280 pounds of fangs and muscle are really scary. The book "Soldiers of Ice" from the Forgotten Realms has gnolls as secondary characters. They can be interesting!
I should check that out! As is, in D&D, they just seem like angry feral dogs. But I'm curious to see what other writers have done with them.
I enjoyed the old artwork on the box covers, but getting to see the minis is cooler because the design and sculpt team do such a great job.
I also noticed that there's less original artwork on the interior... I think they must have scaled back on the art in general.

I've got gnolls coming up as secondary antagonists in my campaign, I really hope this box releases in Australia before then! It's very strange, because the entire steamforged games webpage for epic encounters won't load at all so I can't find any info on when it will release down here.

Could you please tell me what the base size of these minis is, for regular gnolls / orks etc. We use Nolzur's minis and our maps/grids are 1 inch. Would epic enounter minis fit the grid?
Yes, the base sizes are listed on the sidebar near the top under the picture. They should all be mediums (one inch base) unless otherwise noted.

Please include measurements of the heights for the figures -- "scale" is a meaningless concept. Fantasy figures vary, widely, in "scale": 1/72 = 25mm, 28mm = 1/65, Heroic 28mm, 32mm = 1/56, etc. Reviews which share the figure heights, are the most useful, as the viewer can decide whether the figures are the correct physical size for their needs. Cheers!
