from some of the comments from people they say the triangle pro chalk is like the taom chalk but with out the heavy price like taom just for one chalk alone those pro ones come in a pack of 4 for 8 quid and one comment even said the elk master pro tips works brilliantly with this chalk like a match made in heaven but I haven t tried either yet so cannot comment on wether that’s the case or not but you say the gold taom chalk is more grippy which sounds good for spins etc screw and swerve shots to name a few especially on club tables as cloth can be slow etc worn so not getting best response from the bells like that so this sounds like it counteracts the other cheapest for gold taom I think I found was 14.99 something like that
So many chalks claim to be the best i think its all in personal preference. Pool or snooker whichever is a brain game all about attitude and positive thoughts to me. Ive tried the Kamui chalk its super silky smooth and very soft but its no better than a block of master other than density I've experimented with cheap penny chalk to high end 30 dollars a piece chalk the best chalk for my stroke is predator its most similar to master same price point as well. I have came up with the determination that it all boils down to your individual stroke as to which chalk is best.
TAOM SNOOKER CHALK 2.0 15.00 € in Finland. Lasts approximately 1 year, even longer, because you don't need to chalk after every shot. I think that is not bad relation between price and quality. But it is up to you... ;)
i bought myself a peice of taom chalk and found i had less kicks but i found myself really having to load up the chalk, which lead to it running out pretty quickly, the guy in the shop said it would last a year, it lasted 3month before it was unusable. other than the price its really good, but i think the new taom soft will be a little easier to apply maybe even last longer
@@GSDhandler1 my dad loves it when i go in off a backspin shot lol. in his words "ha serves you right for showing off" and im like "dad im trying to play position ffs" but it alright he hasnt beat me since december lol
There is no difference between Taom chalk and any other high level chalk (e.g Triangle, Master). Kicks are a rarity and they will happen with whatever you use. And if you are miscueing a lot, it isnt the chalk.. its the fact you dont cue properly.
Bad cuing or trying to put to much elevation on the cue ball can cause miscues, but more often than not. A miscue is caused by not having enough chalk applied to the tip.
That cloth is great for people who are learning to pot the black. In my club they had a cloth that was worn like that so from were ever the cue ball was I knew were to aim to pot the black. Gutted when they reclothed it
I will put Outsville Great White up against it all day every day.. Our Hammerhead is already crushing their break/jump tip..... 2 Pieces @4x the amount of chalk for USD $25..

I haven't had a miscue since I started using it. Cost me $20, but I'll never use master again. It's helped my game lot.

It’s always best to keep your hands, shaft and ferrule clean, especially with the sorts of women that are knocking about these days.

Kamui takes that title.
Love the .98; thinking about trying the Roku. Which one do you use?
Man , i don’t see the free live Snooker link in The Description . Is it a joke?

Do you think that you should change your cloth?
And when do you think one cloth becomes too old
Maybe I could put some Taom on my Xmas list.
I’ve just had the v2 and I love it don’t have to Chalk the cue half as much I paid £16 of eBay and had it the next day to well happy
How much is the shipping charges to India
@Mark K thanks bro
Are the new soft taom gold chalks any good in your opinion in comparison to other chalk or earlier taom chalks and have you tried triangle pro chalks as well any good???
I’m using the gold ones right now. They are a little bit more gripy. Haven’t tried triangle pro but a lot of players seem to like it

Triangle pro is really good! The cue ball is glued to the tip. I would recommend it to anyone also it’s a hell of a lot cheaper.
Goed krijt. Alleen erg duur. En is snel op. Afleggers.
0:04 No, Well that was easy. **leaves**
I have a bunch of Spinks chalk believe it or not
cost is not an issue if it workes
Cost US$20 for TAOM 2.0 if you chalk it properly it will last 1 year or 25,000 time chalking the tip so it’s worth to buy!
So many chalks claim to be the best i think its all in personal preference. Pool or snooker whichever is a brain game all about attitude and positive thoughts to me. I just use the chalk from under the Dartboard

just to add to this ive had the taom v2 since christmas and its hardly gone down, and ive been playing quite a bit, defo worth £15
Fewer. Fewer kicks.....
@@GSDhandler1I agree totally i havent had a kick in ages but it still happens but im used to missing anyway as an lol
John-Henry Walker yes missing and going in off is my speciality!

I was miscuing a lot with master, since using taom, I haven't miscued once. I'll never go back to master.
0:34 that shot wasn't going in anyway.
Probably the worst cloth I’ve ever seen
It’s not as bad as it looks but yes
That cloth is great for people who are learning to pot the black. In my club they had a cloth that was worn like that so from were ever the cue ball was I knew were to aim to pot the black. Gutted when they reclothed it
Please Stop for a moment think about it just rembr both players will have to use it to stop kicks when playing.
You didn’t cover the same things like you covered in triangle vs master chalk!
No its not the most expensive chalk average price 15 pound a block , Kamui chalk cost on average 25 pound.
I was aware of it just lied for attention
LEP chalk was the best
What actually happened to that because it seemed to be sponsoring everything and then just disappeared?
If I had my own table at home I would use it. That said it seems overpriced for what it is.
I definatly needs to come down a bit. Trouble is people are buying it
I will put Outsville Great White up against it all day every day.. Our Hammerhead is already crushing their break/jump tip..... 2 Pieces @4x the amount of chalk for USD $25..
Outsville the great white is one messy chalk. And they still haven't resolve the problem.
Pretty sure Kamui makes the most expensive chalk? Something like £6 more than Taom
@BATTLE GOOF - Where are you looking? I found it at just short of £14 for the 2.0 version.
I like that Kamui 0.98. It works.
wtf that intro
Just a con job this chalk. Russian magic chalk pisses all over this for a fraction if the price
Why dont you enlighten your room... I mean its so much dark in there
I thought I heard (Everyone who play snooker knows how annoying kids can be) and thought What??? Let your kid fall asleep first before playing.
Picked 1 up for 17 pounds
That’s not bad. I’m sure we will see them come down in price over the next 12 months maybe even as low as a £10
Greenbaize Ltd sells it for 15 pound with delivery .
Is is really worth testing expensive chalk on such a shitty cloth?
It's not a matter of whether I can afford. I think its silly.
Worst chalk I ever purchased..hard as a rock
Don't eat it then.
Taom chalk is the biggest con in snooker. it simply does not do what it claims.
Unsubscribed.
Too bad your otherwise good channel had sold its soul.
