- I'm gearing up to run the Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign in two weeks. The WizKids minis for this campaign are an incredible addition to your tabletop gaming, whether you're running this particular adventure or not.
In the weeks to come, I'll be sharing my terrain and minis set ups here as well as offering DM tips and a campaign overview as the adventure progresses.

That was awesome! I look forward to seeing more
Thank you! I'm looking forward to sharing my set up and changes to the intro with you all!
Awesome collection, also planning here to run this campaign. Huge fan of Dragonlance since 34 years ago!
It's actually really a solid adventure, but it does need some massaging. How To Be A Great GM here on UA-cam has some excellent advice I'm going to take into my next session this Friday- and beyond. If you haven't seen, I posted a video showing my terrain set up and gave some DM tips last weekend.
@@DanMasucci Also is good idea to use the material published by Dragonlance Nexus, Tasslehoff's Pouches of Everything is vital if you really want the Dragonlance feeling...
There's actually 5 races of elfs. Qualinesti, silvenesti, kagonesti, dargonesti, and dimernesti
I just read that yesterday when breezing through my AD&D Dragonlance Adventures!
Would love to see a comparison of those dragons to the chromatics already released
I can make a short to post tomorrow
Posting that now
Very cool review. Long time fan of Dragonlance since the 80s and it was a no-brainer for me to run this when it came out. Currently about a third of the way through. On your comment about Knight Caradoc not having the traditional Solamnic Knight moustaches - this is part of WoTC's running policy of DEI, which has the unfortunate side effect of jettisoning much of the game's (and setting's) long-established conventions and lore for the sake of... change? I don't know. Can't say I'm a fan of many of their decisions in this regard, and in this particular case, the 5e update to Krynn means that Knights no longer have to be exclusively male, human, and have some kind of noble lineage. When you put all that together, it becomes understandable how even a human male like Caradoc doesn't need to conform to the old lore and have the long moustaches. In case you didn't notice, they also did away with the traditional way in which the Knights advance through the three Orders: Crown, Sword, and Rose. As a DM though, you're always free to take or leave whatever you want, and that's what I did. 😉
For me, it doesn't make sense to inject complete modern-day standards into a medieval-like society. Having women be knights, as the norm, diminishes Laurana's accomplishment of becoming the Golden General leading the Knights of Solamnia and the forces of good (she's my favorite character, btw). It also diminishes Tika, Goldmoon and Kitiara in my opinion. As for this campaign, it makes female characters as common and boring as any adventurer rather than being someone that rises above the norms to stand out and become a hero. That's my two cents, anyway
Couldn't agree more, and I'm grateful that you understand where 'modernizing' something has its value and place, and where it doesn't.
I did bend the knee somewhat and allowed Sir Becklin to remain female in my campaign, but I did stress to my players that she's but one of very few, and only because the Knighthood is beginning to realize their numbers aren't replenishing quickly enough to keep women out of the ranks. So, Becklin remains a rarity.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing how you depict some of your scenarios with all of your cool stuff. I built Wheelwatch Outpost entirely out of Warlock Tiles, and it looks amazing. 😊
