- A simple walkthrough in the Unreal engine 5 software to migrate over the game animation sample BP character and then change the skeleton mesh! 🦿
I didn't go over creating the rig, cause frankly I'm not at that level, but I used the game rig tools, which is a free add-on to blender and I will have the link for it underneath! 🤖
Plugins to install:
Motion trajectory
Pose search
Motion warping
Animation warping
Chooser
Animation locomotion library
Deformer graph
Enjoy! ⚙️

:0 A realistic stick figure is actually very unsettling!! Haha
Are you familar with the jumping blueprints in the new gas character?
I've tried to add my own double jump in the previous 5.4 version, but it was janky, but I'm still not sure how to effeciently add a double jump that works with the new jump/traversal animations BP...
I'm about to try it again, but I see maybe I can do a separate variable that is only active while i'm in air or if I haven't double jumped yet, that if I press jump again, it cancels the "Try Traversal Action" part of the jump BP or I can make it so I have to hold jump to activate the traversal and therefore I have the press jump to be free to double jump without worrying that I will do the traversal instead of double jumping... Interesting!!
@@Doubleaa500 I haven’t seen the double jumping, but I’ve played around with the traversal, funnily enough I also migrated a few of the blueprints and just dragged and dropped in my scene, I’ll look for that double jumping though now that youve mentioned it!
I grabbed the block blueprint they use in the sample project and added it into my scene, that being said if using first person the traversal usually bugs after jumping, the camera kinda gets stuck for some reason, probably just the way I’ve attached the camera but yeah 🧍♂️
