Attack on Titan is one of those anime that's so great it transcends anime. It is the first and only anime to have been recognised and won an award at the Astra TV Awards; and won the Global TV Demand Awards by being the most in-demand TELEVISION SHOW IN THE WORLD (not even anime but across all television shows) for 2021 and 2022.

It's how I got into anime. I usually hated on anime before because of the wackiness of it all. Now I see there's many genres and I tend to appreciate the more grounded anime, AOT has fantasy elements but it makes sense. Shows like Vinland Saga are a perfect example of the ones I usually like.
Red Swan (4th opening) tends to be a crowd favorite after watching the show. It's really sad when you know the meaning of the lyrics and visuals.
I could see why! I won’t doubt it entering one of my favorites, after I start the show:)
I have never seen anyone say Red Swan is their favorite, from everything I've seen the crowd favorites are Sasageyo and Rumbling

@@cosmictornado777After posting this comment I actually did some looking through peoples opinions on reddit and youtubers reactions to the OPS and the comment sections to see if maybe this person was right and maybe it's just the people I have seen who don't rate it as highly but I think I was right except people also rate Guren no yumiya really highly, there were a few people who rated Red Swan as their favorite but the most common crowd favorites were definitely Guren no Yumiya, Rumbling and Sasageyo.

On IMDB Attack on Titan has 4 episodes in the "TOP 100 highest rated episodes of all time" at spots 4,5,9, and 10.. it's only competitors none other than Breaking Bad and and Game of Thrones
I meant top 10... in top 100 it has 12 episodes.. 4,5,9 10, 12, 21, 31, 52, 58, 59, 70, and 90

Most people didn't like the 4th opening (Red Swan) all that much at first, because everyone was so used to the hype and anthem-like sound of the previous openings. So it was jarring in a way and people said almost the same things you said "it didn't feel like AoT". Thing is as you watch the show, you'll start to realize that each opening perfectly fits what that specific arc is about. AoT is not just hype action, there are emotional, personal moments to it as well. I know that some people who didn't like the opening at first actually grew to appreciate its meaning later though. You'll see why when you watch and finish the show 😊
That makes total sense! I figured each opening fit the arc, but I could see my self liking opening 4👌🏽 as I was editing this video, it kinda became catchy to me
Attack on Titan is Top-Tier at worst, and God-Tier at best. If you haven't seen it yet, I can't recommend it enough. Especially as a fan of One Piece, I feel you would appreciate the emotional turbulence that molds the characters as the show goes on. And the OST/Music is BEAUTIFUL.

I second everything. There's many huge plot things that you can get spoiled so easily on because people are a holes. I have also made me mistake of watching some things and got spoiled. Aot fans in particular are notorious for spoiling everything.

@@JonDejourthe term Titan comes from Greek Mythology as far as I know. The Titan Chronos, the father of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. He is the God of time, and he saw into the future, that his sons would kill him. because of that he decided to eat them (He’s a huge dude, a titan). They escaped from his stomach and killed him, and thus the prophecy of the future he saw came true. (Probably inaccurate, as I wrote that from memory, if anyone knows better pls add or correct)

Personally, I always loved Opening 4. I know people probably didn't like it much since it was so different from its predecessors but I like how different it is and it hit so much harder with the season. I remember the first time I heard it and I just thought it was one of those that give you a false sense of security. But I found the vocals and visuals to be so appealing.
It is really different fr, but I could see myself liking op4 after I watch aot, the vocals are nice in it I’ll agree with that:)

The last one ("Under the Tree") is actually not an opening, but an ending. And the visuals that you saw are fan made (and so was full of major spoilers).
i ll suggest you a concept , just a suggestion for the future : to react to anime openings from different languages and compare them or choose the best version , like english , german , arabic , french ... animes like one piece , dragonball , hunterxhunter ... just an idea for you :) gd luck
